What a wonderful week we had here in Central PA. The cottage was absolutely perfect for our small family. The location was just right and the peace and quiet, after the torrid days on roller coasters, was just what we all needed. Thank you for providing us with a great place to stay. It was so nice to be only a stones throw from the Hershey attractions, especially at the end of a long day. Thanks also for the guide books and leaflets! As others have remarked it was great to come “home” at the end of the day; so much more intimate than a hotel. We all loved your cottage! The cottage had everything you would want for a vacation stay; cleanliness, comfort, proximity to attractions and owners who were great to work with. The house was the perfect size for our family and it had everything we needed for an incredibly relaxing week. Weis grocery store, Wal-mart and a variety of meal choices nearby. Cute cottage close to all Hershey attractions

I loved this place!! It is a cute cozy cottage tucked away just a few minutes drive to Hershey. FIrst let me say it is CLEAN, number one for me. Very well maintained and decorated and very cozy. It is perfect for families with children with the second bedroom with three bunk beds. Melissa was very helpful in welcoming us and giving us some travel advice for Hershey. It was nice to be able to spend time at Hershey attractions,come home for a rest and go back because of the close location. I will definitely stay here again.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We have had a great vacation here, everything was wonderful! We all thoroughly enjoyed our time in PA, and the Hillside Cottage was a huge part of that. It is a beautiful, very well maintained place and we are so glad to have found it. We loved having the air conditioning, because it was quite hot some of those days! And my 5 year old especially appreciated having such a nice a TV for a bit of morning and evening cartoons. We all spent time out on the porch, using the swing. Having a washer and dryer right there was so helpful. We loved that the cottage has such a 1920s bungalow feel and the older walls were a godsend because they are much thicker than many of todays building walls so the place is very quiet even with 5 people milling about. When in the bedroom with the bunk beds, we couldn not even hear the TV on the other side of the wall! Again, the drawer full of maps, brochures and menus was so helpful. It is how we got to Lisas cafe, Mt. Gretna and around Hershey & Harrisburg in particular. We all have wonderful memories of a fantastic vacation. We loved having a home base rather than a hotel room and would recommend the Hillside Cottage to others. Thank you again for sharing your cottage with us!

The cottage was incredible. I was a little concerned about renting a house from another family that I had never meet for my family's vacation, but the experience was perfect. I would definitely rent this place again and I've already referred your cottage to my friends and their families. We spent a week at this cottage and can't say enough about it. The care and attention to detail is obvious and most importantly it is so clean and well decorated. It's in a great location, only a short car ride to Hershey Park, Hershey outlets and downtown Hershey. Renting was easy and Melissa and Travis are very friendly. This cottage was absolutely perfect for my solo vacation! The owners are amazingly accommodating and friendly. The cottage is so warm and beautifully decorated. There were days when I never even left the house! I am definitely planning a return visit and have saved this site in my favorites so I can return again and again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Hillside Cottage helped the girls to unload. Our party of five managed to survive shopping, “spa”ing, gambling and wine. The great location was a plus even though the GPS got us lost. We will recommend it to all our friends – with the hopes they won’t take our weekend! The home was perfect for our girl’s getaway, clean, comfortable and homey for our wonderful stay! From the minute we walked in, your cozy cottage made us feel at home. So much nicer than a hotel room! We loved the warmth of it and the tasteful decorating. The maps and brochures were very helpful. Cute Country Cottage - just perfect for a Hershey Visit

Just came back from a fall weekend at Hershey and our 'home away from home' cottage was just perfect. Nice place to come home and relax after a full day of fun. It is small, but perfectly suited to a couple - or a small family with 2-3 kids...and very clean. Located just 4 miles from Hershey Park - can't get much closer with the hotels in the area. Travis was very helpful with places to eat and how to get around Hershey. Will definitely consider this for future trips to Hershey.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a fantastic stay at “The Hillside Cottage”. The house was better than advertised and the location was great! The cleanliness of the cottage and attention to detail was certainly at the forefront of the owners and extremely welcomed by us. Prior to booking we read your many great reviews and particularly zeroed in on the ones that mentioned how clean it was….big plus for us. We could tell that you take a lot of pride in your cottage based on its appearance both inside and outside. The large back yard, relaxing porch swing and all the other amenities made us feel right at home and definitely a stay to remember. Thank you, thank you! You made our visit to Hershey even sweeter. Your cottage is wonderful, filled with all of the personal touches and extras, you made us feel right at home. So clean and well kept, what a great place to come back to after a long day. We loved being able to cook our own meals and avoid fast food overload. Our kids loved playing outside, it was great for them to have so much space to run around. They were so excited to find the toys and bikes. We all enjoyed the front porch and swing! Thank you so much for sharing “The Cottage” with us. It was our first visit to Pennsylvania and we certainly choose a beautiful area. This was the perfect home base for us for the week; we traveled each day in a different direction. Everything in Hershey was wonderful from Chocolate World, Hershey Story Museum, Founders Hall, Dearden House….etc. Lancaster, Gettysburg and York were all great as well. This is a very tastefully decorated home outfitted with everything you'll need for your trip. It's very clean and the kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and even sippy cups and plastic spoons and bowls for young children. It's very close to Hershey and all the attractions. I liked that there was a washer and dryer available since my 3 year old got chocolate on her clothes every day! I appreciated all the menus and brochures. We had a great meal at Funck's nearby in Palmyra. There is a grocery store (Weis) and Rite aid right down the street. I would stay here again if visiting the area. Thanks Melissa and Travis.

The Hillside Cottage was a great place for our first sisters and daughters weekend! We enjoyed breakfast at the Hershey Pantry, making our own chocolate bars at Hershey’s Chocolate World and outlet shopping in Lancaster. Back at the Hillside Cottage, we loved the homey décor and the front porch of the cottage. It’s also great to have towels and bed linens furnished. The cottage was very CLEAN and in great condition. We enjoy everything about the cottage! The cottage was very comfortable and close to all the places we wanted to visit. Thanks to Melissa and Travis for providing a great place to stay. We were able to enjoy some of the local scenery and restaurants. My brother was happy to accomplish recordings for his next album. We truly enjoyed our stay. Great vacation. Great way to end a long day out visiting local attractions. Very comfortable living arrangements. What a beautiful, clean, quaint and cozy cottage! Your hospitality was above and beyond what we could have ever expected. We looked forward to coming “Home” after a long day in “Amish Country”. We truly enjoyed our stay here at your cottage. The accommodations were immaculate and every detail taken care of. We felt at home and took pleasure in the smallest things – loved having coffee in the morning while listening to the neighboring rooster! Our family had a wonderful stay at Hershey. Your cottage is perfect for a family with young children. My four year old just adored her “vacation house on the mountain” with bunk beds and porch swing. Your hospitality and sincerity was most appreciated. You were very gracious and we would recommend your “home away from home” without any hesitation.
