Spectacular lake house with amazing views of the water and the sunset! This home sits on a point lot at Dogwood Point just minutes from I 65 and Cullman. Its location is ideal for a week-end getaway from Huntsville and Birmingham and surrounding areas. The home has a wrap around porch on all 4 sides to provide protection from the weather and allow you views at any time of day. The water side of the house has full length windows and the master bedroom, great room, kitchen, breakfast room and study are all on the water side of the home. The other bedrooms in the house also have windows with views of the lake.
There are kayaks and life jackets (in various sizes) on the premises for adults and children. There are several coves nearby that are ideal for kayaking and bird watching. The mallards, wood ducks and great blue herons are plentiful as well as hummingbirds (3 seasons of the year). I have even seen a pied billed grebe and several little green herons. There is a single slip floating boat dock on the water in front of the property.
Smith Lake Park is only 3 miles away with waterslides, pool and a sandy beach. There is a great barbeque restaurant less that 2 miles away and a great seafood restaurant less than 4 miles away. Cullman has many parks, museums and attractions for your enjoyment as well as shopping malls and a theater all within 11 miles or less.

Year Purchased: 2005
I purchased this home as a permanent residence and really enjoyed living on the lake. I love the outdoors and the water so this is the perfect place. I have since moved to Huntsville and use this home for a week-end getaway, but I don't get to use it often. I decided to let others enjoy the point views, the water and the peacefulness of the lake.

The Unique Benefits of this House
The views are incredible and the sunsets spectacular! The home is located on the main channel of the lake and is an ideal location for skiing and kayaking. It is only 10 minutes to Walmart and downtown Cullman. There are restaurants and grocery stores within 5 minutes. The deck is shaded by a beautiful huge oak tree and the wrap around porch allows you to be outside even when raining. There are no steps to the water and there is a single slip floating boat dock.
