Just over 50 years ago when Round Hill was an undeveloped, lush jungle rising over the sea, one man had the good fortune and discernment to select the most treasured lot of all. This priceless piece of land, which was favored by the sun and prevailing trade winds, also featured one of the most spectacular views in all of the Caribbean.
The home was built with a vision of joyful family gatherings, romantic getaways and friends celebrating the complete vacation experience. Thus, Hillside was born. The result is a home privately tucked into the east side of Round Hill yet minutes from the amenities of the famous resort.
The large living room opens to a spacious veranda overlooking the pool and ten-mile stretch of sea that separates Round Hill from the town of Montego Bay. Each night the lights of Montego Bay dance across the water, forming part of the magic of Hillside.
Candlelight dinners are served in the outdoor dining arbor adjacent to the lighted garden. Later, Stanley, the butler, serves coffee and after-dinner drinks on the veranda, giving guests another experience of the mesmerizing view and ocean breezes before retiring.
Hillside Cottage boasts one of the finest staffs on the North Coast of Jamaica. Fay, the cook, has been here for 13 years and is gifted with talents that rival the island's finest chefs. Hillside's Butler, Stanley, has been with the house for over 25 years, serves meals and drives guests on desired excursions. The Housekeeper, Sheila, performs daily maid service and decorates with fresh tropical flowers. The laundress, Ruth, washes clothes and towels daily, and the gardener, Melton maintains the pool and grounds in immaculate condition.
The Round Hill beach and hotel are a short walk down the tree-lined lane, just outside Hillside's door. The hotel offers free tram service for the one-minute ride to the beach. Hillside renters enjoy the security and full amenities offered by Round Hill Resort as well as the complete privacy of their own fully staffed villa.
Hillside Cottage has full membership at Round Hill hotel and enjoys all of its amenities, including beach access. Hillside also enjoys membership at Tryall club for world-class golf only a short drive away. A private van and driver are available.

I had my wedding this past June at Hillside Cottage. Before we arrived the owners were patient and faithful in answering all of my questions as we prepared for our big day. My guests stayed at both Hillside and Seaside, and I could not have been more pleased with our experience. We held our ceremony out by the pool, and the staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The selection of appetizers that Faye created for us rivaled the dinners we had at the four star resort. She even created a wedding cake complete with a bride and groom sitting atop. Milton (the gardener) created gorgeous flower arrangements and two amazing arches. Stanley made sure that we had everything we might want from champagne service to cool dressing rooms. We wanted for nothing! This went on for the whole week. I have never eaten better in my life, nor treated with such courtesy and genuine care. We went on day trips to Montego Bay, Negril, and Dunns River Falls, but we could have been just as happy spending each and every day lying by the pool. Everyday we were greeted by gourmet fare, fresh flowers throughout the house, clean laundry and linens, and fresh beach towels and pool cushions. We had it all during our stay: a bachelor/bachelorette night, a formal wedding, young people having cocktails at the pool, and relaxing nights with my parents, and the staff was able to not just accommodate the needs for each occasion, but anticipate our every possible desire to make our vacation truly the most luxurious possible. And of course, one cannot forget the beauty that surrounds you during your stay. The sunrises and sunsets defined beauty, the beaches found nearby were some of the best in the world, and the weather was idyllic. The garden dining was tranquil, and the balcony that overlooked the sea was the perfect spot for relaxed conversations. The pool was large enough for everyone to float simultaneously in drowsy bliss, or house rousing games of beach ball. The rooms provided a cold oasis for sleeping or reading at night, and during the day, the staff would open the windows to let in the cool ocean breeze. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. I highly recommend Hillside Cottage, and I know that you will have the time of your life!

I have made this destination my first choice for many years. First with my fiancee and two other couples and now with my teenage kids. This classy yet comfortable home sits on one of the most spectacular view sites, romantic breezes, and complete with all the services of a multi millionaire: Chef, waiters, laundress, driver and daily house cleaning. Walk to Roundhill resort and luxuriate. You can't imagine how wonderful a time you will have. GO! TREAT YOURSELF TO THE BEST VACATION OF YOUR LIFE.
