The Balcony looks over the 18th fairway of Walden Golf Club with a lake view just beyond. In the spring, the azaleas are gorgeous. The condo is fully furnished with great appliances, some antique furniture and decorated with quality art. The kitchen was remodeled in May, 2010 with high end maple cabinets, a built-in hutch and granite countertops. It has a high definition flat screen television. The telephone offers unlimited long distance calling in the US. There is a computer avaiable or you can hook up your laptop to the cable modem to access the internet.

Year Purchased: 2009
Cathy and Don retired to San Antonio in 2004 after living all over the United States. One area we lived in and loved was North Carolina. This area at Lake Conroe reminded us of the beauty of North Carolina with pine trees and azaleas. We purchased the condo as a second home where we could enjoy the quiet and beauty of the golf course community and still take part in the vibrant life in nearby Houston. Cathy is a musician so we love going to the symphony and opera, for example.
Why the Owner Chose Montgomery
The 18th at Walden is in the historical Piney Woods section of Texas. Only an hour away in Houston are great theaters, a symphony, museums, professional sports and the Johnson Space Center. Approximately two hours away by car is Galveston and the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. During the summer, the Houston Symphony performs at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion at the Woodlands, only a half hour away. The nearby area is the home of Texas Independence with numerous festivals throughout the year.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Living at at Walden includes membership in the Walden Yacht Club which has world-class gourmet dining and poolside service and a great Sunday brunch. Walden also has a fine racquet club and marina. Boats may be rented at the marina for your boating and fishing times. Our particular condominiums, the 18th at Walden, has two swimming pools for your use, one of which is restricted to adults only.
