We came to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and were not disappointed. The cabin is sparkling clean and cute as a button. The bathrooms and kitchen are well supplied with all the necessities and then some. Bridget is very accomodating and so very easy to work with. The welcome bottle of wine was an especially nice touch - thank you! I hadn't appreciated it fully from the pictures, but the view from the master bedroom bay window is spectacular. Lying in bed at night with the moonlight illuminating the snow-covered valley below is truly magical. My only slight disappointment was that the cabin, while it may sit on 10 acres, has a second house very close by so it was not quite as secluded as I had initially thought. However, the area is very quiet; there was very little traffic or road noise so it turned out to be a non-issue. The house is only 3 miles from Crouch, and restaurants and a grocery store are close by. We are snowshoers and found lots of national forest land nearby. Our golden lab had a wonderful visit - we actually had a hard time coaxing her into the vehicle when it was time to go home. We had a great time and hope to come back again!

Thanks for a wonderful stay! We enjoyed meeting you so much and had a perfect few days down at the river and enjoying the deck in the evenings. You think of everything! Loved the bath robes, bottle of wine, soft sheets and fluffy towels...as far as cabins go this is definately a ***** star!! We'll be back- can't wait.

What a blessing for us when our daughter, Brooke, found your terrific property. We have SO enjoyed our time on the porch with the deer, cow elk, quail, humming birds and lots of birds. We had a great campfire with s'mores. Even mom (92 yrs old) made the trip down ot the fire. We completely enjoyed the cabin and your wonderful hospitality. Steve-keep feeding those two bass-that way I'll always be sure there are some fish on the bit up here. The cabin is very relaxing and wow! -Bridget, you are so right....all we needed was over food, wine and clothing. By the way we did make a substantial number of contributions to the wine cork collection. Thanks too for the use of the domino's. I whipped them all again! Rest asured our closest of friends will be made aware of your terrific property. Thanks for sharing your piece of heaven with us.

What a wonderful week of sun! We had such a great time relaxing at the river, soaking our feet in the cool water, and floating the curve. Your home is so relaxing and this is the best place to recharge before heading back to work. It was so much fun to see the 40+ quail chirping and running around the property, as well as stumbling across deer when heading to the river. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Elk, Opsry, Deer (one right in front of the door), Quail, Humming Birds, Frogs and some of the most beautiful birds were some of the fantastic sights we enjoyed from the front porch of your home. The sight of the river from the chairs while relaxing is a sight I will hold in my heart forever! In a word, the cabin was PERFECT - don't change a thing! You both are kind to invite us to taste a piece of your slice of heaven, and we thank you so very much. Don't forget our offer to be the "caretakers" - I am sure we could do a good job! April 2011 Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin. It is a beautiful place. We loved the extras you provided - made it feel "extra" homey. Thanks a bunch! My favorite part of the trip wasn’t meeting Coach Pete, the game, or even the jokes; it was without a doubt the cabin. It was great to just get away from the world and relax with the best dad in the world. If I retook this trip I wouldn’t change the location, and I definitely wouldn’t change my partner. The cabin was all I thought it would be and more. Without the location we had, the trip wouldn’t be the same. Just the fact that we were able to see wildlife, experience the cold, and have some peace and quiet made it that much better. I hope that I will be able to take my kids on this great of a trip. I think that the cabin wouldn’t be the same without the little things; things like the wood for the fire, the animal towel, and the egg water. I know that if we go back with the family the shower won’t really bug them. They will be so in love with everything else that they won’t even notice.

October 2010 We had lots & lots & lots of FUN! We really enjoyed the cable TV. The swing was really cool, especially if we stand on it! You have a big fish thats super cool. I liked the moose. We saw lots of deer. Thank you soooo much for letting us stay here! Elizabeth I really enjoyed having the privilege of getting to stay here. I think my favorite part of this trip would have to be the tranquil feeling I constantly had, along with the beautiful scenery. I got to experience a "hard core" hike to the opposite side of the prairie (if that's what I would call it.). I saw snakes, deer, frogs, birds, and fish. I really felt at one with nature. Tiana -

Let me just start by saying the view and surroundings were absolutely beautiful. We loved sitting out on the porch and enjoying the majestic views of the mountains and the river and the wildlife. It was so serene and peaceful. Our kids had so much fun on the swing and down at the river. Only wish we could stay for longer.

We have greatly enjoyed our stay here. It was been the perfect, quiet get-away from our busy lives. We spent much of our time exploring the river. We found some great treasures in the river bed. We collected many agates. For us it was like beach combing in Oregon. We also found snakes, frogs, tadpoles, trout, minnows and wonderful driftwood. We also spent a lot of time just watching the flora and fauna. We enjoyed the mother duck with her 10 ducklings. They are tremendous swimmers. We also enjoyed the quail. The California quail are different than our Bob White quail we have in Kansas. We saw elk, deer (both whitetail & mule), eagles, duck, geese, river otter, trout and tons of birds. Spenser loved feeding Billy Bob The Bass. This was truly a refreshing trip.

We are so glad we found your wonderful cabin. We had an amazing time and it was the perfect place to stay for our wedding! We were very blessed to find each other and we got to share our marriage/wedding with our friends and celebrate our new beginning with them here. We loved seeing the wildlife and the river was a great place to play with our labs-the whole pack of them! Thank you so much. In the three short days that we have been here my kids have seen: Elk, Fox, White Tail Deer, Woodpeckers, Geese, Ducks, Bald Eagles, Quail-all in the wild. It is truly a priceless & magical experience. Most people will never see half of these animals in the wild and we saw them each day. Your location is the best in the whole valley.
