Experience a sunrise over breathtakingly beautiful Grandfather Mountain from inside the A-frame house or on the roomy deck. At 4300 ft, it is amazingly quiet, and the water is incredibly pure and cold. Large rooms and the arrangement of the house gives it an open feel. A loft (which might accommodate young people in sleeping bags) overlooks the great room below. Three twin beds, one double bed and one queen bed can sleep a total of 7 people; the queen-sized sofa bed downstairs sleeps two more.
There is so much to do in the mountains. Grandfather Mountain has a nature preserve, zoo, hiking trails and a mile-high swinging bridge. Walk the mountain roads in the area for a different view of the world. Close by is a new Zip-Line for an adventure in the snow. Old fashioned hardware and mercantile stores, outlet shopping and ski apparel stores offer a large variety of shopping. Tweetsie Railroad is a summer Wild-West Theme Park for kids of all ages. Nearby is gem mining, and also Linville Falls and Linville Caverns.

Why the Owner Chose Seven Devils
The house belonged to my parents who built it and took care of it lovingly. I have restored it to some of the elegance it once had, and deserves. The decision to make it into a rental came about because we felt others would enjoy it as much as we have.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Some of the benefits include: The quiet (no noise except owls and other wildlife), the deliciously pure water, the incredible view of Grandfather Mountain, mountain walks, and the fun things to do nearby.
Old Fashioned Hardware Store. Toys, high quality shoes, enamel ware, rocking chairs, clothes, interesting and unusual items. A fun experience.

Our family lived and vacationed in this home, and we dearly love the Appalachian mountains of Western North Carolina. Beautiful plantings in the spring and summer come up in multicolor displays. The large rooms in this house added to its open layout make it a very livable house, suitable for many people. This house is cherished as a mountain-top of quiet in a chaotic world. We enjoy celebrations as a family, and we are sure you will too.
