Year Purchased: 2003
Our family lives in a lovely, rural area of upstate New York. We are surrounded by farms, forests and wildlife, but still manage to see an occasional show on Broadway! As far as we're concerned, it's the best of both worlds. We are self-employed and operate websites. Don is also a professional classical guitarist. Hence, the small image of a guitar at the entrance to Villa Justin.
Why the Owner Chose Gustavia
When my wife was a little girl, she spent several months each year on the island with her Uncle Justin and Aunt Valentine in Gustavia. They lived in a very old, little green Swedish house that can be seen just below the deck of Villa Justin. Yolanda and her uncle would frequently walk to nearby Shell Beach (Anse de Grand Calet) and enjoy the water and wonderful view at sunset. Uncle Justin was never able to realize his dream of building a new home above the old green house, but Yolanda and I were able to do so in 2003. It is appropriately named Villa Justin and it was designed and constructed with the same care and sense of tradition that Justin would have wanted as a talented carpenter. Whenever we visit the island, we go to Shell Beach with our young child to savor the same, timeless view.

Villa Justin is close to Gustavia restaurants, bakeries, shops, the beach, SCUBA...a short walk to all! By "short", we mean 5 minutes! To be so close to everything, yet possess a wonderful view is truly unique to St. Barths.
