My mother told me many years ago, and often she reinforced it, that if you cannot say something nice don't say it. I am about to say something unkind. During my last sojourn at Diana's apartment, I requested sunshine and Diana, la proprio, did not deliver. There, I have said something unkind and broke my mother's rule. I rented Diana's apartment again for three months during the last winter months. I have stayed now for a total of six months. Even though she did not deliver the sunshine for my last stay, I have already reserved the apartment for another trip. That should say it all. I love the apartment and the location. During my second visit, I noticed small improvements to the apartment to make it more enjoyable. For example, the two balconies were improved so one can sit outside more comfortably. When I arrived I found on the kitchen table a bottle of wine and some fruit. Very nice. In my previous remarks, I noted the close proximity of restaurants and the downtown shopping area. One of my favorite restaurants, as a matter of fact, is very close by--Le Romarin. It is next door to l'Illette, my favorite bakery. Do you like to walk? Turn left at the beach and you will have short walk to the new and old parts of Antibes. Turn to the right and you will have a wonderful scenic walking adventure along the Côte d'Azur. Keep going and you will snake around Cap d'Antibes and arrive at Juan-les-Pins. You don't like to walk? That's OK because you can catch the #14 navette to downtown Antibes at the bus stop at the beach. It is perfectly placed for the residents of the apartment. Cost is one euro. Cheap. The navette runs regularly during the day. Antibes and thus Diana's apartment is wonderfully located if you like to take public transportation, buses and trains. All the trains stop in Antibes, including the TGV. Many many buses come through the center of the city. You can easily catch a train to Cannes and Nice and further to Monaco. I like to visit "villages perchés," which require sometimes both a train and a bus ride. If you are willing to learn the schedules, you will have an adventure, and it will only be a day trip. You can make it back to the apartment and Antibes in time for an evening meal at Le Vauban, mon restaurant préféré in Antibes. Rest assured. If you want to relax and eat nice meals and, most importantly, feel comfortable and safe after a day's outing, you can't go wrong with a stay at Diana's apartment.Owner response: Merci monsieur. Vous etes trop gentille, et cela me fait plesire de vous accueillir l'an apres l'an.

We stayed in the apartment for a week in late October and we could not have been more pleased with our choice. The apartment is clean, spacious and in a wonderful location (right off the beach, walking distance to the old town of Antibes and centrally located for all sites up and down the Riviera). The amenities in the apartment included wireless internet, modern kitchen and two balconies. The layout of the apartment in particular is nice with the balconies on either end providing a breeze and open exposures. Some reviews say the accomodation will house 4 people and be crowded but here the size of the apartment is perfect if you have a group of 4 or luxurious for a group of two. Wonderful choice and can't wait to return.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you, thank you. We strive to provide a true pied-à-terre for our guests, and it's nice to hear that our efforts pay off. Please come back soon,

My wife and I stayed at this lovely apartment for 6 days. I wish we had stayed longer. It was our first time in Antibes and it was the beginning of our 5-week vacation in France. Diane’s apartment made us feel very much at home. It met our expectations or exceeded our expectations. We were surprised with her welcoming basket of fruits and a bottle of wine waiting for us. We have travelled in Europe and have stayed at apartments and never had we had this gesture from the owner. Diane was very professional from the time I contacted her regarding her apartment. She also emailed me to ensure that everything was taken care of before and during our stay. The apartment is all the positive things other reviewers have said in regards to the spaciousness, cleanliness, the décor, the location and surroundings, the proximity to the beach and other attractions, and the amenities (my wife who loves to cook thought that the kitchen was well equipped for a vacation home). If there were 6 stars, I would award them all to this property. We walked everywhere. We walked to Juan Le Pins to Patisserie De La Pinede on Ave. George Gallice near Jardins de la Pinede. The patisserie was recommended by our neighbour at home who is from Nice and everything was so good. We took the bus to Nice, Cannes and Monaco for 1 Euro each way. We love Antibes and will certainly return in the near future and consider to staying longer. After our stay at this wonderful apartment, we were disappointed with the apartments we had rented throughout our trip in France. I guess we were spoiled at the beginning of our trip. I have already recommended this apartment to some of my friends and relatives who are planning on visiting French Riviera in the near future. Thank you, Diane for making our stay in Antibes a delightful experience.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you, thank you. You made my day! Please come back soon.

We spent the month of July here and I must say that this condo was everything Diana, the owner described and much more! It is super clean, very spacious, beautifully furnished and has everything one could need or want for a perfect stay. Whether day or night lovely clean clear ocean and mountain breezes flowed through the apartment from the lovely front and back terrace. And seeing different big beautiful yachts from the front terrace was a sight we looked forward to every morning.. There were so many things to do right there outside the front door -whether day or night..the beautiful beach was just steps away - the pool was beautiful - the shopping at nearby Old town was a pleasant short walk and what beautiful restaurants along the beach in Juan Les Pins And those 1 Euro buses that take you to so many towns along the coast. I could go on and on--but you know what -- just rent this condo and see for yourself.. And of course Many Many Thanks to Diana for sharing her very special home in this very special place!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Our week in Antibes was wonderful, Diana's apartment was lovely, spacious, well equipped, bright and cheerful. Diana was courteous and helpful and always answered questions promptly. The unit was in a great location, quiet and very close to the beach. Within walking distance of the Antibes old town and main shopping area. Great pizzerias located at front of apartment building. The beds were very comfortable, including the sofa bed. Antibes was a good location for day trips to nearby French Riviera villages, Eze, Monaco, Biot, St Paul Vence and Cannes, public transport was reliable and cost 1 euro to catch local bus to many places. We loved our stay in Diana's apartment.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Our first visit to France and our first time using VBRO...a wonderful experience. Diana was kind, knowledgeable and always available to answer questions promptly via email or phone. Making arrangements prior to leaving and while we stayed at the apartment were handled with professionalism and in good faith. We stayed in the apartment for 10 days. It was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Amenities included a well-equipped full kitchen, walk-in shower, flat screen TV, WIFI. Antibes is beautiful and the apartment is situated on a nice quiet street steps from the beach, with two balconies and nice views (the pictures are accurate!). Whether you want to stay in or go out in Antibes or near by Juan Les Pins or take day trips to Nice or Eze, the apartment is perfectly situated for those who want to escape and relax and for those who seek adventure and a night life. I would absolutely recommend this apartment and would definitely go back. Thank you Diana we look forward to the next time!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I am fortunate, blessed one can say, to have stayed for three months in the apartment. What a delightful opportunity! It is a good sign--non ?!--if one wants to return for another adventure. I have already asked to visit again and have reserved the apartment for another stay. The apartment has a lightness and airiness that I loved. It is quiet, far enough away from the main part of Antibes to avoid the noises that come with traffic and people yet close enough to walk each day. Or, for a euro catch Navette 14, which stops on the corner; it will take you to the center of Antibes and the bus station and the train station. I love to cook and so I was very happy to see a kitchen with all the utensils I needed. Clean, well-maintained, comfortable bed, excellent lighting in the evening, utilities, including the internet and TV, all worked well. When you go into the community and seek out some restaurants, I can highly recommend many, but my favorites are Le Vauban (reservations required but worth it), Romarin (near l'Ilette, my favorite boulangerie which one passes on the way to city center), La Marmite, and l'Oursin to name just four. The apartment and Antibes are a wonderful match, an excellent place to vacation.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

I was very pleased that the apartment was spacious, cheerful, clean and comfortable! In addition, it did meet all my expectations because of the great location and convenience to the beach, restaurants, attractions and other great areas in France and Italy! For me, without a car, it was especially helpful to have a shuttle bust just across the street that went to Antibes. I also enjoyed the picturesque walk along the beach to many attractions, especially to the farmers market! Yes, I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking to get a real good flavor of French life! M. WhiteDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Our week in Antibes was the last week of our four-week vacation and we felt we made the right choice in regards to our lodging for that week. All of the information we had been provided up to that point (written and photos) was accurate. Diana was a pleasure to work with and she was available both before and during our stay to make sure everything was taken care of. As others have mentioned it is just a short walk to a very nice sandy beach and it was never over-crowded during our stay. They clean the sand every morning so litter and debris are taken care of. Parking can be a bit of a challenge during the day. But because of the availability of local transportation and being within a 30 minute walk of all of the major sites and the train station you really do not need a car. If you were to drive to another location in Antibes it looked like parking could be challenging. The apartment is very spacious, was nicely furnished, well equipped and was very clean when we arrived. Diana just turned over the local management to the gals next door at the hotel. They were available as planned to let us into the apartment and they were helpful during our stay as well. And Diana was in touch during our stay to make sure everything was OK. As you can see in the pictures there is a pool on the property but we never really saw anyone using it. While it was clean there were no lounge chairs for laying by the pool. We did mention this to Diana and she was going to contact the property managers. It was no big deal for us since we went to the beach and preferred that over the pool. There are several good restaurants nearby along with a bakery and small grocery store. It is an easy walk to the main part of the town with lots of shops and restaurants. Of all of the areas we visited on the French Riviera we felt Antibes was the perfect spot to just sit back and relax. And it is easy to hop on a train or bus to get to the other towns in the area. If we ever go back to Antibes we will probably stay in Diana's apartment if it is available.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We very much enjoyed our week in this apartment primarily due to the great weather and amazing location. We particularly liked the fact that the bus (navette) stopped right in front of our building and would take us everywhere we wanted to go included the train station that took us to Cannes, Monte Carlo and many other wonderful places. The week we stayed was Heritage Week and all buses were free, an added bonus. The apartment was impeccably clean, large, quiet, and all amenities were in great working order. The unit looks exactly like the photographs in the listing and Diana was quick with any inquiries via email. The sandy beach right across the street was also a big plus as we enjoyed spending some time at the beach. One added comment is that our beach at Antibes is the only sandy beach as opposed to all other beaches we saw on the French Riviera that are com;posed of pebbles. One of our trips included an easy bus ride to St. Paul de Vence, a beautiful, small old village that has retained its charm from the 1800s and was a real pleasure to walk the small stone laneways and visit the numerous art shops. Thank you again Diana for the opportunity to stay in your great apartment.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent the week of May 14 - 21 2011 in this apartment in Antibes and absolutely fell in love with the location and apartment. There were three of us which I think is ideal since there is only one bathroom. Diana was very helpful and prompt with her emails. The apartment was very clean and the pictures are very accurate. The kitchen is well stocked and a small grocery store is close by. Her housekeeper does not speak any English which can be a problem but if you contact Diana in advance as far as transportation from the airport, clean up expectations, etc. that is not a problem. You can walk everywhere. The train station is about a 20 minute very pleasant walk from the apartment. No need for a car. We visited Cannes, Eze, Monte Carlo, St Paul de Vence, Nice, and Antibes. We ate lunch wherever we were touring and cooked a nice dinner in the apartment at night. Buses did not run frequently near the apartment and were not running at all on Sundays. Museums are closed on Tuesdays. I would absolutely recommend this apartment and owner to a friend or relative. This was the best vacation I have ever had!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so happy to hear that everything was to your satisfaction. We strive to make this little a true Pied A Terre for our guests. As we mentioned earlier, there will be a discount whenever you decide to visit us again.

This apartment is beautifully situated in Antibes, very close to the beach (50 metres). Antibes is a lovely spot for a riviera vacation, minutes from the Nice airport. The apartment is spacious, nicely decorated and well equipped. The light is fabulous as there are balconies front and back. The apartment is very private as neither balcony is overlooked. Everything you need to cook is provided and there is a big fridge. There are lots of extras: a flat screen TV with cable, a CD player and selection of CD's,WIFI and telephone. Parking on the street was convenient but may be challenging in high season. All in all, a great place to stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Just spent 4 enjoyable weeks in Antibes. Stayed at this apartment, which was well located and very comfortable. The apartment has everything you need for a home away from home holiday. It is in a quiet area close to Cap d' Antibes. The beach is at the end of the road. Walking to the old town or the port of Antibes is a very easy15 mins away. However there is a free bus at the end of the road that goes there every 30mins. This is very convenient after shopping in town. The bus also goes to the railway station from which you can get a train to anywhere along the coast. Good day trips from Antibes are: Cannes, Nice, Monaco, Menton. Grasse. Eze, St. Paul de Vence, and Italy. After a long day of exploring the area it was always very nice to arrive back home at this apartment and have a relaxing glass of wine. The temperature in March was a little up & down but mostly sunshine and nice for walking. The wine & food in France are delicious and there are lot's of places to eat. Everyone is helpful and friendly. All in all a very good pick for our month long escape winter vacation. Diana was very helpful and quick to respond to all our questions regarding this holiday rental.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for your kind review. We are very pleaesed that you enjoyed Antibes and our residence. As token of our appreciation, we would like to extend you a 10% discount for your next stay. Looking forward to hearing from you.
