It is said the San Miguel Allende sits atop a mountain made of crystal, and the creative energy that stirs there has for decades attracted artists and writers from around the world. Having traveled extensively, I can say there is no other place like it anywhere. I am usually a beach person, but the romance of the people in San Miguel and the many classes available for study ... whether making jewelry, art, collage or yoga and Pilates make this a truly special place. There is literally a celebration there every day. People are loving and friendly and very helpful. Some of the best food in the world can be found here. There are trips to nearby towns known for their pottery and art. Smiling children in their school uniforms fill the streets. Little girls in crisp white dress emerge from the many churches there every Saturday after having their first communions. Everywhere there is music and harmony. Every time I go, I find it harder and harder to leave.
Why the Owner Chose Colonia Aurora
I chose this condo because I am a middle-aged single woman and this is a very safe neighborhood, with the condo unit being completely walled and gated with a 24/7 security guard. I often walk to town at night for dinner and return by foot as well, always feeling secure. A concierge is onsite to help with any problems I had, and they were always quick to respond. It is a very friendly neighborhood AND is located next door to two bakeries where the smell of fresh bread and cakes wafts into the street, inviting all to enter for a cookie or piece of pie.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
I like that there is an elevator up to my third floor penthouse, and that I can cook an entire meal on my rooftop patio with wet-bar, gas stove and grill.
