This stand alone cottage is located at 430 Sea Lavender Court in the Oceanwoods community of Kiawah Island. It is located on a quiet street at the end of a cul-de-sac within 150 yards or a 3 minute walk to the beach. You will hear the ocean waves while sitting in the screened-in porch or on the outdoor deck. You will also enjoy the tranquil view of the lagoon located at the rear of the property.
Oceanwoods is the best location on Kiawah without being directly on the beach and is very centrally located to many things. The cottage has been recently updated with new furniture, art, accessories and hvac system. There are 3 bedrooms, two with king size beds and one with a bunk bed with a double size bed on the bottom.
It has a fireplace, 4 tv's (one in each bedroom), including a 42" TV with dvd player in the living area, a new cd stereo system with ipod/mp3 hookup, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, microwave, outdoor shower and much more.
The Straw Market in West Beach Village (restaurant, exercise facility, shops), Cougar Point Golf Course, the General Store, and tennis are all within biking distance on easily accessed paved biking trails. Night Heron Park, including the Nature Center, is also within walking/biking distance. Freshfields Village has a grocery store, several wonderful restaurants, specialty shopping, medical services and community events such as concerts, farmers market, and movies is located within a 7 minute drive of Oceanwoods.

We love biking both on the paths and Oceanside - there are so many wonderful things to see and do! We've enjoyed playing at Night Heron Park, watching the Senior PGA at the Ocean Course, having professional photos taken on the beach, and soaking up the beautiful scenery!

We live in Baltimore, MD - not close enough to visit Kiawah as often as we would like! We realized our dream several years ago of owning a place on Kiawah and hope to retire there someday. We absolutely love it!

The description of the property was accurate. Although the Oceanwoods properties are some of the older properties on the island, this property was clean and well decorated. The beds and den furniture were very comfortable. The proximity to the ocean and the WONDERFUL lagoon view made our time very enjoyable. We were able to see a family of deer in the back yard when we arrived (female, male and baby). Later we saw the same family trotting down the bike trail a few feet in front of us. I would recommend this property to a friend or realtive. Thank you.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.
