This was a great place to get away from the city and unwind, thanks for making the house so comfortable. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the yard. The house was clean and felt like it had been left ready for us to arrive. Ben, thanks for being so helpful and quick to respond when we were booking. We are really looking forward to our next visit.

Just a quick note to let you know we had a great time in the house this past weekend. So very cozy and in a great area. Close to both Woodstock and excellent hiking etc… The weather threw us a bit of a curveball with snow on Saturday, but that just made it nicer to cozy up by the fire place. We will definitely keep your place in mind should we head up there again.

Ben was the most gracious host we could imagine and the house and property are simply wonderful. We have a dog who was in heaven every time we took him outside and the yard even has a small fenced in area which is a rare find in the country and a bonus when you have a husky who can't be trusted off leash! The property has 2 small creeks running through it and feels very private and tucked away. It was also great for cooking and entertaining (nice kitchen, huge dining room). We'll definitely be back!

My husband and I took my parents who were visiting from Australia here for a weekend of relief from the city. It was beyond what we needed. So lush, and clean, and private. The house is cosy & really quaint. All of the attention to detail really brings the house to life. We stayed in and cooked (incredibly equipped kitchen) and explored the area during the day. The little bridge over the stream is such a nice touch. Went for a long walk, and explored woodstock too. But it felt so so wonderful to come back to this house! The property is really a gem!!!!! We will be coming back and it was truly one of the buggest highlights of my parents trip.

We had a lovely time and you have quite the place. We really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and just kicking back and sitting on the platform in the backyard. You should advertise the platform! Such a nice view sitting on there... We managed to find the "blue hole" waterway to swim in, and also found our way to the Hanes Falls where we hiked down to the water and swam all day. Didn't make it to the hike you suggested, but definitely want to check that out next time! Hope you are having a nice beginning to the summer and thanks again for letting us stay at your great place! Had such a wonderful time, and hope to stay there again! Thanks, Claire

My sister recommended this place and it was great! The kids were thrilled to find a fun sledding hill right outside the front door and were in hog heaven. I wanted to show my wife how it was in the old days so I lit a fire in the fireplace. It really provides a lot of heat and there's a ton of dry wood in a woodshed ten feet from the house. We were pleased to find plenty of condiments and tableware as well as a fully appointed kitchen. It was clear at night that weekend and the stars were incredible. To top it all off, it was QUIET. Thank you for all the great games in the cabinet, too. And the kids also loved seeing deer right behind the house. Saturday morning we drove into Phoenicia and had breakfast at Sweet Sues (thanks for the recommendation; it was wonderful). Took the kids on a nature walk in the woods behind the house, too. Didn't see any more deer, although we did find more tracks. We had a great time.

We had a great time staying at the cabin - the kids loved sledding down the large hill on the property and it was easy to watch them from the cabin. It snowed just a couple of nights but the cabin was always very comfortable. The woodstove/fireplace does a great job keeping the cabin warm, and its just fun to have a fire going when its cold and snowy outside. Kitchen is top notch and easy to navigate - overall we had a blast staying here - I highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved this little hidden gem of a cabin right outside woodstock. The house is cozy and well appointed. The property is private and there is lots of room for kids to explore in the yard. And the woodburning stove in the living room is a real bonus on a freezing cold night. It was a great place to hide away from the city for a long weekend. Owners are also extremely helpful in orienting you to the area and we had a great time exploring Woodstock and Wyndham ski resort.

My wife and I rented this house with three other couples for a fall getaway from the city and we were thrilled with the flexibility of the layout and the number of things to do in the area. First, the layout. Two closed-in bedrooms separate from the living area make bedtime easy for kids and allow for privacy. Love the reno'd kitchen allowing for the uber-chef to strut his/her stuff while being a 'full-on' part of the party being open to the living room. Love to big wood dining room table...great for eating and partying afterwards. Enjoyed the firepit out back...close enough to the house to include the keeper of the bbq in the fun. Also cozy wood stove in the living room if it gets wet out. The owner is easy to deal with, although we had minimal contact, which is the idea. Everything was ready for us - clean and stocked. Good restaurants in the area. The Bear Cafe n Woodstook was recommended by the owners. Even us jaded New York foodies loved it...streamside, cozy and good choices. A spa is a 5 minute drive away on the main road...the name escapes me, but the owners know it. My wife loves fall colours, and she got her fill. I love getting 'off the grid' with friends, and I got a hassle-free fill. I would highly recommend this as a rental. Mountain comfort with no uncertainty.

This was our second stay. We're so glad our friends recommended this lovely mountain home to us. We enjoyed the huge yard which was great for throwing around a football or baseball! Evenings were perfect making smores at the bonfire pit. The house is clean and in great condition. And the owners are responsive and a joy to deal with. Highly recommended!

My wife and I rented this home last summer and invited my parents and sister to join us. The house is very cozy and we had a great time cooking in the kitchen (it's fully stocked with pots, pans, spices) and relaxing in the home. The second and third bedrooms are somewhat small, but we all felt very comfortable nonetheless. It was our first time in the Catskills and we found the location to be really convenient - near the towns of Phoenicia, Woodstock and Saugherties. I definitely think we'll return. It was such a nice escape from the fast pace of New York City.

Great location for the family to be in the outdoors and cozy enough to light a fire and roast chest nuts. Bring a bottle of wine and relax. This is an ideal place if you want to get away from the city. It's also cool to see a ton of different wildlife. Can't go wrong... we've been to this house multiple times. It's the total package.
