Lizzy's Landing is named after our dog Lizzy who finally gets to go along on vacation trips with her family. Lizzy's Landing is owned by Patricia and managed by Robyn. We both live in Raleigh but prefer to spend time at this beautiful vacation rental.
Why the Owner Chose Belhaven
Our friend and fishing guide Tim Penhollow grew up in this area and brought Robyn down here to fish many times in 2008-2009. We ALWAYS go home with a cooler of fish. This location on Pungo Creek cannot be beat. It is private but accessible. No matter what the weather you can get out on the creek and fish. If the weather is calm turn left and venture towards the Pungo River and Pamlico Sound or take a trip to Belhaven by water. If it's a little windy turn right and explore up the creek where it is more protected. Salt water game fish to be caught include striped bass, sea trout, flounder, puppy drum, black drum and more. Fresh water fish include largemouth bass and perch. Hunting, especially duck hunting, is fantastic. Duck hunter's will have easy access to the upper Pantego river and many other hunting sites.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Sit out on the rockers on the front porch and take in the sweeping view of acres of farmland. Sit out on the back deck that overlooks the 200 foot canal. No neighbors on either side lends for a very private location. Use our crab pots or eel pots right off of our bulkhead to catch crab, flounder, and eel. Also menhaiden bait for fishing can be netted most days in our canal. At the end of the day you can use our fish cutting station to filet your catch for dinner. Also enjoy the Koi Fish in our Pond. We have an albino cat fish who rules the pond. Kayaking, sailing, and jet skis would also be great from our canal which draws over 4 feet of water. Water access for boat trailers is via CEE BEE Marina on Highway 99.
