Our property sits on a quiet lane off a ridge that separates the country of Mill Valley and Mount Tamalpais State Park. Across the street and to the West is 25,000 acres of protected land that stretches to the ocean and encircles Muir Woods, a National Monument. To the East is the charming town of Mill Valley - just an 8 minute drive or a 35 minute walk.
The house was originally built in 1927 and completely remodeled in the last 5 years with a fine eye for quality and detail. From the bright comfortable living room and spacious deck nestled in the trees that offers views of the mountain and a peek of the Bay, to the sun drenched deck off the master bedroom, you will enjoy the retreat of our home.

Why the Owner Chose Mill Valley
After living in downtown Mill Valley for 8 years, we moved to the mountain and discovered the magic and peace of this area. The house is an 8 minute drive to downtown Mill Valley, 20 minutes to Stinson Beach and just down the road from Muir Woods and Muir Beach. And, of course, San Francisco is only 20 minutes away. At the end of our lane are steps that will take you on a hike to downtown Mill Valley. Our children will sometimes walk to school (about 35 minutes) or walk downtown with a friend to get an ice cream.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The best things about our home: The sunrise from the master bedroom, a large deck shaded by a beautiful pine tree and view of Mt. Tam. Once you step outside the possibilities are endless: walk downtown for breakfast and coffee and hike back up for some good exercise, attend the Mill Valley farmer's market on Friday, take a swim at the Mill Valley Community Center, kayak on the Bay out of Sausalito, take a ferry and explore all the delicacies at the Ferry Building, drive to the wine country or be at some of the West's best skiing in less than 4 hours.
