Olive's Villa is a beautiful private house of 250m ² built entirely in local stone, with a pool of 33m². The villa, designed for 10 people, is full of charm, its stone walls, its wooden floors and exposed beams give a very traditional and warm atmosphere. The house is fairly intimate, despite its location in the village there are few opposite.
This villa is perfect for hikers, for those seeking the country life and the encounter with the authenticity of a Cretan village. This villa is not suitable for those who are looking for the city life.
Location :
This imposing villa of 250m ² is situated in the village of Elefterna between Rethymnon and Heraklion, 12km from the beach and 22km from the town of Rethymnon. In the village of Elefterna, there are 2 tavernas and a small cafenio. The long sandy beaches of Stavromenos are located about 12 km.
It is a place with historical and archaeological sites, and for those who enjoy walking there, among other things, a wonderful 2 hours hike to the famous monastery of Arkadi. Built on a solid rock, its location offers magnificent panoramic views of the mountainous landscape of the village and the sea beyond.
The large open space :
Wooden floors, beams, alcoves, stone return a traditional atmosphere, warm and comfortable. Located on 1st floor: main entrance opens directly onto a large open space of 70m ² composed of a kitchen, a dining area and lounge area.
The kitchen, overlooking a terrace, is equipped with a microwave, a refrigerator, various ostensibles, and has a dining area with a large table and chairs. Under a wide arch, the dining area has a large table, chairs, a small library and the lounge is equipped with a stone fireplace for the winters a little cool and a television.
Bedrooms:
The house has 4 bedrooms in total: 3 doubles and one triple room.
All rooms are spacious and have central heating.
They are paved floor and furnished with traditional wooden furniture.
On 2nd floor, one bedroom (with toilets) has got a double bed, a dressing table, a wardrobe and a lovely terrace.
Ground floor, 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, accessible from the outside through a common entrance.
The triple room has got 3 single beds, 3 bedside tables, wardrobe and a shower room.
The twin room has 2 single beds, 2 bedside tables, wardrobe, a small terrace overlooking the pool.
The double has got a double bed, 2 bedside tables, a dressing table, wardrobe and a Tarrant.
Finally, the bathroom has a sink, toilet, bathtub and a washing machine available.
Outside:
The house is fairly intimate, despite its location in the village there are few of opposite. A small garden near all around the house, several small terraces nicely decorated jar, pot flowers, green with an apple tree, palm trees, roses, pomegranates, and finally a beautiful rock swimming pool of 33m ²(from May to October) well equipped with deckchairs and parasols. It is possible to park a car outside the house.
