The living room offers some nice features, including a flat screen TV, DVD, surround sound and digital cable, a gas fireplace, hardwood floors throughout with sisal rugs, wireless internet, and comfy overstuffed couches. [Wireless internet services are not guaranteed to work with your equipment.] We cannot provide support for guest's personal computer systems.The dining room features pendant lights over the dining table. The large galley-style kitchen has a Dacor stove with 6 burners and a double oven. The tiled sunroom includes a flat screen TV, a futon that will pull out to a double bed, and a bar with small refrigerator.
Outside the sunroom. there is a large deck with a gas grill. The fenced yard is nicely landscaped, and includes a jungle gym for the kids and a private pool. The private pool has a fun feature...colored lights that will change the color of the water!
Home includes: free parking, screened porch or deck, initial supply of linens and towels, washer and dryer, color cable TV, air conditioning, starter supply of paper products and detergents, fully equipped kitchen with dinnerware, flatware, pots and pans, plus local telephone service.

My wife and I decided to attempt planning a last-minute weekend getaway when our work schedules opened up late last week. We contacted a few places without very high hopes of everything working out on such short notice, especially because we needed to bring along our two small dogs. However the owner of Caretta Cottage was incredibly helpful and we got the rental booked without issue and arrived the day after speaking with and confirming it with him. He was very friendly and accommodating, and we had a great time at the cottage and on the island during our trip. It's an excellent location (short walk across the street to the beach), has very reasonable rental rates and the owner made the stay easy from check-in to check-out. I would certainly recommend this to others looking to stay in the area.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We (literally) just returned from our family Spring Beach trip to IOP. We always enjoy our summer beach trips, but we wanted a spring trip as well this year. Now we can't wait for our summer trip back - and it is unanimous via the kids, that we must get this house again!! If you are looking for a fun, comfortable, family friendly house, this is it!! A must for me is a kitchen with decent cookware..I don't expect to have everything that I need, but it seems that this time I did!! There is an absolutely fabulous s(f)un room with a bar with stools, foosball table, tv (which we rarely used), futon and loveseat. In addition, there is a very cozy, but more formal living room. Plenty of seating space for all our family and friends. Large dining table served the purpose for our family game night versus family dinners, which we all ate outside on the back deck overlooking the pool and beautiful yard. Since this house was pet-friendly, we took advantage of the early morning "leash-free" time on the beach. The dogs absolutely loved running the beach leash-free time to meet other four-legged friends. I feel like I can't enough good things!! IOP is a great beach and this house was a great find and I hope that we can return again. It was a perfect place for our family.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Great place and owners could not be nicer. Little chilly for the pool, however looking forward to coming back for that! Good location - walk across street to beach or just up road to marina. Great backyard area to hang out and for dog.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We loved this house! Great yard, great floor plan, clean, and the foosball table was the highlight for our 3 young sons. The kitchen is spacious, plenty of room to entertain and nice comfy beds. We are already planning to book for next year! We brought our dog and the yard was perfect.Recommended for: Pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We stayed at Caretta Cottage this spring and loved it. The kids played in the back yard and my husband enjoyed the deck and large screen with ESPN sports. The kitchen was perfect with the galley set up and Dacor Professional gas stove. The beds were wonderful. The beach is just a short walk to the end of the street. Very quiet and peaceful street and we felt very safe. We are definately returning to Caretta Cottage next year.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family stayed there last August, and I plan to reserve another week for this year! It is a perfect house for a family with dogs, complete with a swimming pool! It is in a perfect location, and my dogs loved the yard. We felt very comfortable and at home here. It is by no means perfect, but when you are traveling with children and pets....you couldn't ask for anything better!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children.
