We invite you to consider a perfect, cozy get-a-way, a 2.5 hour drive from New York City in a 250 year-old charming, very old-fashioned cabin, tucked away in the Berkshires, across the road from the river with a swimming hole to refresh in (in the summer...).
The house has 2 full bedrooms plus two lofts above each bedroom, in total sleeping up to 10 people. There are 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a sitting room, a screened in porch in the front of the house and a big deck in the back. There is a lovely lawn with a tandem swing. Think small reunions or friend getaways, or family or couple retreats!
Mill River, a tiny historic village, celebrating 250 years is surrounded by mountainous beauty, tag sales galore, the very talented Shakespeare Company, tons of antiquing in the Berkshires, Appalachian trails with stunning hikes and biking trails, rivers, lakes, farms, snowy mountains with excellent skiing (Butternut Ski is just a 15 minute ride away) and snow shoeing in the winter time, and just so much nature! There is horseback riding in the Berkshires, Tanglewood (classical music in the summer) and Jacob's Pillow (dance) as well as many fine restaurants and casual dining, just a short drive away, all year round. A little further away (less than an hour) are other ski areas: Jimmy Peak and Catamont. There is a general store around the corner, a public library across the bridge (providing free wi-fi to this property) and a waterfall with another swimming hole within walking distance. You can go to the General Store for breakfast, coffee and muffins, lunch and everything you might have forgotten..
Let us share this beautiful space with you. Weekends are $500 and weeks are $1000. Rates can be negotiated depending on extended times.

My very good friend owns this beautiful, quaint cabin alongside the river in Mill River, in the heart of the stupendous Berkshires. She owns this home and another home, but this one is just sitting there, waiting for guests to love it the way I do! With two proper bedrooms and 2 enormous lofts and a sofa bed, this adorable place sleeps up to 10 people. I'm just imagining the day I can get 9 of my friends all together for a weekend getaway by the river with a fireplace, board games, a lovely walk alongside the river in the woods... Just imagine all of the fireside chats and hot tea you could be sharing with your lovelies :) I'm taking it upon myself to help out my friend by exposing this coziness to the world (for very good rates). This is a photo of the owner of this very wonderful place. Indulge!
Why the Owner Chose Mill River
My friend pictured used to live here. This was her abode for many years after living in New York City and needing a quiet, lovely place to retire. She has been renting it here and there as she has her other home further into the Berkshires, closer to her friends.
