Other reviews I read before our arrival did not adequately capture the beauty of the setting around the Ojos Verdes house. The house is nestled in the foothills on the northeast side of town. Sunsets, yes, but also all walks and drives to the house, around the house, and leaving the house give you breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. A truly awesome set of views, combined with the brilliant skies and sunshine of Arizona and its dry refreshing air provides a very relaxing respite for those coming from parts east and south. Our family of midwesterners, aged from 9 mos. to 60 loved every minute of our time there. The house is perfectly comfortable and well-outfitted for such a respite. We rent on VRBO all the time, and this is one of our top experiences.

I had an exceptional stay at the Casa. Bizzy and Jeff were very accommodating and I felt completely at home. My parents stayed with me for one week and they loved it so much that they can not wait to come back. The photos do not do the place justice! The property was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. The location was fantastic with amazing views of the mountains. I ended up booking 2 separate stays at the casa. Both were great. I am looking forward to coming back here as much as possible, it books up fast so I am trying to book well in advance. Thanks for a great stay Bizzy and Jeff!

It was our good fortune to stay at Casa Ojos Verdes for the month of March 2012. What a wonderful property on one acre with abudndant desert landscaping, terrific view from the back patio of sunsets, night skies and the Tucson and Catalina mountains. We even saw a colorful hot air balloon on morning fllying overhead. The home was well-appointed with everything supplied for our use down to paper towels. The kitchen had every utensil, cookware galore, and small appliances. we especially enjoyed the new LG washer and dryer which made laundry not seem like a chore at all. We went sightseeing, played golf, went to galleries, restaurants, desert museums and parks and walked the Rillito River Trail nearby every other day with our dog to view the mountains up close. We would certainly recommend a stay here at the COV home and hope to visit again in the future.

This home is just as advertised. It was well stocked when we arrived. The location is awesome in that it looks over a wash so you are not looking right at a neighboring home. Stores and restaurants are all nearby. We especially enjoyed taking our dog to the River Walk each morning. The nearby park on the walk was super easy to access. There were a couple minor things not working properly when we arrived. We only told Bizzy about it as a "heads up" but she took them more seriously and had them repaired right away. I was impressed at how responsive she was. Do not take this as the home being in poor repair. Just the opposite is true! Her attention to detail ensures everything is well maintained. The home is well setup for 6 with the exception of patio furniture. January is not prime time for sitting on the patio but in March it would be nice to have more chairs. We left at the end of February so it was not a big issue for us. We only had one car but when friends visited, there was plenty of parking available. I would not hesitate recommending this VRBO home to anyone wanting to visit Tucson.

Owner response: It was wonderful to have you as guests in our vacation home. Your feedback helps us to make the home even better for future guests. We have added an outdoor patio set/table and chairs for 4, plus an umbrella. Thanks for your 5 star review. We would love to have you back any time. All our best, Bizzy & Jeff

Comfortable home in quiet and attractive neighborhood. Close to the best of Tucson (shopping, restaurants, tourist attractions, hiking, and golf). The home was clean and well equipped. We stayed here the month of December 2011, and the owners had put touches of Christmas in every room. What a delightful surprise! Ojos de Verde is not in a resort setting, but it's charm lies in being a quiet refuge after a busy day.

My family shared this beautiful home in July 2011 after recently moving to Tucson. The home itself is well-appointed, ideally situated with beautiful desert and city views, and convenient to all that Tucson has to offer. Great restaurants nearby, but a short drive gets you into the heart of town. Foothills location is ideal! The home itself has three very large and comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, huge laundry room with newer front-loading washer/dryer, a "cook's kitchen" where we enjoyed preparing meals, dining room, family room with WIFI, cable, DVD player, etc. Backyard is beautifully landscaped with desert plants, and west-facing orientation gives you a front row seat for enjoying the sunset! There is also a nice gas BBQ, sun-shading curtain and plenty of outdoor furniture for enjoying the beautiful Tucson sunsets. Bottom line: if you're looking for a spacious and comfortable home with an ideal Tucson location, then look no further than this property!

After two months of avoiding winter we decided to extend our stay in Tucson for an extra month but wanted to try another area of the city and find a property with views. This was a great find. Spacious, immaculate, with all the amenities we'd find in our own home. Comfortable beds, in all the rooms (as attested to by our guests) Well equipped kitchen encouraged us to cook (there was even plastic storage containers for leftovers). The patio was a great space to enjoy morning coffee and watch the spectacular Tucson sunsets. The home is about a mile from the city bike path and a short drive to restaurants and groceries. Bizzy and Jeff were great hosts and ambassadors for the city. We have booked to come back.

We were fortunate to locate this nicely appointed 3 bedroom home backing to an open space. Not only was the home comfortable and meeting our every expectation but each morning the quail would visit the patio. These visits became the focus of our morning; everyone was up and at the window to view the birds. We would go back in a heart-beat.

We are concluding our eight week stay at Casa Ojos Verdes. We have stayed in VRBO’s in Spain, Oregon, New Mexico, Mexico, Canada and New Orleans. None of them has topped this Tucson gem. Here are some reasons why: 1. The location is excellent for a Tucson stay. Not too far from downtown, five minutes from Sabino canyon, two minutes to a small shopping area with a couple of nice restaurants, and less than five minutes from another shopping area with a Safeway store, hardware, bike shop etc. 2. The house is in really good condition. Previous renters have obviously treated it very well and Bizzy and Jeff have ensured that it remains that way. Also, the yard is a very attractive SW desert setting overlooking the city and with views of the Tucson, Catalina and Rincon mountains. Absolutely fabulous sunsets from the southwest facing windows and the covered patio, rivaling any I have seen anywhere! 3. The neighborhood is also very nice. Neighbors are friendly and quiet and the homes and streets are very well maintained. 4. The area is very safe. We saw nothing out of place. 5. The owners respond immediately to any requests, problems or issues which might arise. As an example, while we were here Tucson experienced a freak cold spell that caused water problems (frozen pipes) for thousands in the area. Some folks were without water for days. Due to an oversight by a contractor who did a recent upgrade to the landscaping, exposed water pipes at the house froze. Somehow, while all those other folks were desperately seeking help, Bizzy was able to get a plumber to the house within one hour!!! That in itself speaks to ability and responsiveness. 6. The house layout is also very nice if you have some visitors. Master suite and bathroom on one side and two bedrooms and a full bath on the other side. Plus the beds are comfy. 7. If you are a road cyclist, this is a near perfect location for rides in the Catalina Foothills (out the front door), access to Mt Lemon and for longer rides pretty good access to the excellent loop in Saguaro National Park (east division). Ride over there or take the bike in the car and start at the entrance gate. One of the best 8 mile loops I have ever done (plus 27 miles if you leave from the house). Feeling fit? Ride from the house, do two loops and ride back for a half century. 8. In this exceptionally pet friendly house, our dogs enjoyed the house and yard as much as we did.

We loved staying in this home, the it was quite a wonderful experience. The views were amazing and the home was warm and inviting. We really loved the way it was furnished and the owners even provided special touches like having some coffee for us when we arrived. We have rented condos and homes around the world, and this one was on the top of the list. Our thanks go to Orr Properties!

I stayed at Casa Ojos Verde during the summer of 2010 while I was in Tucson for some temporary military duty. The house is very comfortable, with modern furniture, appliances, dishware, bedding, towels etc.... This house has newly remodeled bathrooms and kitchen. The owners were very helpful, and were availble if anything were needed with the house. House was cleaned every 2 weeks by a professional maid service. Overall, I would highly recommend Casa Ojos Verde for an extened stay in Tucson. P.S. The owners were also very friendly with military guests. Why stay at a hotel, when you can stay at a 3 bedroom house at NO extra cost to you?!?!?

While we have not stayed here yet, I flew to Tuscon, personally viewed the property, and met with the owners. It is a beautifully redone house in a great location! More importantly, the owners have been very accommodating and have been patient with the numerous questions I have asked. I also met some of the neighbors who were very friendly. My wife and I are anxiously looking forward to our stay next winter.

We moved to Tucson after being overseas for 6 years, and stayed at Casa Ojos Verde (COV) for 4 1/2 months while we searched for and purchased our new home. We so enjoyed COV; the location is perfect, it is beautifully appointed, has wonderful views and and a back patio that takes advantage of them. The photos are accurate but don't convey the clean, well maintained sophistication of this property. My husband wanted to buy COV and stay there forever! We had our adult children and grand kids come to visit twice; this house easily accommodated all of us! We loved the kitchen so much that we copied some of the elements into our new home. The owners are helpful and very responsive. It is an easy drive to all local attractions (Sabino Canyon, Gates Pass, Davis Monthan, great malls and wonderful restaurants). We will recommend COV to our friends and relatives when they come to visit!
