Dan makes this place worth renting!

We would not have even ventured into Puerto Penasco for the winter if it weren't for Dan, the manager, who was so helpful before we even arrived! We had never driven into Mexico and we were nervous because of all the media hype, but Dan told us what route to take and what to expect along the way. We are so glad we did! Puerto Penasco is a safe, friendly town that has been hit hard by the US economy and bad press about Mexico. We spent three months renting a luxury house from Dan and his wife Christine, and we really enjoyed having them as neighbours, as well as all the local advice and tips they share about Rocky Point. If we needed something, like a turkey baster, or oregano, Dan would provide it in a flash! They helped us immensely during our time here, from picking up our mail in Lukeville to getting us extra sheets when we had company visiting. Outside the usual holidays, the beaches are quiet (we would go to the beach daily but not see anyone else for days, so miles of white sandy beach to yourselves with just dolphins going past every day!). Our two large dogs were welcomed by Dan and Christine too, they even took them out for walks when we went to Phoenix for the day! The house has everything you need, and if you're missing something, you just mention it to Dan and it appears on your doorstep - what a great host, wish you lived next door to us in Canada (we will miss watching the sun set from the rooftop). You're not going to find a better deal on a luxury house rental in Puerto Penasco, and we plan to visit next winter! Thank you both so much for the outstanding hospitality!

Perfect Birthday Getaway

This was a trip to celebrate our daughters' birthdays, one turning 20 and the other turning 1. Our older daughter lives in Boston and does not get to spend time with her little sister that much so this was a very special trip for all of us. The home felt spotlessly clean and was very spacious. This trip, however, was made fantastic by Dan and his wife. Talk about Hospitality! My husband and I work in the hospitality industry and have high standards and Dan blew us away. He was very attentive and caring and ensured that we had everything we needed to be comfortable. He even found us on the beach to bring us beach chairs. Highly recommend getting a property managed by Dan to anybody going to the area. Thank you Dan for your hospitality :)

Good News! Dan is back as Property Manager and the $75.00 P/N Special Rate is Too!! It's great to see that all is worked out and know that Dan will be there. With the Summer Special $75.00 per night rate back too we'll be heading down again next weekend. Water's warm and Margarita's are waiting... See You Soon.

As of today the special $75 P/N Rate has gone away as has Dan, The Property Manager. Sometimes it seems ... All good things do come to an end. As you browse the reviews you'll uinderstand. I do hope that all goes well for the new manager. Good Luck!!

We have been travelling to Rocky Point for 20 years and have stayed in many different houses. Since finding Dan's rentals, we will not stay anyplace else. Dan is the best host we have stayed with in any VRBO rental anywhere, and the four houses he manages are lovely and spacious, with many amenities that are not typical in Rocky Point, including Direct TV, wi-fi, efficient air conditioning, and bottled drinking water. We love the layout of the houses: 2 BRs and 2 BAs are downstairs, with the open living, dining, and kitchen area, a balcony, and large BR and 1.5 BAs on the 2nd floor. The roof is a huge margarita deck with 360-degree views of ocean, city lights, and mountains. The houses are an easy stroll to the lovely, uncrowded beach. You won't be bothered by racing quads or fireworks here. The neighborhood is home to nesting sea eagles in summer, and we have seen dolphins each time we've visited. The Estuary de Morua is easily accessible, and is a wonderful place to snorkel, kayak, and watch birds. A short drive down the road brings you to the CET-MAR aquarium, small but interesting and with a terrific collection of huge sea turtles that you can feed. Both the old port and the newer parts of Rocky Point are a ten-minute drive from the houses, and offer shopping and restaurants. Dan is amazing. He knows the area well and will provide information and directions to anyplace you want to go. He is always cheerful and friendly. He can fix seemingly anything, and has everything you need on hand--if you are short a beach umbrella or chair, just ask. On our most recent visit--last week--Dan drove with us to the Estuary to show us the nearest access, and fixed my kayak paddle--the two halves had gotten stuck together with sand. Not only did he get it apart, but he oiled it and repainted the parts of the shaft that had gotten scratched! He really is one of the nicest, most generous people I've ever met. It makes all the difference to have such a wonderful manager on site. We always feel safe and well cared for when we stay with Dan.

Wow!!!! We had the best experience yet! The house was beautiful. We had a large group and the sleeping arrangements were perfect. Dan was Awesome! The nicest most helpful person I've met. He went out of his way to make sure everything went well! I highly reccomend these homes to almost anyone!!

Just got back from Rocky Point and would highly recommend this property. The house was just great, it was clean,comfortable and had all the amenites anybody could ask for.It was picture perfect, just as described. Dan, the property manager made our stay, he was helpful,accomodating and made us feel really welcome.I would recommend this property to all my friends and family,I have stayed at quite a few homes in Rocky Point but this was my best experience and will definatly be back--See you in May Dan.

The house was easy to find. The house was just like in the picture, everything worked. We had no problems. Dan Rogers the property manager was a great help, from the moment we spoke over the phone till we left. He made our stay the best. I will definitley recommend this property to friends and family. Water was warm, the beach was quiet and relaxing.

This was my wife and I's first trip to Rocky Point, and we won't be staying anywhere else in the future. The house was perfect. It was beautiful and only a short stroll from the beach. It had everything we needed and more. DirecTV, wireless internet, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen (we cooked several meals at home), etc. It was a fantastic weekend at the beach. The only hiccup came when we were packing to leave and found our car battery was dead. Dan and Jimmy went out of their way to help us. Not only did they drive us to the auto parts store (and translate for us!) to get us a new battery, they also hooked us up with a friend of theirs that was traveling back to PHX that day so they could follow us back in case we had any other problems. I think we'd still be stuck in Mexico without their help. I couldn't recommend them and their property any higher. Thank you for your help. We'll be staying there again the next time we visit Rocky Point.
