We'd like to invite you to our Klassy Kalama Terrace Condo on the island of Maui, Kihei, HI!
Our renovations were recently completed. We know you are going to love the Island of Maui, and you will enjoy staying at our condo.
Our condo is romantic, cozy, quiet and close to the beaches. We are centrally located to all activities and highway connections to all sites on the Island. It is an easy four minute stroll to Cove Park, where surfing and paddle board lessons are given daily. It is the same distance to famous Charley Young Beach where weddings are conducted regularly and you can watch beautiful sunsets. Walk another minute north to Kalama Park to join in festivals, jam sessions of drums and Ukuleles, skate boarding, softball diamonds and a constant volleyball game. A wonderful playground for the little one is there, also. Across from this park is a Foodland grocery store, superb restaurants, sidewalk cafes, a thrift store, tourist spots bars, and a movie theatre. Venture five minutes south to the Kamaole Beach I next to Charley Young Beach. The beaches are connected. Get a "plate" at the "Da Kitchen" restaurant while riding our bicycles and continue south to explore the famous shops at the Wailea Mall. We offer free usage of our Mt. bikes, a savings of $44.00 per day. Golf is available within 15 minutes at numerous fantastic courses. Use our full golf club sets and enjoy a game of a lifetime! We recently acquired two 7' surfboards which we offer free usage of while you are our guests. That is a savings of $25.00 per day per board! We also have a 12 ft. surf fishing rod and reel with line. Also 7x35 binoculars for whale viewing. You have reserved parking.
Kalama Terrace is located in beautiful South Maui in the town of Kihei where rain is a rarity almost assuring you of a warm, sunny vacation. The condo has locked gates for added security and a resident manager that is very vigilant. With only a 30 minute drive from Kahului airport, you could be basking on the beach sunning, swimming and just enjoying the tropical setting of Maui within a very short time of arriving on Maui. Since "our" beach faces the western horizon, you will enjoy some of the most memorable sunsets you will see anywhere.
Our condo has everything that we found necessary for an exciting and adventurous life on Maui. Even a Pack 'n Play for the little one. Island breezes flow through the unit when the door is open and the air conditioner is rarely needed to cool the area. The coordinated living and dining room furniture are accented by the flowing curtains guarding the private Lanai. We also have an oak , full size, futon. Stay connected to home with the high speed Internet computer, WiFI and cable for the flat screen TV. An additional TV is situated for lazy bedroom viewing. The kitchen is fully equipped and not missing anything that we could think of for at home cooking of nutritious meals. We provide small bars of "Klassy Kalama" handmade soaps, made by "Heidishandmades" for you to take home. The bedroom is for lovers only! Custom Levelor curtains block out all night light and reveal the unique "sky!" Come see for yourself. There are shared washer and dryer facilities at the complex. Come play with all the toys that are provided including two bicycles and you will have a super vacation in Maui. Unfortunately, we cannot supply enough time!

- Whale Watching is from December to March! Take the adventure of riding a bike down from the Haleakala Crater! Hike the Iao Valley and drive the famous "Road to Hana" and beyond! Some of our guests go on diving excursions, snorkeling excursions, zip-lines and whale watching excursions. If you plan to stay awhile, we recommend a stop at Costco, Walmart, or K-Mart, which are on the way from the airport.

We had visited Maui for three years and finally were fortunate enough to buy this condo. We completely renovated it and fell in love with it and the complex. We just hope that your stay here is as wonderful as ours is every year!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We are impressed with the cleanliness of the complex, its fauna, unique swimming pool, and how quiet and peaceful it is in the condo. At night the custom transom stain glass window glows and all is well. We have very friendly neighbors!
Owner's Map of Kalama Terrace
Jerry is a retired Marine Pilot and Physics high school teacher. Meredith is a retired accountant. They live on a farm in Milton, Florida where they raise Red Angus cattle and Boar goats, as breeding stock and pets. They also have a vineyard as a hobby. They enjoy the white sandy beaches of Northwest Florida, traveling, and spend lots of time with their children and grandchildren. In the summers they escape to their lakehouse in Ohio for cooler summers and to enjoy more family!

We had such an amazing time. Your condo is beautiful and in such a great location. Without a rental car for 2 days we found it very easy to get around by walking or taking the bus. We enjoyed the pool and barbecues and were able to meet some of your friendly neighbors and guests. Thank you for the use of the bikes and surfboards. We also appreciated having the beach towels and coolers available. We loved Kihei and we would really enjoy staying at your place again. Thankyou for everything!

Aloha Jerry and Meredith! Hau'oli Makahiki Hou!! Here's a quick note on our stay... Your condo/Kalama Terrace is very well located to everything Kihei has to offer - beaches, shopping, restaurants, even going into Kahalui is easy. The complex is clean, quiet and even though the condo is located just across the pool, we never had a noise issue. The residents/other visitors are friendly, welcoming and not nosy at all. The directions and instructions you provided are very clear and helpful. The condo has EVERYTHING we needed...and everything you showed in the pictures is there. Both of you have evidently showered a lot of love and attention on the condo and this makes it all the more comfortable for guests. A word of thanks to the previous guests as well - most notably to those who left the Road to Hana CD and some Italian herbs in the kitchen :) We enjoyed a lot of morning coffees & evening drinks on the lanai with Coco II, who we're happy to report was thriving when we left. We read the homestyle guidebook cover to cover and it was as good as the commercial ones. We did manage to catch a sunset from 'your secret spot' on the last day and I must say...well found!! Since it was raining during our visit, we were unable to bike anywhere and drove to the Ulua & Big Beaches almost everyday. However, we loved that if weather permitted, we could've walked/biked across the road onto a number of beaches. Word of thanks to Jerry & Meredith as well. Being newbie swimmers, we were apprehensive about going snorkeling even though we really wanted to. We emailed Jerry & Meredith with our questions and they were nice enough to send us pointers within 15 minutes, following it up with what in the condo could help us. We managed to get in some time at the Ulua Beach and loved it. We are definitely not resort folks, so loved living here for the 5 days we could. We will also be recommending your place to our friends if they travel to Maui. Our time in Maui and your condo was the honeymoon we never had so Mahalo for sharing your condo with us. Jerry and Meredith: Your condo was amazing...so pretty and quiet, just what we wanted! With such a short visit, seems like we just didn't have enough time to accomplish all we wanted to, so will definately have to come back, hopefully next year. Thank you for all your help and being so friendly and easy to email with regarding the arrangements, you made it very easy to figure out what we needed to do and where to go. We mostly shopped and relaxed on the beach, but did take the drive around the north end on the one-lane road...sooooo exciting!! After that experience, decided not to attempt the Hana road!! we had a great time in maui! the condo was great. it had everything that we possibly needed and more. we really liked the fact that there were condiments in the refrigerator, coffee, every utensil possible, sporting equipment, beach gear... our daughter had a great time too. we were at the beach a lot, white rock beach in particular, and she enjoyed playing with the beach toys. we attempted to watch the sunrise at haleakala, but it was so cloudy, we barely saw anything. we know that we are bringing gloves next time we do that. we went snorkeling a few times and traveled all over the island to explore. we found two of our most memorable and favorite things to eat- the spicy ahi poke at eskimo candy best poke ever!!) and the spicy pineapple shrimp at geste shrimp truck by the community college. we will definitely be back, and we would love to stay at your condo again. i gave the information to a few friends of mine who will look into staying there as well. it was absolutely perfect!!!

We found the Kalama Terrace to be well located to everything - beaches, restaurants, etc. An easy walk to the Kam I, II, & III beaches. We loved your "secret spot" for romantic sunsets, literally two minutes walk away from your condo! The condo was perfect. We appreciated the big things: the A/C, the separate bedroom, all the "perks" you offered, such as your good quality beach chairs, coolers; and the little things, for example the safeway and foodland cards you provided, and the handmade soap. We found it was such a great deal staying at your condo and we would love to return. Thank you for helping make our honeymoon perfect!

Our stay was wonderful. The atmosphere of the condo made us all feel really at home, and all the personal touches made it all the more inviting. The location of the condo was perfect, close enough to go to the beach, as well as the small towns in the surrounding area. The condo was very clean and neat, with the perfect amount of amenities for a family our size. I would definitely recommend the use of this property to friends and relatives.

(Excerpts from an email). Dear Jerry & Meredith, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maui and were very satisfied with your condo....... We did all the usual tourist things and I discovered a couple of fitness centres in Kihei which offered very reasonable visitor rates and where I was able to enjoy yoga and pilates. I also found an ocean front yoga class that was great. (Details of these have been left in your information folder). We particularly enjoyed early evenings watching the sunset at Mulligans on the Blue or listening to live music at Life's a Beach. All in all we had a wonderful time and just wish Maui was a bit nearer to England so that we could revisit!! Cheers

Hello Gerald and Meredith We leave the wonderful condo in less than two hours. It's still a wonderful time and it is with regret that we leave room for other lucky travelers. We have loved living here the past two weeks and expect to return as soon as possible. Everything is okay in the condo, we did not use the new coffeemaker because we use the small enough for 4 cups. Unfortunately we broke two glasses of wine by washing, we've replaced them with six new glasses. Thank you again. Gloria and Louise

Hello, Meredith...Don and I are in Kanapali now and we miss Kiehei. It was so nice staying in your place and we will definitely be back. I am very sorry about the late call when we locked ourselves out of the apartment. I knew it the minute I shut the door that I had made the mistake. (We received this nice email from our guests.) I just wanted to let you know that we very much enjoyed our stay in Maui including the stay in your Condo at Kalama Terrace. We found everything to be in order as you described including that the location is near several beaches, resturaunts etc. The condo is very comfortable, clean, and the ammenities/useful items that people use when in Maui certainly helped save a few dollars. We found the information in the notebook and other reference materials to be very helpful. We did leave a Tape for the Road to Hana in the notebook so that others can use it. We locked up the place left the keys where we found them and we made it home safe! Thanks for sharing your place in Paradise!!!! Jary & Marilyn
