If you are planning on camping in Costa Rica, this private Costa Rica cabin and tent camping spot is surrounded by a rain forest nature preserve and yet is only a 15- minute walk to the beach and a 35-minute walk to the town of Dominical. The large platform supports a 14 X 20-foot tent and kitchen area. It also has a bathroom with heated shower, toilet and sink. We are currently building a cabin and garage on the site that will make it a perfect place for families, couples or a small group.
The entire huge 14X20 tent platform is covered by a roof, so camping is comfortable year-round. It is possible to have a heavy thunderstorm and still be cooking dinner! The roof also provides great shade, and the breezes flowing in from the mountains and ocean keep you comfortable even on the warmest days.
10% of proceeds from "Canopy Vista" are donated to the charitable non-profit, Earth Preservation and Human Relief Funds.

Year Purchased: 2006
Hi! I'm KC, an entrepreneur and environmentalist. I live mostly in Evergreen, Colorado, where I run my real estate buyer agent referrals business. I hope to "snowbird" it down to my properties in Costa Rica in a few years when my sons leave home to go to college. In the meantime, I’d like to share Canopy Vista with others while raising funds for the “Earth Preservation and Human Relief Funds” charitable non-profit. I bought this 5 acre lot and built my tent platform here in the Rainforest Preserve in 2006. The 7 other homeowners have similar values of enjoying and preserving nature. We have a Yoga retreat at the preserve, which will become a wonderful amenity once we can plan retreats in a few years. I’m a bonified "tree hugger”, and also have a reforestation farm about 40 minutes from this tent platform in Tres Piedras, Costa Rica.
Why the Owner Chose Dominical
The Rainforest preserve is adjacent to thousands of other acres of jungle, and is part of a huge biological corridor. I bought this place because Dominical is the gateway to the Osa Peninsula. The Osa is a protected national park, and is home to some of the most diverse wildlife left on the planet.

My partner and I love the tranquility of hearing the birds and wildlife all around when we wake up in the morning. We love the bird watching, & easy access to the beach and Dominical, ocean, river and mangrove excursions, and the Osa.
