Jane's Place Montana on Flathead Lake is located on two gently sloping acres on the East shore of Flathead Lake in Northwestern Montana. Our home overlooks Flathead Lake and the famous Flathead Cherry orchards, we are surrounded, on three sides, by orchards.
We have our own beach, a short walk down through the orchard, with a 50' wooden dock and concrete boat ramp, open for your use. We have a 35' SeaRay cabin crusier outfitted for lake fishing. It is often available for hire. Please call ahead if you would like to book a fishing trip. We also have a lake kayak that is here for your use, free of charge along with water toys. The beach is of the small rocky type. Beach chairs and loungers are availiable for your use. There is a propane BBQ on the beach. (Camp fires on the beach are allowed at some times of the year).
Our home is comfortable and set up with the basics, and then some. The kitchen is simple and clean. It comes fully equipped with cookware, dishes, glassware, stemware, plenty of silverware, cooking utensiles and more, just ask!! We also provide basic spices, fresh coffee beans, a grinder & tea. The stove is electric, the fridge is a new large stainless GE model and there is a roll out dish-washer with a large butcher block top.
Sleeping Arrangements: There are two smaller bedrooms upstairs. The Lake View room has a new queen bed with soft cotton sheets and plenty of pillows. The second room upstairs has a new trundel bed that pulls out and can sleep two, a great room for the kids. This bedroom contains one of the 3 full bathrooms in our home. You will find the master bedroom, with the most wonderful king size bed on the planet, downstairs as well as one of the three full bathrooms. The master opens onto the lower deck, (1 of 3 decks!) and hot tub. The living room has one queen pull out sleeper sofa and a queen bed lounge area that can be made into a bed. There is also another 'regular' sofa (leather) that a person could sleep on. We also have a queen airbed that is availiable.
Bathroom Arragements: There are 3 full bathrooms. A new 'masterbath' downstairs with a new walk in tiled shower, one bathroom with a shower in the trundel bed room and an entry floor bathroom with shower and tub. The two bathrooms upstairs are sometimes considered on the small side, but they are clean, fresh and serve their purpose.
The front deck off the kitchen has a large charcoal BBQ/smoker, and brickettes are always on hand. All bedding and towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels, house towels are not allowed on the beach.
PETS: Well behaved adult non-shedding bred dogs are welcome at Jane's Place Montana. They MUST be pre-approved. A copy of current vaccination records must be faxed to us PRIOR to your reservation being confirmed. MilkBones are always on hand! At this point in time, May 2012, we do not have a fenced yard.
Flathead Lake is a FANTASTIC vacation destination, we'd love to share it with you!! During the summer months we live on the property, below the house, out of sight. We are available to lend a hand if need be. We also have a 'caretaker' that maintains the gardens and hot tub.

And one more large deck downstairs/below, that comes off the master bedroom. This is where the hot tub lives. Another great spot to relax.
- Outdoor Grill Charcoal : 2 BBQ's ~ 1 large BBQ on the front deck w/ brickettes & lighter fluid provided. There is also a smoker on the BBQ. At some times of year we have cherry & apple wood available for smoking. Please ask ahead. We have a gas BBQ down on the beach for grilling up some of the fresh fish you just caught from the dock!!

We slept 5 single adults more than comfortably. Could easily sleep 8 if sharing a bed. (We had camper parked in the driveway that slept two) Seven adults used the house which has three fully stocked bathrooms. A kitchen equipped for a chef! We have a couple chef's in the family so we used the kitchen. There is every appliance you could possibly want. The outdoor living space is a huge bonus. We had hot weather and utilized every deck. Hot tubbing at night after many swims in the lake. The private dock and swim "noodles" were used daily. WE LOVED it. Teresa is a very accommodating hostess. She is a phone call away if you need her, but never "in the way"
Owner response:I would like to thank the H..... clan for being such great guests but I have to say in all honesty for potential guests, I would not consider my kitchen a "gourmet chef's" kitchen. It is very nice, clean and has all the basics & then some but the size would disqualify it from being "gourmet". Thanks so much for the nice review!! Come back again!!

Jane's Place was the perfect place for us to catch our breath en route to a week in Glacier National Park. The views from the deck and the nearby beach on Flathead Lake are gorgeous. The house is wonderfully furnished, the kitchen well equipped, and the beds and pillows comfy. Teresa is a thoughtful host -- keeping in touch before our arrival, providing excellent directions as well as a local's perspective about the area (places to see, restaurant suggestions, things to do, routes to take). She ensured that our stay was enjoyable. We're already thinking of returning to Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park, perhaps for a longer stay with extended family. If we do, we'll definitely book with Teresa.

We just recently spent a weekend at Teresa's retreat and it was just wonderful! The house is located between beautiful orchards right by Flathead lake. Waking up to a wonderful view and picking our own cherries from her backyard were just a great start to the day. If you have a car it is no problem to explore the area which we usually did during the day. Later in the day we would enjoy the private beach down by the lake and watch the sun go down from the hot tub on the lower deck. Our stay was just wonderful and of course also thanks to Teresa!

We stayed with Teresa and Matt summer 2010 prior to some remodeling we've not seen yet and before the whole house was made available to rent. The location is stellar, perfect for kayaking and sailing on Flathead Lake right from their dock/ramp. With Glacier National Park little more than an hour away, we could enjoy a leisurely morning with a good book, terrific coffee along with homemade muffins and freshly gathered fruit from surrounding orchards, and a soak in the hot tub, before heading out for further exploration of "the Crown of the Continent." Dining options were plentiful, varied, and very good a short jaunt up the road to Big Fork, or even closer, in Woods Bay. We slept great,a very comfortable queen size bed dominating our small room. Big Sky, big lake, gorgeous vistas, sunrises & sunsets,starry nights are all there, a part to Montana's claim as "The Last Best Place." I can imagine how fun it would be to return to this house to share it and Montana with friends and family.
