Beautiful, roomy, cozy, well-equipped, and stocked Tahoe cabin conveniently situated within 15 -20 mins to SugarBowl and Truckee. Owner very attentive to guests comfort and care. Cabin alongside I80, but you would not know this inside home---cabin totally soundproof, and cars barely visible through trees. Easy access from freeway exit, and slightly lower elevation (5200 ft) shortens time in car to/from Mountains, and minimizes risk of getting snowed-in. Owner built home himself and used gorgeous pinewood for cathedral ceiling, doors and framing. Breathtaking. "Bear" and cabin decor whimsical and appealing. Absolutely plan to return. Only drawbacks are freeway noise can be heard outside of home, and there is no Internet access but it does have cell phonr reception. Neither were deal-breakers fo us. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations and memories!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Another great stay at Bob's cabin - this time we were two families with 4 adults and 4 children. We had an incredibly comfortable stay and the house handled our crazy crew beautifully. The upstairs loft is a perfect place to "shoo" the children away to. Skied every day we were there and the only negative was a bit of traffic on the way home from Sugarbowl each night. Bob very kindly texted us directions to bypass this slowdown and we then felt like locals. We hope to make it back up there before this ski season closes!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. Everything you can think of needing is there. You don't need to pack spices, condiments, paper towels, toilet paper, towels, linens, blankets. Only thing I would recommend to pack would be slippers during the winter, floor does get cold. Everything was clean and comfortable. Loved the upstairs game room. We were able to leave a board game up for a few days to continue when we wanted. We had 3 adults and 2 older kids. Tons of room for all of us. We'd love to stay again next year. Thank you Kriss and Bob for taking such great care of us. Happy New Year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This cabin is amazing!!! The owner met us there and showed us around,.. He is very friendly and welcoming.....From the moment he opened the front door we were in heaven.....It is the epitome of a deluxe mountain cabin....the amenities are over the top.......Nicer than anyone could expect... It was spotless.....Fully furnished and then some!! There were four of us, friends for 50+ years, dating back to elementary school....we were sorry we had to leave!! We hiked at Yuba Gap a few miles up the road, shopped in Truckee, and stayed in and enjoyed the wonderful ambiance of the cabin....The owner take such good care of the cabin it is hard to tell anyone has ever been there... We hope to be able to return....Thank You for a lovely girl's reunion!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

A beautiful, comfortable home away from home. Immaculate! My husband and I enjoyed a quiet weekend in this wonderful little cottage. Plenty of room for many guests, and stocked with movies, games, etc. The front porch is ideal for sipping your morning coffee and listening to the birds. I highly recommend this lovely home for others to experience. We are looking forward to returning with our two daughters when the snow begins to fall.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My girlfriends and I all live in Roseville, and we wanted a weekend getaway that wasn't too far from home. This cabin was perfect! It's less than an hour drive for us, and the chilly spring weather was just right. The place is beautiful, and owner Bobby is so great. He made us feel right at home, and we had a peaceful weekend doing a whole lot of nothing! The huge porch is my favorite spot to relax. Just what we all needed. We will definitely be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This is my second year in a row staying at this fabulous place! I had privilege of staying at the cabin several times, and I find it to be an absolute gem. The cabin is impeccable, and the interior is cozy and inviting. I have stayed in other places in Tahoe area, and am yet to find such a cozy and spacious cabin as this. I am impressed. The place contains anything you would think of you'd need to spend a care-free vacation, with all of the modern day conveniences neatly stored within the premises. I am hoping I will be lucky to stay there again!! The cabin in stunning and the perfect retreat for a get-away weekend. For us the big screen TV was a huge bonus and it made the 49ers playoff win over the New Orleans Saints that much sweeter! The cabin is beautifully furnished, couches are comfortable and the kitchen is perfect for cooking and entertaining (Karokee was a hit). And to cap it off, the fire place outside, yes outside, was an amazing touch for those who like to enjoy the cool night air.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We ventured up to the cabin with a group in mid-January and had the most fun I think I've had in years. The location of the house is superb. It sits near the highway, for easy on-off access. But it is also close by some fun hiking trails (all levels). The home itself is just amazing. In all ways. The layout, warmth, modern comforts (blended perfectly with cabin character, I'll add) and organization make you at once feel at home and at peace. It's the perfect home for socializing, enjoying time in the kitchen, singing karaoke on the big screen or by a roaring fire outside. If I could pick one house in the area, this would be the one for me.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is an amazing cabin that is fully equipped to meet all of your needs. It is a gorgeous home that has all the amenities. I have stayed here numerous times over the last several years and keep coming back for more. If it's hiking you enjoy then look no further. There are hiking trails within minutes that offer spectacular views of the north fork of the American River and an exquisite waterfall. Access to local ski resorts are also nearby. I highly recommend this cabin for families and friends. The fully appointed kitchen is a wonderful place to prepare a meal and share quality time with guests. Enjoy movies or games next to a warm fire inside or listen to music next to the outdoor fireplace. It's an easy drive up I-80 and before you know it you're a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you feel the need to escape for a weekend or a nice long vacation, this cabin is the perfect destination any time of year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My family and I loved our stay in this cabin. It was well stocked with everything we needed and was immaculate when we arrived. The location is private and great: 20 minutes to Sugarbowl and 45 minutes to Northstar, 30 or so to Truckee. Despite it's proximity to Hwy 80, the cabin is quiet and peaceful inside and the living room windows had a lovely view of a snowy meadow. Our kids loved playing in the loft area and we found this to be a perfect place for our ski getaway.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Features all the comforts of home and more. Full amenities. Not a typical vacation rental. This was pure luxury and such a lovely place for a retreat. We enjoyed preparing meals in the fully appointed kitchen and gathered a large group of people comfortably. Amazing audio/video system with surround sound and exterior speakers are great for entertaining. As is the deep soak tub in the master bath. I highly recommend this cabin. We are now referring to it as Lounge on 80! I have stayed there in the fall and was able to take some quads off road to explore the north fork. I have stayed there during the snow season and there was plenty in which to play. You can bet I will return. My fiance and I went up 1 day prior to our kids joining us and we couldn't of asked for a more relaxful, romantic, and fun place. The location is perfect easy to get to and the snow was amazing. There was so much snow my boys and their dad had made their own track on the property and were out sledding all night long. The place is gorgeous exactly like the photos showed and even better! Its beautiful inside and out! We have been there 3 times now and will continue to go. My boys look forward to it and so do we! The cabin was spotless and stocked just as stated! The owner was more than helpful and is always there is need anything! I definitely would recommend this cabin to anyone and everyone. There is so much to do and the meadow across the street was a blast to sled and play in the snow as well. We have been both in the sping and winter and had an amazing time both times of the year. My husband and I, and our two teenage boys stayed at Bob's beautiful cabin for four days over Winter break. Bob was there to greet us and gave us a very thorough run down on how the cabin was laid out and set up. Which was exceptional by the way... The cabin is only a couple of years old and beautifully appointed. There is attention to detail in every room. Bedrooms all have comfortable roomy beds and plenty of room for stowing clothing and gear. The master bedroom has a huge wall mounted hdtv and a gorgeous walk in master bathroom. One of my sons spent a lot of time in the upstairs game room, playing with a vintage slot machine game. One can also watch tv up there, or read comfortably on the couch. Back downstairs are the very comfortable living room with yet another huge hdtv, the dining area, and the kitchen which has everything we needed to cook most of our meals in. All of the rooms in the cabin were very clean and beautifully decorated. We can't say enough good things about this property - we loved the cabin so much we want to return in the summer to see what the area looks like sans snow.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This place is great. A quiet place in the mountains away from the city life but not far from ski resorts or the Lake Tahoe area. My family and I stayed at this location as it looked beautiful in the pictures and the owner was very friendly. Also, we only wanted to go to Sugar Bowl so this was a great location for our needs. The interior is nicely decorated and very comfortable furnished. There is a large kitchen, large TV(great for the Wii), huge couch, and the deck outside is great. This place is a great place to get away for a beautiful winter vacation. I'm sure it is just as nice during the summer too. I highly recommend this property to anyone on a skiing trip or looking for a place to get away and relax. Also, there is a great dinner just down the street, the rustic table... look it up on Yelp! The owner is the best part about this place. Very friendly and walks you through everything and makes sure you are going to have a great time at his place. He even left us a nice bottle of wine which was a nice way to kick things off. This mountain cabin is newly built, well appointed, immaculate, cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is a dream to cook in and open to the living areas. The owner is very friendly and anxious to please. The location is perfect for enjoying skiing at Sugar Bowl. We passed a very pleasant 5 day ski holiday here with another couple. It would also be ideal for families with kids.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I celebrated my 40th birthday with 3 girlfriends at Bob's cabin for a ski weekend. The cabin is clean and beautifully furnished. It is a great spot to relax in the quiet or celebrate with friends. This location is easily accessible and conveniently located within minutes to cross-country and down hille ski resorts. We also took a couple of short, scenic walks in the snow just outside the cabin. Kitchen and bathrooms have all the necessary amenities and Bob is very kind and welcoming. We had such a great time, I am already planning my next trip up there form my family to enjoy the cabin!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the excellent review for my cabin. I look forward to seeing you again and meeting your family on your next visit. Thanks Bob

I love, love, love this cabin! I rented it out once in July and then again this past February. It is so green and beautiful in the Summer! There is a swimming lake 5 minutes away and lots of places to go hiking and site seeing. In February, we made snow-men and went skiing and snowboarding at Boreal which was an easy 20 minute drive away. The house itself is gorgeous and has a very welcoming cabin feel. I will definately be going up there again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our group of friends had a wonderful time staying at this beautifully crafted cabin for a long weekend in January. It is very charming, clean, and well-kept. It is one of the nicest cabins I have ever stayed in. Great space to accommodate our large group while we ate, lounged, played games, watched movies, slept, etc. We really enjoyed ourselves while staying here and look forward to coming back soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I recently stayed at this beautiful home for the weekend. The cabin/ home is remarkably beautiful inside and out. The decorations are awesome and the craftmanship of the home is breath- taking. We felt so warm and right at home. It is located in the perfect spot, so easy to get to. Far enough away from the city but so close to the ski resorts. I have already booked another weekend and can not wait. Thank you for allowing us to stay.Owner response: Thank you very much for the great review

This cabin is a dream (and so are the owners). My husband & I stayed there with two other couples and it was a perfect weekend getaway. We had a great time riding ATV's and hiking. Cooking dinner in the well-equipped kitchen was very fun, followed by cozying up on the extremely comfortable couch to watch movies on the plasma tv, which is on an articulating mount. Retiring for the evening was a treat as well because the bedrooms are so well decorated. Can't say enough good things about it, just hope to be able to return again soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi Guys. We look forward to seeing you guys again soon at the cabin. We had a great time! Thanks for the wonderful review. Kriss & Bobby
