This home is situated in a naturally wooded gated community called "The Hammocks". This rural subdivision is only minutes to Edisto Beach. You can ride your bike or drive to the beach approx. 1.5 miles away. You will enjoy the best of both worlds by having the solace of the creek with crabbing, shrimping and fishing and then riding the ocean waves at the beach. You can view beautiful sights of the Atlantic from the back deck.
For boaters, this home allows you to dock your boat on your own private dock. The home is spacious and inviting offering the perfect setting for family reunions, holidays or getaway. With five bedrooms and three and one half baths, the crowd will be comfortable. The sitting area offers a pull out sofa that provides extra sleeping space for guests or children.
For boating enthusiasts keep in mind the creek is convenient but has some limitations with access through Jeremy Inlet depending on the size of your boat. Even though the dock has 6'-8' of water at low tide, you will be limited to the type and size of boat due to Jeremy Inlet restrictions. If you are not familiar with the area, please let us know and we can assist you in recommendations.
Linens are not included, but can be added for an additional fee. Departure cleaning is included at no additional charge for all stays over 3 nights. The home is pet friendly for an additional charge.

My wife and I purchased this home as a second home getaway in plans for our eventual retirement. Until we reach that stage, we invite everyone to enjoy the beach of the nature that surrounds this home and the comforts this home provides. Be our guest!
Why the Owner Chose Edisto Beach
This home and location is the best of both worlds. Nestled in a gated community only minutes to Edisto Beach by a drive or a bike ride and situated on a creek with private deep water dock.* Our family enjoys fishing and crabbing right from the dock or taking our boat up the creek for a leisurely boat ride. This is the perfect spot for if you enjoy kayaking. Keep you kayak at the dock and hop in for an enjoyable day! In the evenings we enjoy the changing views of the marsh and grilling out for dinner. This home provides the relaxation and solace we enjoy. *Some limitations for boat access. Please ask for clarification.
The Unique Benefits of this House
You can catch crabs, shrimp or fish right from the dock! Park your boat at the dock and take a ride to Botany Beach or go fishing in the creeks. You don't need to go far to enjoy the abundance of the area. The beach is a short distance away by bike or car. There you have local shopping, restaurants or a leisurely walk finding shells. You can visit several locations during your stay such as the Edisto Island Serpentarium, Botany Island, or take a fishing charter.

A lovely home in need of a little TLC. The wonderful dock was the most outstanding feature. The pictures did not accurately reflect the bedrooms, the twin bedroom was cramped with bunk beds. Other bedrooms minus bedside lamps. The big letdown was the unclean condition of the home, EVERYTHING was covered with pet hair. It was necessary to vacuum furniture and floors and wash all bedding before we could begin to enjoy our stay. Since there is a fee for pet friendly rentals, we expected that to cover cost of cleaning after former renters. We left the home much cleaner than we found it.
