The vineyards are some of the best in the US and similar to southern France. Arizona Vineyards is a popular roadside attraction in Nogales on the way to Mexico. Located less than one hour from the resort, the wines are unique and have classic Southwestern names such as Rattlesnake Red, Desert Dust and Coyote Red. (520) 287-7972.

Blake Brophy established their first experimental vineyard in 1973. They found that the high altitude (5,000 feet) soil is nearly identical to the soils of Burgundy, France. The 20-acre vineyard now produces over 10,000 gallons per year. Their 1986 Cabernet Sauvignon had the distinction of being served at the White House. The winery is open 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., seven days a week. (520) 455-5893.

There are lots of things to do all year around. The state and national parks are wonderful to visit to see the early history of the area when the Spanish first came. Jaun Baptista de Anza came here on October 1775 and is very famous. The Titan Missile Museum, Old Historic Towns and Villages and Bars of Rural Arizona. Has ten nearby golf courses. At the first Friday of the month, there are art walks in Tubac and most of the time there is live music in the square. Why the Owner Chose Tubac:
I built this home originally for myself, but since it only has only a 2 car garage, I decided on building another one that has a 3 car garage. I live in this same area as I enjoy star gazing and bird watching and walking in the wilderness. It is close to Madera Canyon where there are pine trees. The evenings always have a nice, gentle breeze and you can look forward to sunny, pristine skies that are some common in Arizona. I love the birdwatching from almost every window in the house.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
If you like to see the stars that are visible from the dark, clear skies of this area, this is the area for you. There are also a lot of wild life in the area and there is the faint sound of an occasional train in the valley below. The Tumaccari Mountains and Elephant Rock can been seen from this location and the sunsets and sunrises are superior. Tubac has a unique feel to it with rich culture of Spain, Mexico and Arizona and it has many fun and historical places. There is a festival of the lights Dec 4-6th and an art walk on that Friday.
