Imagine luxurious outdoor living with wildlife all around you! Casa Vida Verde is a new home located at Cabo Matapalo beach. The house sits just across the street from the beach and in the heart of the rainforest. You will see monkeys, scarlet macaws, sloths, blue morpho butterflies and toucans daily without ever leaving the balcony. The house offers a very large generous open-air living space and large chef's kitchen.
The Master Suite is very large with a king size bed, daybed and large private bathroom with double sinks and very large shower. The Jr. Master also offers a king size bed and large private bath as well as private seating area. The third bedroom is a Family room and can be arranged with a king size bed and two single beds OR up to 6 single beds. Large fully stocked kitchen with 6 burner stove and refrigerator. Our dining table seats 10. We have lots of new comfortable couches and chairs for lounging.

The family suite is perfect for couples traveling with younger children or for sleeping up to 6 individuals, and is roomy enough for everyone to be comfortable. The third full bath also has a very large shower. The living area is spacious and open to allow for natural cooling from the breezes. The living room and throughout the house have lots of comfortable, new couches and sofa chairs. The long dining table easily seats 10 in addition to a bar with 4 stools. The house offers an additional rancho with seating and hammocks for relaxing or a perfect space for yoga. The rancho easily holds 12 well spaced yoga mats. Casa Vida Verde has a dipping pool and large patio area with grill, with 6 lounge chairs and dining table with 4 chairs. We also offer wireless internet, onsite laundry and regular maid service.
Casa Vida Verde is located off the grid, so we run completely on solar power and do not have AC. The house is an opening living style to allow for natural cooling, and guests sleep under cotton mosquito nets and each bed has individual fans. All of our sheets and towels and high thread count cotton. We also provide complementary organic biodegradable soaps and shampoo products are provided to guests.
We also have a private chef available at an additional cost. Our chef will start your day off with coffee and fresh baked goods and prepare 3 meals a day to your preferences. Our chef service includes all shopping, cooking and clean up. Request pricing.

My overall rating for my stay at Casa Vida Verde is exceptional!! Everything was exactly as advertised and expected, if not more than expected. Therefore the listing description is spot on regarding the location, layout, amenities and everything else. I would highly recommend this area and this property to others. The caretaker Carlos and his wife Sianne were very informational and helpful in anything that we needed. The property is well maintained and the house was kept clean during our 5 night stay. Beds were made, towels were changed, garbage was removed, floors were swept, etc. I was also impressed that they provided a large bin for recycling materials and a bin for organic garbage. They also had a large wooden box to place organic foods in overnight in order to keep any wildlife away. We requested to have our meals cooked for us a couple of nights and mornings. The ladies that came to cook were very friendly and quite talented to put together delicious meals with whatever we had available for them. We joked that they would be good on the Food Network show "Chopped"! I was suprised at the lack of bugs (mosquito, purruja type bugs) at the house in the evening. We were prepared with repellent but never had to use it at the house or in the general area. As expected with any open house located in the middle of the jungle, there was the occasional scorpion, beetle, ants, etc., but were never a problem. My party included my 2 nieces of 2.5 yrs and 8 months old. Everything at the house was child friendly and they also enjoyed their stay and especially seeing the monkeys so often. The only thing that we wished we had noticed before we arrived was that we should have brought ice. The refrigerator keeps things cold, but it does not produce ice. The website does recommend bringing ice, but we missed that. However, Carlos was able to get some later during our stay when he went into Puerto Jimenez. The rum and cokes were expecially good that night! There are not words to describe waking up to the howler monkeys, toucans, and macaws every morning. And to be able to see the 4 species of monkey that exist in CR from the hammock at the house is priceless! If we are lucky, we will make coming here a family tradition every year. It was definitely the best New Years/Anniversary/Birthday/Family Reunion ever!!Owner response: Pura vida friends! Carlos here writing back wishing the best always...
