Available beginning April 10th, 2011 you may rent Casa Susana (up to 8 people) for just $900/week! Way less than it would cost for a less-than wonderful hotel room, this is an opportunity to experience the tropical living that has brought so many to live in this growing area. Come for a week, come for a month (just $2500/mo during this time)... you may just stay forever.
Overlooking the new world-class Marina Nayarit and the Bay of Banderas beyond, with a sparkling private pool, swaying palms, ocean views, & vibrant Mexican decor, Casa Susana has been furnished and appointed especially for balmy laid-back vacations. The casa's unique location, just an easy stroll from the heart of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, makes it even more convenient and stress-free.
Enter Casa Susana's courtyard gate into a small garden with a king palm so giant that, at first glance, you may not even notice it towering above the casa!...Inside the house, a soaring ceiling draws your eye up to an incredible brick dome, and on into the colorful mango & spice decor of the great room. Whimsical Mexican art, and a stunning oversized blown glass chandelier in yet another ceiling dome lets you know you're definitely somewhere special!
The dining area features a beautiful solid travertine table with iron base & chairs. A rustic wooden armoire houses a TV/DVD player, the sectional sofa is large enough for everyone to get comfy for a movie. Sliding glass doors open up to a very convenient pool-side grill patio and the most frequented "room" in the casa: a palapa-fringed covered terrace where you can read, dine, play games, watch the pool action, succumb to a siesta, keep track on the boats coming into the marina, or just soak in the tropical nights with lights of the Bay of Banderas dancing all around!
There are three comfortable bedrooms, all air-conditioned, and each with a bath. The two master suites are roomy (one ha a king bed, the other has two full beds) & have terraceas. Upstairs, the terrace has awesome marina and ocean views! On the main level, glass doors open to the poolside terrace from the master. A third guest bedroom enjoys a view of the lush tropical plants in the entry courtyard garden through its' rounded window.
Casa Susana's kitchen is large and has everything you'll need! Small appliances, dishes, bake ware, linens, even the margarita glasses, a necessity here, of course!! Beyond the kitchen, you'll find a washer and dryer as well as a small open-air area with laundry sink (typical in Mexican houses.)
Four terrace areas ensure plenty of indoor/outdoor living (isn't it what we come for?!!) There are so many choices here... escape the heat under the tiny poolside palapa, socialize in the outdoor "living room", become the grillmeister with the morning's freshest-ever seafood purchase, sneak a siesta on the private upstairs terrace... or sunbathe on the lower terrace before descending the steps leading right down to the marina area! Small markets, a private sand beach, the wonderful malecon and its' magnificent La Cruz Yacht Club. Or just stroll along & fantasize about which of the giant yachts you would buy if only.....
You can depart on your deep-sea fishing and snorkeling charters right below the casa!
This quaint fishing village of la Cruz has retained its' charm and offers an authentic Mexican daily life experience along with your wonderful vacation! Shop with locals at the Wednesday market for your fresh veggies, pad into town daily to pick up fresh tortillas (still warm in their wrapper, yum!!), dine on superb street food or elegant cuisine, stroll the marina malecon with locals & vacationers alike, partake in the seemingly-constant local celebrations & festivals in the plaza, become a part of the energetic la Cruz music scene at night! Of course there is always the choice of just staying "at home" at Casa Susana; indeed ~ that is exactly what some of our guests choose to do!
