Living Room, Dining Room have sliders to oversized South facing deck with furniture for relaxing and grilling/eating outdoors. Private community location makes for a quiet& relaxing feel. If the temp heats up just turn on the Central Air/fans or use the included beach pass to enjoy the beautiful local beaches just minutes from the house(@3 mi). Follow your beach time with an outdoor shower under a canopy of trees.
A multitude of dining & shopping options are available & nearby. Rent a boat at the marina, go fishing or use our canoe to paddle around Ninigret Pond. Wildlife abounds & you are right next to wildlife conservancy. Ninigret Park with multiple tennis courts, basketball & playing fields, fresh water swimming, walking trails as well as public boat launch is a short bike ride away. If golf is what you enjoy, there are many public courses nearby. See a Sox game in Boston (1 1/2 hr.drive) or head to Newport (40 min drive N) for a mansion tour or a sailing tour of the Bay or the light houses. Maybe Mystic Aquarium & it's Seaport (30 min- S) appeals. Local boutiques & antique shops abound or head to Providence Mall(40 min)and stop at Roger Williams Zoo. A fun day for all. Bloc Island is a fun day trip via the Point Judith Ferry. The carousel in Watch Hill with its shops & restaurants attracts many a visitor Foxwoods Casino with its reastaurants and shows is only 25 mins. away. There really is something for everyone. .

Why the Owner Chose Charlestown
Being on Ninigret pond, whether it was watching the swans & their young or teaching one of the kids to water ski or tube was such a special time for us that we wanted to come back year after year. There is always something to do, rain or shine & it was such a relaxing way to all be together.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Learning to fish off the Breachway provided lots of fun as did trying our hands at kayaking which is a great way to see the pond. Family tennis games and just sitting at the beach or relaxing on our deck provided many hours of fun. Lobster races on the deck began many a meal over the years.
Ball fields, plenty of tennis courts,walking trails and fresh water pond for swimming. Also location of Big Apple Circus in July and Seafood Fest in August as well as Rythym & Roots Festival.,

My family has moved to various states over the years but this house has always felt like home to all of us. It is particularly exciting for us that we are now sharing our love of this beautiful place with yet another generation...our grandchildren who love the fish, crabs & the water as much as we do. Since weve taken up golf we are also enjoying many courses here.

The house has three seperate sections so no one feels cramped. The deck was great for evening cocktails and dinner. The kitchen/livingroom was perfect for everyone to relax.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.

We loved the area and this home! We felt so comfortable there with our daughter, son-in-law. and their children ages 3 and 6. There were many wonderful ammenities, plus the beauty of a great house that felt like "home".The owners were so great to work with also. They made us feel so welcome there. The location to the pond, beaches, and Ninigret Park is such a bonus. Our RI family loved their family visits there as well. We hope to return there in the years to come. Thank you McDonnells!!!
