"La Petite Maison"
This delightful cottage is situated on the edge of a peaceful, fortified, medieval village. St Orens Pouy Petit is 8kms south of Condom, 5kms east of Valence, 50kms northwest of Auch - approximately 1 1/2 hours drive from Toulouse and Bordeaux airports.
Recently renovated, the stone cottage features tiled or wooden floors with pine ceilings, except in the large living/dining area which has exposed beams. From the living area and the main bedroom the cottage overlooks the surrounding countryside with a patio/sunterrace on the north side but receiving day long sunshine and the pool area, up stone steps to the east is surrounded by a stone terrace - secluded but again enjoying all-day sun. This cottage has two plus bedrooms, with 1 twin bed and 2 singles.
This area is one of the leading fois gras, wine and armangac producers as well as the large numbers of historical sights and chateaux. It is relatively uncommercialized and retains much of the rural French atmosphere. |
