Location: Waterville Valley, White Mountains, New Hampshire, USA (Waterville is Two Hours North of Boston. MA)
Accommodations: House, 4 Bedrooms + Loft, 4 Baths (Sleeps 8-12)
Waterville Valley, NH, is a four-season resort, in a valley surrounded by mountains. The alpine ski area has hosted world cap races, national snowboarding and free style events. It is an ideal family ski area, with lessons in all disciplines, for all ages. It has a day-care facility, as well. The XC skiing center is equally impressive. The Tennis Center is rated among the best 25 in the world.
Waterville supports a network of hiking trails and mountain bike trails (high bike trails are accessible by a chair lift). Renters must pay a guest fee, but receive access to the Athletic Club (pool, weight room, spa, tennis, etc) and to the Ice Arena. The nine-hole golf course and the sixteen clay tennis courts are open to the public. The house itself has a netted tennis practice area, with ball machine (also good for baseball batting practice).
The house is walking distance from tennis, golf, and all Village activities. It is a mile and a half from the Alpine Ski Area (use own vehicle or public shuttle).

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1990
My wife Birdie and I are retired school teachers. Right now, we are 72 years old. We are very active participants in many sports (each is a former age-group National Champion in ski racing and in windsurfing. We are regular participants in tennis and golf events. Birdie is a well-known artist, having shown her work in Puerto Rico, the Canary Islands, and in various venues in USA. Some of her work, as well as that of her mother and daughter, hangs in the Waterville house. I, David, am a Mr Fix-it type, whose dubious artistic talent is on display on our Waterville property in the form of two chainsaw sculptures. In addition to Waterville, we own a property on the Merrimack River in Newburyport, MA and one on Vieques Island, Puerto Rico). We are the editors of the Waterville Valley newspaper.
