Why the Owner Chose Great Cruz Bay
We chose St John because of its gorgeous, world acclaimed beaches and its seclusion. It is 2/3 national park which is protected and cannot be developed, so the island will never be overpopulated. The locals are very friendly and welcoming. The island offers wonderful, upscale restaurants as well as cozy, casual eateries. We love to go sailing, snorkeling and just relax on the beach, enjoying spectacular views. Everywhere you go on this island, you will be astounded at the breathtaking vistas, it is truly paradise!

We furnished the house for us, making it a home away from home. It is a very comfortable, yet elegant home. It is not furnished as a rental, it has top of the line, tasteful and beautiful furniture and accents. The linens are top quality, the dishes and glassware are beautiful, even the beachtowels are extra large and soft. Come see for yourself!

We live in Manhattan Beach, CA. We have 4 grown children and 1 grandson, hoping for a few more grandchildren in the future! Skip is CEO/Chairman of a magazine publishing company and also produces consumer shows. He has offices all over the country so travels a lot. Paula joins him when she can. When it's time to relax, we head to the beautiful island of St John. We love it and are sure you will too. See you there!

Our stay at Villa Adagio was everything we expected and more. The property was every bit as beautiful as the on-line photos and description. We were greeted by an employee of Catered Too right at the car barge and immediately escorted to the villa. It was very clean and supplied with everything we needed to have a comfortable and enjoyable vacation. The air conditioning in my daughters room was not working properly and all we needed to do was make a call and it was repaired the very next day. The accommodations were inviting and it was so nice to call it home for our week in St. John. We would recommend the villa for anyone wanting to stay in a private home on the island. We had a great time at Woody's and a delicious dinner at the Fish Trap. We would also recommend Uncle Joe's barbeque. For a great sandwich, stop in at Sam and Jacks deli. If you travel to Coral Bay try Skinny Legs for a burger or Miss Lucy's for a Reuben sandwich made with grouper. Gibney Beach is also a must, it's a beautiful beach but get there early for a parking spot. We are hoping to come to the wonderful island of St. John again next summer.

Everything about this place is amazing -- it is truly one of a kind. The views are absolutely stunning, hard not to love watching the sun go down while relaxing in the jacuzzi. I have amazing memories of my trip here and hope to have the chance to go back again one day!

I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's amazing. Every room has a spectacular view of the bay. Every nook has an overstuffed chair more comfortable than the last. The bedrooms are beautiful and spacious, the main room---well, it has a pool in it, enough said---and the deck, which runs the entire length of the house, is lined with plush lounge chairs and an outdoor hot tub to boot. When we arrived, the place was so clean it looked like it was brand new. (The only evidence that anyone had stayed there before was the guest book full of gushing reviews.) The owners were accommodating and helpful, and the local maintenance people were remarkably responsive. All in all, a fantastic property and a dream vacation.

We went to St. John for the first time last year and absolutely loved it! We were so in awe of the natural beauty of the island AND of lovely Villa Adagio! Your home is stunning and was a perfect location for our get away. We enjoyed a few dinners that we prepared ourselves in the beautifully appointed kitchen....Villa Adagio was perfect for entertaining! We loved the pool in the living room and the spectacular views of the bay! Thank you for such a memorable vacation, we can't wait to come back!

I have stayed at Villa Adagio three times now - and can't wait to go back. The house is so perfect for vacation. A great kitchen for cooking and the house is set up for entertaining. The house is beautifully decorated (the photos barely do it justice!) - and each bedroom is like its own mini-suite. It set up on a hill and so quiet at night and the view of the bay from the gorgeous deck is second to none. I highly recommend this property!!

This must have been the best vacation ever! The house is beautiful and welcoming. The view from the deck is absolutely breathtaking. The garden is so peaceful and quiet and the outdoor showers are wonderful! And of course, the pool in the living room - you've got to love it! The house has everything you could possibly want and is very well kept. I also appreciate the information available that tells you where to go and what to do. Can't wait to go back and visit St. John again and of course, staying in this beautiful house!
