Hawk Haven, our Sea Ranch home, has panoramic open-meadow views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and upstairs den, plus partial blue-water ocean views from the living and dining rooms downstairs, and a white-water view from the upstairs den. The meadow is a dedicated open-space preserve. Deer leisurely graze nearby, and foxes, bobcats and birds of prey appear regularly. Though wildlife is often no more than 30 feet from the house, bring binoculars for the best viewing.
The home has abundant natural light with a spacious, south-exposed, wind-sheltered deck for outdoor dining and relaxing, weather permitting. The southwest corner of the deck holds a large, comfortable hot tub. Interior spaces are warm and inviting, with natural Douglas Fir doors and cabinetry. A lushly planted courtyard garden welcomes you to the house and provides privacy. The ocean bluffs are a 4-minute walk (go south 1/2 mile for seal viewing), and the Del Mar Recreation Center is a 3-minute drive or 15 minute walk on a lightly traveled paved road. The Del Mar pool is large and heated and is equipped with separate showers, dressing rooms, and saunas for men and women. In addition there are two top-quality tennis courts (sign up to use them at the pool office).
To keep your nights stress free, all three bedrooms have Sealy Posturepedic mattresses and down comforters. Lightweight cotton blankets are stored in the bedroom closets. For your viewing pleasure, there are 2 satellite TVs, VCRs and DVD players, one set in the upstairs den and a second in the master bedroom. We're also pleased to provide free, easy-to-use, high-speed wireless internet. A CD player with a CD collection for a variety of tastes is in the living room. For your comfort, the house has Central heating plus a Vermont Castings woodstove. Firewood is provided free of charge in an enclosed walk-in woodshed, and kindling is available in Gualala at a nominal cost. Kids are welcome.

Why the Owner Chose Sea Ranch
We have been vacationing at Sea Ranch since the 1970s. We love the rugged beauty and solitude of the north coast. We accustomed our children to coming here with us at an early age. They are now grown and consider their Sea Ranch experiences among the most important in their lives.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy sharing quiet time at our Sea Ranch home with friends and family. We especially love taking long walks from our front door along the 9 miles of ocean bluff trail. During late summer or early fall, viewing the Perseid meteor showers at 2:00 AM from the hot tub is one of those unforgettable experiences that characterize this special place for us.

We have lived in Sonoma County since 1970. We are recently retired after an earlier career as school teachers and then a long career as small business owners. In our retirement we enjoy spending as much time as possible at our Sea Ranch home. The Sea Ranch is a uniquely civilized place for its amenities, yet starkly raw and natural in its open spaces. Our home sits at the edge of a meadow preserve. Just a few steps from the door you're in another world.
