The home was just as described and it suited our family of 5 perfectly. The loft was especially great for our teenage daughter. I want to give special thanks to Ross for his speedy arrangements in getting us sheets and towels since in my haste to pack the day of departure, I completely forgot about sheets. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook (no one wanted to go out after skiing/snowboarding/swimming) which was perfect. We went to the grocery store 5 mins away and stocked up on everything we needed to cook/eat for the whole week. The kids had a great time snow tubing at Fernwood (although they were only able to get 4 runs in, I figure that's about average for 2 hours and plenty sufficient). Shawnee Mountain was a quick 10 minute drive from the house and our kids had a fantastic time learning how to snowboard and ski. And best of all, it took us exactly 1.5 hours to get there (and back) from Manhattan. We will definitely be staying there again!!!

Inside it's a very nice house. Perfect for our family of 4. Going "out of season" meant we really felt like we had escaped the city. Very short drive to Shawnee Mountain so excellent for skiing. Kids loved the pool. And the owner is very responsive, easy to deal with.

Awesome townhome with all the comforts of home! The cleanliness and decor was very impressive. My wife and I used the kitchen the entire week. The cabinets were well stocked with all the necessary pots,pans, and utensils. We enjoyed all the ammenities that Fernwood had to offer. Altogether a spectacular place to stay, whether you are looking to kick back and relax( as we did) or enjoy many of the winter sports that the Poconos have to offer. Ross was a pleasure to work with. I will definitely reccomend this to family and friends and plan to return in the future!

The place was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and I love the jacuzzi. There were also many things to do like snow tubing, skiing, snowboarding, swimming in the warm indoor pool and much more. I went there in the winter, the day after new year day and there were a lot of activities to do. Now imagine if it's summer time! I love this place and would love to go back.

The house was wonderful to stay in. Very clean and well decorated, and not far from good food and beautiful scenery. The resort pools were nice. The hiking trails and snow tubing hill were not open during our stay but we still had more than enough to do. We also booked a week here for the summer and look forward to coming back to the house and resort.

With 2 boys in the military on erratic schedules we planned an impromptu meeting place so we could see our 1 son between deployments. Ross was so accommodating even with all our changes in plans, people, dates, etc and his hospitality provided us a wonderful Thanksgiving with our son! Upon arrival the condo was in immaculate condition and had more amenities than we expected! The resort is beautiful and the condo was wonderful! The location is OUTSTANDING!!! You can be at anything in the Poconos in a matter of minutes. We hiked many trails, shopped, saw waterfalls, found restaurants and many many things to do in just a few minutes! Having use of the resort is wonderful as well. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking! We were very blessed by this place and would recommend renting from Ross to anyone! And if needed, we would rent again in a heartbeat!

My family and I rented this villa for a last summer vacation before school starts. It was perfect. The villa was conveniently close to the market and the amenities of the hotel. It was very nice! It only rained Tuesday and Thursday, but wasn't downpouring like at home. I like your place its very warm and homelike. I've stayed at the Shawnee Inn in the past, and I prefer the the Fernwood Resort, so it was perfect. I'm back to work feeling very refreshed!! I hadnt taken a whole week in quite awhile, and I got to spend time with my the people I love. Thanks you so---much! Hope to be able to rent again sometime in the future!!

Enjoyed our stay at the Villa. Very Clean and Comfortable. My daughter had fun at the pool near the mini golf course (19 holes for $3 pp - great deal). The pool ranged from 1 ft to 4 ft, which was great since my 5 year old is just learning how to swim. We hit the outlet stores for some back to school shopping and watched some DVDs. A relaxing time for all.

We had a fantastic time here and visiting Allentown, Philly, East Stroudsburg, King of Prussia and other towns. We’ve been married for 25 years and out of this time we’ve stayed in PA many times. The people are so laid back, we love it, and we just might retire in PA. The townhouse is very, very comfortable and we loved every minute!

This vacation home is as lovely in person, as the pictures show online. My husband and I took a much needed vacation, and we found that we were able to relax and enjoy the week in this spacious and well designed home. The Home Owner Ross, called us on the day of our arrival and graciously answered any questions that we had. I thought it was very thoughtful for him to check in with us. We were impressed that Ross had thought of everything one may need while on vacation, from a cork screw, to laundry detergent. The description online is very accurate, and you will definately not be disappointed. Our week away, was affordable, and relaxing.... we would definately recommend this vacation spot to our friends should they want to visit the Pocanos.

My wife and I rented this villa for our honeymoon and we had a great time. Ross is really helpful, and responds very quickly. The Villa itself was very nice, and it was very clean and orderly. The kitchen has everything you need, from plates and flatware, pots and pans, glasses and cups, its fully stocked except for the food. The jacuzzi is a very nice addition. The villa is located on the resort, which is also very nice, with plenty of attractions, and there are all sorts of things to do in the area. Overall, we really loved our stay here and would happily come again and recommend it to everyone.

Very good place for weekend relaxation

This was a great place with plenty of room to stretch out. The fireplace in the living room was a very nice touch, and the landlord was nice enough to include a small library of DVDs for entertainment. The main bathroom even has a jacuzzi for relaxation. The place is also very close to most of the local attractions. We were able to see the Bushkill falls, Buttermilk falls, and hike the Appalachian Trail all within the same weekend. The landlord was also nice enough to answer our call late on Friday night when we needed help to check in. Overall it was an excellent experience and we recommend the place to anybody else.

Our stay was comfortable. The place was clean just like it should be. The heat was perfect. We didn't get too cold or hot like other units we stayed at before. Only thing was that we had to babyproof everything which was fine b/c not much had to be done. The owner was very nice and on top of things. Got back to us in promptly manner. Check in and out was very easy.

Our holiday stay was full of great winter activites. The on premise snow tube slide was the fastest. We got fresh Aspen Colorado styled fine powder for alpine skiing at Shawnee. A unbelievable treat in the NorthEast! The condo was an end unit that was well lit by natural sunlight. All utensils and cookware was on hand for our one family dinner preparation. There was a well thought out child and teen friendly selection of current dvds at hand for the kids. Ross was very accommodating before and after we got to the condo. We were a family of four with friends who stopped by for a ski day. We felt warm and comfortable during our stay and we would gladly do it again next year. We look forward to many returns! Thanks!

We just got back from staying at Ross's townhome we had a great stay.When we arrived we found it very clean and neat as described. Perfect for families! The extra benefits of using Fernwood amenities are a plus, the pools and hot tubs are great after a day of tubing. We even were able to sled right outside the bedroom deck area down the hill . We highly recommend staying here and very close to stores, snow tubing ,skiing etc.

The description of the town house was completely accurate. The house was very clean and well kept. The owner (Ross) provided great customer service, he was very nice and so helpful in the whole process of renting the place out and afterwards as well. We would recommend this property to all of our friends and family if they were looking for a getaway in the Poconos. We loved that Shawnee Mt. was 8-10 minutes away from the property. We were five minutes away from Supermarkets and restaurants, and there was snow tubing and a pool for the kids to use on the property. Also we made good use of the board/ card games that were available in the house. We stayed here with kids and they had a great time as well, they loved the house.

This property is awesome! It's clean, affordable, spacious and close to many attractions. Whether you are going for outdoor adventures or a weekend getaway this is the place!! fun and family friendly in the poconos

we had a great week at this resort rental in the poconos. The house was family friendly and stocked with essentials for cooking, relaxing and enjoying time with friends and family. You cant go anywhere and get a 3 bedroom, 3 bath with porches and fireplace and a full eat in kitchen for the price. Washer and Dryer were a nice plus for the week(especially back and forth from the pool with wet clothes) and Ross was a pleasure to deal with. The only drawback is that this place is not good for anyone who cant manage stairs there are a lot of stairs to get into the place and 3 levels of stairs inside the home. Make use of the indoor pools, kids zone, cluhouse, horseback riding, outlet stores, great shoopping, restaurants and country back drop all 1:45 from NYC. We'll be back again in 2011.

A Nice Rental for the Price

Four of my friends and I stayed at this house for a weekend and we had a great time. We did not feel crowded at all. We enjoyed that the kitchen was well stocked with supplies and appreciated the number of bathrooms. We ate at the pub down the street and got a good deal with a gift certificate from Restaurants.com. We also shopped at the Christmas Factory and went to Bushkill Falls. The owner promptly answered all of our questions about the rental. Please note that there is a large flight of stairs leading up to the unit and three flights of stairs (one spiral) inside the unit.

I stayed at this house for a weekend getaway with a few close friends. Ross was more than helpful up to and during the time of the rental. As well as after the rental. The house was in great shape and had all the comforts of home. It was stocked with cleaning products, eating utensils, dvds, and games. We had our second trip planned before we even finished our first one. The price was affordable and unlike other rental options - he offered paypal payment for added security of your money. It was close enough to everything you could ever need (food shopping, restaurants, lakes, rivers, etc). I honestly have every intention of returning to this house because I can't imagine a better experience. It was great to be able to use all of the facilities at the hotel (pool, gym, etc!) The view from the balcony was great. I cannot say enough good things! Thanks so much for the great experience!

We were very pleased with the condition of the rental unit. It was very clean, and had all updated appliances. The TV and movies at the house were also an added benefit. The unit was fairly close to the pool. You did have to drive to it, but you could have walked to it if you wanted some exercise. The outdoor pools were very nice. The one indoor pool at the Villa's did seem a little outdated. The Hottub was nice. We did like the binder that Ross had as far as activities were concerned in the area. We did go to the Bushkill Falls which was very nice. This year the falls had not much water with the drought. We also took a day trip to Lake Wallenpaupack for the day which was very nice. My sister and I treated our parents to a week long vacation, along with my husband and 1 year old daughter. There was plenty of room for all of us. My mother brought her own utensils, plates, cups etc but was so impressed with the cleanliness that she did not need to use her own. It was a luxurious space, especially for the price. For those with babies, you do want to be aware that there are stairs. We brough our safety gate with us and had no problems. We had access to all Fernwood facilities, including the pools, game room, bar areas, etc. Overall, we had a great time and would happily return.

beautiful and relaxing

The place was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. I would reccomend it for just about anybody. It is a great family place a great place to get away and be able to relax. It was quiet and peaceful and we even woke up one morning and there were 2 deer standing right outside the window. The apartment was very roomy and had everything we needed. Everything was clean and it felt just like a home. There are also several pools, a gym, and tennis courts at the resort. It is in a great location where it will not take long to get to different activities. Less than 5 minutes from Bushkill Falls which is a beautiful place. There are so many activities you can do in that area. We went on a plane ride, horseback riding, ATV riding, and so much more. It was all less than 30 minutes away. There are also groccery stores and shops close by. The owner was also amazing, extremely helpful and prompt. Overall I was very very impressed with our entire experience.

A great place to stay with no worries

The unit had all the ammenities that you would expect (cable TV, dishwasher, microwave, etc) and was very easy to get to. Owner was very responsive and gave great information about the resort, directions, etc... My family of 4 (two college age children) had a wonderful time. We hiked the Bushkill falls, canoed on the Delaware River, played golf, tennis, went bowling near by, watched the World Cup Soccer games, relaxed at the pool, read books. For me a nice feature was no internet. My kids could not hid behind their internet distractions and we actually had conversations (anyone with teenagers knows how hard that can be :-). The only dis-appointment was the horseback trail riding at Fernwood. The outfitter was nice, polite and competent. Horses were nice and easy to ride. However, the trail was not very exciting and we basically just rode over the same trail segment for 45 minutes. This would be okay if you never rode horses before, but we were looking for more of the Pocono scenary. We also visited the town of Miford PA - about 40 minutes north on Rt. 209. The only real item of interest in the town was the Gray Towers National Historic Site. This was the summer home for Gifford Pinchot, former Governor of Pennsylvania and first head of the USDA Forrest Service. Interesting achitecture if you like that sort of thing. FYI - the Fernwood resort is large and modern. It is not a little place that is tucked away in the Poconos. The villages are not crowded and we had plenty of space to ourselves during our visit. However, I suspect the resort would be very busy if you went over a summer Holiday week.

The house was very clean and had plenty of room for 4 to 5 people. It had all the amenities that you could ask for and is very close to glen park for anyone who likes mountain biking. Having the fernwood close by was also excellent and the pools and hot tubs were very nice. When we return to the poconos ill be looking for this place to stay again.

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful townhouse for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! It was just the quiet getaway that we were looking for. It is located only minutes from Bushkill Falls, along with many other attractions. The house has a dishwasher, hot tub, flat screen television, natural scenic views, and plenty of room. We would definitely recommend it to others and plan on returning again in the future!

I had a wonderful time with my friends in this vacation home. Highly recommended and very easy to get there ! There were 6 of us. Everything in this villa was well maintained and clean. Especially, there were all the necessities for cooking in the kitchen. We felt this place just like our home. The location is very close to other Poconos attractions. We are planning to come back here next year All of us agreed this place is a great place to let the stress just melt away~ Guess what? We didn’t want to leave that house at the last moment we were leaving. ? The owner was very quick in his responses back to us! I would definitely suggest this property to others. Girls Weekend

I spent a recent weekend at this spot for a girls weekend. One nice thing, two nices things, were that this townhouse was nicely equipped, and everything worked! We enjoyed Bushkill tremendously, and also took a short drive (20 minutes or so) and explored the town of Milford. We had one meal out, but really enjoyed eating in, and watching movies one night. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the place is comfortable and homey. Overall, a geat place to get away and relax. We would recommend it. The owner is responsive and easy to work with. This villa in Fernwood is very comfortable for a family of 4-6 people. It was extremely clean and nicely decorated. My daughters thought their room was "AWESOME" especially with the spiral staircase leading to it. The staff at Fernwood were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the swimming pools and also took in some horseback riding while there. In the evenings we enjoyed the movies and games provided by the owner. We are already discussing a return trip next year!

Four of us girls stayed in this rental and we all loved it. The upstairs loft is perfect for a few kids, or in our case, a single woman. The downstairs bedrooms are spacious and I loved having all of those decks to relax on. The whirlpool tub was a big hit, as was the full size kitchen. We loved all the space we had to move around. The flat screen TV was perfect for DVD games! 80's Scene It anyone? The house was immaculate. Even though I'd seen pictures first, it was not what I'd expected. We were very pleased and WILL rent again! There are things in the area to do as well. Be sure to check out the handy guide books in the big white binder that the owner put together! That thing is a life saver! I definately recommend Bushkill Falls. Even for the novice hiker, there is a perfect trail waiting for you. Bring bottled water though! AND your camera! Werry's Tavern down the road is bring your own booze. Fun, but don't forget to bring your booze! I have already recommended this rental to a few other friends. I'd love to come back to see what the summer has to offer. Thanks for offering such a great rental house! We WILL be back!
