You've heard the saying, "Heaven's a little closer in a cottage by the sea". You will find this true after staying in this lovely, inviting home. From the moment you step inside you feel a sense of peace and tranquillity. It's evident the owner has taken special care to make each and every room a fun and relaxing retreat. The home is custom decorated throughout with exactly what you would imagine and more for a place on the beach. During my visit it was cool out so I enjoyed curling up on the couch with a good book while enjoying the wood burning fireplace and the gorgeous ocean views. Even Fido will feel at home with all of the "pet friendly" items provided, including a bed just for him. The basket of goodies left for us was a special treat and I loved the drawer full of a variety of flavored teas.

My host has even put much thought and detail into the outside of this home. Upon entrance through the wooden gate in the front you will find a little garden and path that leads to the back deck which overlooks the ocean. Situated on the deck is a large gazebo with your own private hot tub in it... Boy was that nice to have!

The Oregon coast is always beautiful come rain or shine. One day I took a long stroll on the beach and found some sand dollars and even some "bear caves" to explore in. Oceanside is the perfect place to enjoy the Oregon coast and this is the quintessential place to stay.

  Our family ventured to Anemone House over Thanksgiving weekend and had an awesome time. We felt like we were home the minute we stepped in. Paul and Sue have the place well stocked with everything from bath and kitchen towels, hair dryers, to staples in the pantry. What you see in the pictures is what you get when you arrive. I would definitely recommend Anemone House to anyone wanting a relaxing home away from home experience on the Oregon Coast. Had a great time walking the beach, hunting for sand dollars and just enjoying the outdoors. The hot tub was great too as we sat it in and watched a beautiful Oregon sunset.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  Our family gathered on the Oregon coast for a pre-Thanksgiving and birthday celebration. The setup of the house is ideal, with lots of space and an extremely well-equipped kitchen. We cooked at home each evening, and took advantage of all the home had to offer, including the hot tub. Communication with the owners was smooth and quick. We would very much recommend this house for your get-away.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  Mark and I are going to write a wonderful review in Tripadviser. Your house is lovely!!! We were so busy cooking and beach combing we never made it into the hot tub. Hopefully, we won't be as busy when we are in Sedona and we will be able to use the hot tub. I have rented many vacation homes and yours by far has been the best. We cannot wait to see your property in Sedona!!!

  We have had a wonderful week in the Anemone House and would love to come back next year. The view was amazing and we all loved waking up to that! The entire house itself is very lovely, from the luxurious bedrooms to the fantastic hot tub. This week went way too fast and we sincerely hope to come back soon.

  We could not believe what a beautiful house we had found in Oceanside! It was fantastic for our family - beautiful rooms, great views....in fact the view was so beautiful that when we traveled to Cannon Beach we were disappointed - we were so spoiled by the view and the wonderful walks on the beach!

  Anemone House in Oceanside was the find of a lifetime! We searched for weeks for an Oceanside home to rent and when we found this one, we could see from the photos that is was a very nice place. We had NO IDEA just how spectaculare the home, the view, and the little town was! The deck and hot tub were just the icing on the cake. The luxurious beds/bedding - a dream!

  Sue, What a beautiful home and view. The only thing wrong with this visit to the Anemone House was that it was not long enough. We found the telescope in the front closet and watched the sea lions out on Three Arch Rock from the deck and laughed as the seals played in the water right in front of the house. As an airline employee we have been blessed with the ability to travel and see much of this wonderful country. We have traveled once a month for 4 years and this home and view gets a 10 +++.   Sue, you and Paul's home here is Awesome. We love it and it is so nice to be in a beautiful home again after so many nights in hotels. You should write a book on how it's done (PROPERLY!) vis a vis renting out homes. You have thought of everything and then some. We feel so grateful and lucky to have found you on vrbo - we are spoiled tho now for anything less!   Hi Sue! Just writing to let you know we had a wonderful time last weekend. We have rented homes before and yours is by far the best we have ever stayed in. The home is more than well-stocked, the artistic touches are beautiful and the view, despite the foggy weather was awesome. We found many agates, the kids caught a huge crab and beach access is only a few minutes walk away. Our doggy appreciated the dog bowls and towels and the hot tub was just what was needed after a cold day of exploring. Thanks for the good memories. We will definitely add your home to our yearly getaway list. Thanks again, The Hebert family
