A Great Place for Everyone
A Great Place for Everyone
We stayed here for 9 nights and were travelling from New Zealand and wanted to stay somewhere near Petco Park, as we are avid SD Padre fans and were going to 6 games during our stay. Petco Park was a short walk down the road, so it was ideal. The apartment was nothing short of sensational from our point of view. Accompanying us were our 2 children, ages 14 and 11. The bunk beds in the second bedroom were ideal and the kids had their own bathroom and we had ours. After the long travel my wife and the kids slept in and I was able to either sit in the lounge or go to the gym prior to them waking up. The apartment had everything, so we were able to cook our meals if we wanted to, or go for a short walk into the Gaslamp District of downtown SD which had numerous options for dining. Everything is provided for so we didn't have to bring anything except for some food. If we needed something the CVS store downstairs had it. Ralphs is also a short walk away. The views are great and the balcony was nice to sit out on and have a chat and wine(s) whilst the kids watched TV or went down to the pool on the 2nd floor, where where's also a spa pool (hot tub?). Everything is modern and clean and the people in the apartment building were friendly and we didn't have any issues with noise. Being downtown there is a bit of noise but you just closed the doors and all was fine. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone and everyone, it is great and Jason was really helpful in making sure we were all OK upon our arrival. We were a bit nervous booking this from New Zealand and didn't really know what to expect, but our expectations were more than met and everything went smoothly. Internet was provided and we had no issues with it, which was important to keeping in touch with home (no additional cost for internet!) San Diego is a great city and everything is relatively close by. We did have a car for a while and the apartment car park provided secure parking, which we would have had to pay additional money for if we had chosen to stay at a hotel. Value for money the apartment won hands down! We will definately stay here again, if we can get in!

Loved the unit
Loved the unit
My husband and I spent 8 nights in this unit while he attended a conference. We were delighted that the pictures of the unit had not exaggerated the amenities. The balcony was configured so it was slightly inset into the building so you don't have the feeling you're just hanging off a wall. We enjoyed having lunches out there as well as hanging out with friends before going out to dinner. We loved the view from all the floor to ceiling windows. You can actually see the bay in the distance and into Petco Park in the other direction. In fact we actually saw them testing the stadium lights one evening about a week before baseball season. My husband's walk to the convention center was about 10 minutes. It was about four blocks to Ralphs, a big grocery store. Across the street was a wonderful florist, and I purchased some gorgeous flowers for the unit. We were within walking distance of the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, the trolley to Old Town and various places it goes, and the ferry to Coronado. We also found the bus to take us to the San Diego Zoo. We thoroughly enjoyed being urban dwellers and not needing a car. The only negatives were a few small things. The bed is a low platform bed, and not everyone would be comfortable with that. The dining table, on the other hand, is high. There was no bath soap. We also immediately ran out of dishwasher soap and had to purchase it. It didn't seem that there was a plan in place to deal with things like that. Luckily there's a CVS drugstore on the first floor, so easy to replace these things. And for people who have never lived in a city, it's noisy. But those were small things and overall we would highly recommend renting this unit. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would rent it again if we were ever in San Diego for an extended period.
