  Our stay here was amazing! We were visiting the area in order to attend the graduation of our son from basic training at Parris Island! The pictures provided on the web site were accurate. The kitchen was well stocked with items needed. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean! The beach is just a short walk away and there was a beautiful Marina close by as well! A store was within walking distance as well! We loved watching the deer also! Our family would recommend this property to anyone! We will keep this property in mind for our future visits to Fripp Island! Many thanks to the property owners for their hospitality!!

  I have been to Fripp many times but the Fall is fabulous. The beach is beautiful and the weather perfect. It is an easy drive into Beaufort to shop or dine at any of the restaurants there. This house is so comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Can't wait to go back!

  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay on Fripp Island. This is a perfect place to stay for peace and quiet. This rental felt just like home. With four bedrooms and three baths there is a lot of space for everyone. I loved the screened in back porch overlooking the golf course. Had fun exploring the island on the golf cart that was provided and loved bike riding on the beach cruiser bikes that were here. Beautiful sunsets overlooking the ocean are within walking distance. I highly recommend this home to enjoy a peaceful getaway.

  A beautiful, well equipped house with modern look. Bikes, golf cart make the trip worth the price. George outs sunsets along with dynamic ocean views make this a priority return trip. Highly recommended

  We began the journey on Saturday thinking we'd be at the lovely, pet-friendly house for several days… but by Monday, we knew it was time to head home and Tuesday morning we were outta there by 8 a.m. The house was sufficient, no problems there. The issue, which put a negative spin to the trip, was that everything on the island was locked up for the summer and we were never warned about this reality. We were led to believe from the website there'd be several places to eat, golf everyday with our passes, quaint places to shop - nothing was open. There was one place for dinner and only one open for lunch. After two days of eating there, we'd had our fill of fried food. We were bored beyond belief - we went to Hilton Head all day one day, thank goodness, and we all wished we had booked a house there instead. Our days would have been packed with things to do. Beware - if it's the off season, bring lots of food and things to do.

  Owner response: I am sorry our guest did not enjoy Fripp Island. It is a private, family oriented, quiet wildlife preserved island with beautiful beaches, bike paths and two beautiful golf courses and it is not commercial!!   I've been travelling to Fripp for 32 years, my family had a house there for 25 of those and I haven't felt more at home since we sold it than when I stayed here. All the amenities you need, screened in porch is fantastic, the 6 person cart is great for larger groups. On top of that the owner is a delight to work with and was very accommodating. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this place, we hope to be back next year!

  We spent a long weekend at this house, and I highly recommend it. The location is great, with easy access to the beach and pool at the marina. The owners have provided bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc... The house is clean, spacious and well maintained. We had a group of 9 and never once did the place feel crowded. The rear deck is screened in and very private. The owner is very easy to get in touch with and was very pleasant to work with.

  My wife and I rented the Kilgore home to help pay back some close friends and family. All three groups raved about the place. Everything seemed to be updated and towels/linens were soft and fresh. The 6-man golf cart was a huge hit . . . The bicycles and beach chairs were in great shape and well used by all. The location was great with quick access to the beach, marina, pools and Ocean Creek golf course. We really loved the huge screened porch surrounded by deer, birds and even golfers. The kitchen is well stocked for anything and everything. The owner was very helpfully with my many questions before our visit. We look forward to returning to the Kilgore home on our next visit to Fripp Island.

  This is an outstanding place to stay. It is very tastefully decorated, immaculate and cozy. The listing photos accurately reflect the appearance and amenities of the rental. Owner was very helpful and wonderful to work with. I would DEFINITELY recommend this property to someone looking for a good and reasonable place to stay. It is close to the beach. I loved the time that my husband and I were able to spend here and get away. Very relaxing and furnished with everything we needed.

  We just got back from a week staying in the Kilgore's beautiful beach house. What can I say that hasn't already been said here? It was truly perfect! The house is very spacious and well furnished. The location is ideal -- close to the beach (1/3 mile, 8 minutes walking or 2 minutes by bike or golf cart), even closer to the marina. There is a pool, restaurant and small convenience store at the marina plus you can rent boats, kayaks, etc. The house is on the 17th hole of the lush Ocean Creek golf course, right around the corner from the clubhouse and driving range. There is also a nice park across the street from the clubhouse with playgrounds, picnic table, basketball court and beach volleyball. Farther down that same road is the Cabana Club pool which is perfect for kids. As others have said, the house has EVERYTHING you need. Golf cart, bikes, beach chairs, boogie board, inner tube, plus of course the linens, beach towels, and a very well-equipped kitchen. There's even a second fridge in the garage with an icemaker! We left our soft drinks in that fridge and packed a small cooler every day for the beach. Speaking of the beach, the water is perfect for kids of all ages. Our 5-year-old loved being able to get in the water without the waves crashing over her head. Plus at low tide there are large tidal pools which are perfect for younger kids. And our teenagers had a great time in the ocean every day. You can throw a football, a frisbee, or play bocce on the beach. And you can bring a dog on the beach (on a leash). From LaRee Kilgore's recommendations, we had very nice dinners at the Foolish Frog in Frogmore and the Plums restaurant in Beaufort. (Both restaurants are within a 30-35 minute drive.) We did a kayak tour and saw dolphins, including a newborn! We of course saw the deer and birds everywhere. We played golf at both the Ocean Creek and Ocean Point golf courses, both really nice courses. And kids under 16 only cost $12 walking. Plus they have a special program for younger golfers (under 12) to encourage family golf outings. There is a small gym near the beach club with two treadmills, an elliptical and some weights. Bring your own towel. There are also some nice, quiet, shady roads for a morning run outside (my favorite roads for running were Dolphin Road and Porpoise Drive near Ocean Point). Thanks again to the Kilgores for an awesome vacation. We'll be back!!
