    • This could be a long one considering all the great things the house/area has to offer. Our stay at Upper Pines Lodge was perfect! Plenty of room inside and out with an awesome deck view of the surrounding VT mtn. The 2nd best part of the house (besides the master bed) is the kitchen. Our group consisted of tri-athletes, some pro, some amateur, both with big appetites! Having a big kitchen to cook our BIG meals was great! When not racing, eating is the next best thing and with only a 1min drive down to Flatbread pizza, I was in love, by far the best way to enjoy pizza outside. You can enjoy the beautiful summer VT evenings with a group of friends or family. Love the fact that most of what you eat on the pizza was grown a stones throw away. If race venue remains at sugarbush for next year or a ski trip planned it's a no brainer to where we will stay, upper pines all the way!

    • This was our fifth visit to Upper Pines Lodge and we still got excited as we pulled into the driveway and got a look at our gorgeous home for the week! This visit we had a group of four adults and six children. Space is never an issue as we buckle up our boots in the morning or prepare a dinner after a day of skiing. There is plenty of room for the kids to have their own space as well. The kitchen is top notch and the carpentry is amazing throughout the house. We look forward to our trip each year and hope to continue the tradition. The owners are great to work with and keep their home very clean. After a long day of skiing, Upper Pines Lodge is the perfect place to come home to!

    • We had a wonderful family reunion at Upper Pines Lodge. The chalet is very cozy, immaculately clean and pulls no punches in terms of luxurious amenities. The daily wildlife right outside our windows was an endless source of enjoyment. The surroundings are extremely quiet on this dead-end dirt road. Warren is very centrally located to easily access several ski resorts (Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Stowe, Smuggler’s Notch, Bolton Valley, etc.) and Vermont’s two largest cities (Burlington and Montpelier.) We highly recommend this rental.

    • Each year a group of us from college rent a house in Vermont for a long weekend with our families. We had a group of 7 adults this year and found this home on the web. The house was amazing, beautifully designed and built. The large steam shower was perfect after an all day hike. We cooked all weekend in the gourmet kitchen, and spend the evenings in the living room with a roaring fire. The house is filled with beautiful antiques and quilts, however was completely kid friendly, accommodating the 3 children under the age of 4 that were with us. We are hoping to come again next year and beyond.

    • This was our first visit to Warren/Sugarbush in the summer months (7/25-7/27) and we had a wonderful time. Upper Pines Lodge is an amazing property and the house and architecture are incrediable. While this house has all the bells and whistles, it is well equipted with everything necessary to make it feel like home for a few days. Every room was cleaned, immaculate and welcoming. The house is situated at the end of a road with a beautiful view of the mountians. You feel a million miles away. We spent the days exploring the area and at night we drank wine and played scrabble, it was a perfect get away. Thank you Jack for opening up your home to us.

    • This was our first visit to Warren/Sugarbush (02/26/08-3/04/08) and we really enjoyed it. Upper Pines Lodge truly is an architectural masterpiece, beautifully decorated and has everything you need. When we arrived, the place was immaculate and very welcoming. It was nice to be as secluded as we were, yet close enough to town, skiing and other activities. Although located minutes away from great restaurants, we opted to stay at the lodge most of the evenings and enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen that is brilliantly designed and well equipped. Kids loved the entertainment/family room while others enjoyed board games and wine by the fireplace in the living room. Jack is great to work with and we look forward to visiting again.

    • This was our second visit to this wonderful country estate property in as many years, for what was once again a fabulous experience. Our party of two families included 4 adults and 5 children. Space was never an issue, whether it was prepping meals/snacks in the gourmet kitchen, louning about in the Media and family rooms or getting ready in the morning. The end-of-cul-de-sac siting eases the mind with the kids playing outside in the snow. Fixtures and appliances are all top shelf, many unique. The owners are very well-organized, accommodating and fair. Even though we had much less fresh snow during this year's visit, it was always really nice to know we had such a wonderful spot to retire to at the end of the day. A true showpiece of a property that indulges you at every turn. We're already planning our next couple of visits.

    • We had a wonderful Christmas at Upper Pines Lodge. The house is beautiful and a lovely place to come home to after a day of skiing, especially because the living space is ideal for cooking with friends, enjoying dinners together, and playing trivial pursuit in front of the fire place.
