This wonderful little gem is nestled between the wonderful sea side resort of Ballybunion and the charming village of Asdee Co. Kerry. The Beale school house has been excellently restored to its original beauty. All the bedrooms are en-suite and the house has all modern facilities. The cottage overlooks beautiful sand dunes and in the distance Co. Clare.
This cottage is an excellent location for golfers. You can practice those all so difficult bunker shots on the 3 mile beach just a stones throw away - before going to tee off at Ballybunion Links Course, one of the best known golf courses in the world. This is truly a magnificent course. American and European presidents, world golf champions and local connoisseurs have all played at this beautiful venue. In 2000 it was host to the Irish open and in 2004 The Palmer Cup. If Links courses are not to your liking try The Adare Manor parkland course, host to the 2007 Irish open is not that far away either.
County Kerry is situated on the south-west coast of Ireland. Kerry has three peninsulas which stretch out into the Atlantic Ocean. It has the largest mountains in Ireland with many beautiful lakes and streams.
If you want to take a break from golf for a day the fishing town of Dingle is a must . Also the ancient town of Killarney with its old castles and national park is certainly worth a day trip.
You can wine and dine at some of the best seafood restaurants in the area.
Beale school house is a magnificent base not just for golfing but for an adventure around the rural south west of Ireland and a beautiful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Wonderful cottage, great value for a wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage- the bedrooms and bathrooms were all very modern and comfortable, great location for touring County Kerry and County Clare, near the Ballybunnion Golf Course where my the boys played two days of golf while the girls had a wonderful time horseback riding on the beach!!! We ate at Harty Costells's and McMunn's and traveled on day trips to Dingle, Ring of Kerry, etc. The house was loaded with conveniences, very comfortable stay!! The golf course is rated one of the best and we enjoyed playing both the old course and the new course, very challenging courses, with beautiful beachside dunes.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Stayed for a week seeing the west. The property is immaculate and it is within an easy drive to the shore. Ballybunion is a nice little town with everything you need. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.
