Why the Owner Chose Duck Creek Village

My wife and I chose this location because of the large lots (average size 5 acres), few people, paved streets, and close proximity to all our favorite outdoor activities.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin

My family enjoys escaping the busy life we have in the city by relaxing by the fire, riding ATV's, snowmobiling, fishing, roasting marshmallows, and hiking at nearby Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Cedar Breaks National Monument.

Great Mountain Home

Guest: Dan and Becky (Sheridan, Wyoming, USA)
Date of Stay: 09/24/11 Review Submitted: 10/04/11

We stayed at this mountain home during the last week of September and found it to be a great central location for day trips to Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon and Zion. After having stayed in quite a few vacation rentals, we felt this was the best equipped and best decorated home of any we have ever rented. The property was clean and well maintained, the beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was top notch. We were especially impressed with the overall house lighting system, the satellite TV and audio/video system. Relaxing in the large living room or on the spacious deck was a special treat after a day of sightseeing and hiking. We would definitely recommend this place in a heartbeat.

Second time round and counting

If your looking for a vacation home with good reviews you have come to the right place. This was our second visit to that 'Luxury Mountain Home Between Zion and Bryce Canyon' a very formal title indeed. This house really needs a name as once you have visited you will remember it with great affection and will want to refer to it in a more personal way. Our previous review says it all really and second time round was just as good, this house is fantastic it has everything that we needed, wanted and didn't even know we wanted. The quality of the furnishings, decor and equipment is outstanding. The pictures of this house on the web look great but believe me it's better, no misrepresentation here you will not be disappointed. The Location worked great for us Zion, Bryce is just as short drive away with many other wonderful places nearby. Lake navajo which is only 20 minutes away was a great place to spend anything from a couple of hours to a full day. Want a fully equipped kitchen ..... you got it, while we opted for the BBQ most of the time due to the fantastic weather but I suspect gourmet chef's would not feel short changed in this kitchen. You a probably thinking there must be some negatives, well if there are we can not find them, as a vacation home in an area we wanted to vacation in I really think there would not be a better alternative. If you choose to visit after your first nights stay and coffee on that wonderful deck in the morning you will know you chose wisely.

Short but Sweet

Guest: Connecticut Family (Canton, Connecticut)
Date of Stay: 07/09/11 Review Submitted: 07/24/11

My family of six stayed at this Elk Ridge home for four days in mid-July 2011. The house is beautiful and so easy to simply "move-into." We were quite busy visiting Bryce Canyon, Zion, and the many slot canyons that are so very close. However, it was nice to come home after a long day of hiking to a comfortable, spacious, and solitude home such as this. There is great room downstairs for the kids to hang out and play games on a fun game table. The sunrises in the a.m. off the front porch were a great way to start our day. We were visited by many hummingbirds, birds and a mother mule deer and her two fawns. They were beautiful. The house is situated right off a rather busy route but you would not know it. It is set far enough back that the feeling of seclusion is not lost. Plus, the use of this heavily traveled route is your one and only path to some of the prettiest parks in the Southwest. There is a gas station 1/4 of a mile away with the usual rest stop fare. A fifteen minute trip in either direction will bring you to more stocked grocers. Please visit this home if you are ever in this part of Utah. We love to camp but sometimes it is nice to have a luxurious home to relax in after the hectic days of summer vacation.

Great mountain getaway

Guest: Bob (Cary, NC USA)
Date of Stay: 06/18/11 Review Submitted: 07/23/11

The house was excellent. Topnotch appliances and amenities. Location was great for days trips to all the surrounding parks. We stayed a week and were able to do Bryce, Zion, Kodachrome basin, Cedar Breaks, etc. It was great to have a "home base" instead of motel hopping. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

Our Wonderful Utah Adventure!

Date of Stay: 07/02/11 Review Submitted: 07/23/11

No stone was left unturned in providing every possible comfort in this luxury cabin. From the gourmet kitchen to wonderful comfy beds, we had everything we needed for a wonderful week in Utah. The house is beautiful and Kim was a pleasure to work with. We enjoyed relaxing on the spacious front porch watching the hummingbirds and deer. We really loved the giant icemaker. So convenient. What a perfect location for driving to Bryce, Zion and the Grand Canyon. We even spent one day exploring sights locally on rented ATV's. We hope to always be as lucky w/ vacation rentals as we were with the Jacobs beautiful cabin!

We just wanted you to know how much we appreciated staying in your beautiful, clean cabin. We spent 3 days at Bryce and the location was perfect. Zion was a little more difficult to get to, but that's the nature of the drive there! Your home had everything we needed to enjoy a restful stay. My daughters loved the chipmunks and we kept the hummingbirds fed. We've stayed at other homes in different states in the past, and this was the nicest. Perfect layout and wonderfully quiet at night.

Epic

Guest: Vermontgal (Vermont)
Date of Stay: 05/05/11 Review Submitted: 07/01/11

I travel out west from Vermont at least twice yearly and rent from VRBO about 96.3% of the time. This had to be one of... if not "thee" most wonderful of homes we have stayed in. Just so incredibly comfortable and stunning in every detail. The decks became an oasis, unfolding a nightly show of deer and various wildlife. Location was very ideal and it was only a short beautiful "ZOOM" to both Bryce and Zion. I usually do not stay in the same places twice but I find myself trying to plan my fall vacation around when this home is available. It was truly that big of an element that made my last western adventure so epic. Thank you for opening your home, you were a pleasure to deal with. :)

Great Home, especially for those who love to cook

Guest: Roger and Gini (Saibnt Paul, MN)
Date of Stay: 06/15/11 Review Submitted: 06/19/11

Our family loves to prepare great meals on vacations and this vacation home was the best! Here is why. It has a great stove, excellent cookware and sharp knives, all the necessary measuring cups, spoons, graters, serving dishes, great views for 4 adults while preparing meals and great views of the outdoors from the dining room table. We even prepared a home-made birthday cake for my 68th birthday! The large kitchen, dining room and living room has high ceilings and lots of light which makes it a delightful place to spend the late afternoons after hiking. Our two grandsons loved the lower level game table and large screen TV. The layout of the three levels is superb (baby Kate had great afternoon naps in the Pack-n-Play on the upper-most level). Kim was great to work with and we were able to put all of our meats, vegetables and fruit in the refrigerator before actually checking in! This large, well built, and nicely furnished vacation home is about as good as it gets and at a great price and great location. We wish we could take it with us to the Grand Tetons next summer. Roger and Gini

Awesome Place to Stay/ We had a Great Time!

Guest: the walters (arizona)
Date of Stay: 10/11/10 Review Submitted: 06/17/11

We drove up from Arizona to escape the heat and enjoy the mountain weather, ride dirt bikes & go fishing. We found this cabin online & decided to give it a try! It was even nicer than it seemed in the pictures. Morning coffee on the balcony was amazing with perfect views of fall foilage. I brought alot of my own cooking stuff, not knowing what the kitchen would come equiped with and was delighted to find next time I won't have to bring anything but groceries. The back patio, BBQ and firepit were amazing. I really enjoyed the steam shower too! Loved the trails, wildlife, views and weather! We can't to come back!
