Year Purchased: 2008
We live in Stow, Maine approximately 8 miles (as the crow flies) from our rental property. We have three kids, two in college. We are avid skiers and have lived in the Mount Washington Valley for over 20 years.
Why the Owner Chose Jackson
This will be our retirement home once all the kids have left the nest. We were married in Jackson and always wanted to move here. The cabin is in a perfect location, only 2 miles from Black Mountain, 8 miles from Wildcat, 5 miles to Attitash and a mile to the village.

The property is perfectly located in a quaint New England village, with covered bridges, beautiful mountain views, great restaurants, only minutes to world-class x-country skiing and some of the best downhill skiing in the east. For the kids, Storyland is only 5 minutes away. The village of Jackson has many amenities which include two golf courses, ice skating, fishing and hiking trails. North Conway with its famous outlet shopping is only 15 minutes down the road.

Can't say enough wonderful things about this cabin and it's owner! So quaint and cozy! We went up for a long weekend of skiing and the cabin was the perfect place to return to after a long day! Our children (ages 7 & 3) loved it and can't wait to go back! We will certainly be back next time we're up this way! Great location!

The pictures of this cabin on the rental site are nice, but when we arrived we found that in real it is even better. Extremely well equipped, amazing decoration, in one word everything you need for a perfect week-end and I hope for longer vacation! The rooms are big and very comfortable. After a good day of cross country ski (the trails in Jackson are very picturesque) the hut tube was so relaxing… Our son and his girlfriend from France,students in Boston, found also everything perfect We hope to be back in summer!

When I arrived at this beautiful cabin nestled in the woods it was exactly as I had imagined. It was cozy and so romantic inside with everything you could ever need. It was a perfect weekend getaway!! The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and it felt like a home away from home.......Of course, my favorite part was the hot tub on the front porch which was a perfect way to end a long day. The owners Becky and her husband made us feel completely at ease and even provided entertainment at a local Pub. I can't wait to go back again.

We spent Christmas week with our three young boys at the cabin. The cabin was clean, comfortable, cozy and full of charm. We cant say enough good things about our stay. The location is great and this little cabin had a rustic feel, though it had everything you could need right at your fingertips. The owners are readily available and had the house warmed up for us prior to our arrival. Shopping is nearby as well as skiing, hiking, and skating. I would recommend this house to family and friends in a heartbeat! Looking forward to another stay next winter!

We stayed for a week with our two boys (ages 13 and 19) last June. This was the perfect cabin. We hiked and rock climbed the whole week and found the location to be central to our activities. Lots of space for four people so we were not crowded. The owners were very nice and made sure we were well taken care of. This was our first trip to the White Mountains as a family and this cabin made it memorable.

We had a great weekend at this cabin. It is truly a log cabin, but with all of the modern amenities. Waking up in the morning to freshly fallen snow and a fire in the bedroom gas fireplace can't be beat. Great place for a week or weekend escape. The owners were very attentive to our needs and we really appreciated how many items were provided (linens, towels, dish soap, hand soap, etc.) We didn't need a thing!

We just returned from the new-years weekend stay at the log cabin in Jackson. We had a great time at the very comfortable home. The home has all the amenities you need. We had a great Christmas vacation in Jackson. The cabin absolutely wonderful, it was cozy and romantic. The innkeepers (Becky and Dave) were a joy to deal with.
