Amazing Cabin for a weekend retreat!
Amazing Cabin for a weekend retreat!

I stayed in this cabin during a rainy weekend in March and had an amazing time. There were 10 guests total and we all slept comfortably in the beds provided. Although the weather outside was not the best, we had a great time keeping warm inside and in the hot tub. There were gorgeous views of Greer's Ferry lake from the split level deck and plenty of birds and wildlife to entertain. We cooked dinner both nights and there was more than enough pots/pans/plates, etc.. for everything. For all the amenities and the unbeatable price, I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to getaway for a relaxing, peaceful weekend.Did you find this review helpful? We had an excellent experience! Even though it rained a little ( more like stormed) ...the place was charming and was fun to stay in! We had plenty of room for us to all pitch in to cook dinner and dine together till the storm passed over! Both the patios were awesome to sit out on and you can hear the water crashing into the shelf and excellent view of the stars and moon! Not to mention the hot was perfect to relax in just before a good nights sleep! Mike, the owner, was easy to reach and answer any questions! When he says everything you need is there....he means it! I would definitely love to go back! Thanks for opening your home to us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had to make last minute lodging changes to our vacation plans and the owner Mike made it so easy. Once we arrived I was completely taken with the rustic treehouse feel of the cabin. It was equipped with everything we needed (except food)! I was a little worried that it might be a little to rustic for my children but they loved it too! The lake is beautiful and there was always something to do. We were able to leave our boat on the lake just below the cabin which made early morning getaways so easy. The marina across the lake was handy and just a little further down the lake was the ultimate cliff jumping for the kids. We spent the morning and every evening watching the kids jump time after time. We learned how to fish for trout on The Little Red River and caught our limit everyday! We will come back every year! When I asked my children if they wanted to come back they said "Yes to this lake and this cabin, cuz if we stay somewhere with a more modern feel it wouldn't be the same"!!! They are city/shopping so that statement really blew me away. Thanks to the owners for sharing this wonderful cabin with us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed here with mom, dad, sister and nephew. Everyone had comfortable accomidations in this beautiful, clean and fully equiped lake house. We enjoyed the great deck and were able to launch our boat just minutes away. Mike was avaliable by phone to answer our questions when we arrived, the property was very well maintained and we are looking forward coming back next year. We left the place as clean as we found it and our damage/cleaning deposit was returned to us within 2 weeks. For us this was the pefect family retreat.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2003
About the owner: My wife and I purchased this house for us to spend vacation and weekends with our family. I am an engineer and half owner of an engineering company and fabrication shop. My wife is a real estate broker and owns her own real estate agency.
Why the Owner Chose Tumbling Shoals:
Greers Ferry Lake is a beautiful Corp of Engineers lake that is over 42 miles in length. It is very clean and clear water. The house is on the water so we can sit on the deck and look at the lake and is only about 5 miles from great trout fishing below the dam
The Unique Benefits at this House:
You can anchor your boat, jet skis or party barge out front and walk up and down the steps from the deck to the water. Their is a public launch area about 1 mile from the house where you can launch the boat or jet skis for free. The house has three (3) levels of decks with a hot tub on the middle level. The view out the two large sliding glass windows is fabulous.
