The Red House was originally the servants quarters for a lake side mansion. Completely rebuilt in 2005, this extremely private house sits on several acres of land just 300 yards from the fresh water of Lake George.
Perfect for either a weekend getaway, or a full week's vacation. The Red House is available anytime of the year. In the summer, enjoy the water, village, hiking, biking and the natural beauty that the Lake George area has to offer. Come in the Fall where the vibrant colors of the leaves will take your breath away. Take advantage of the lower rates and come in the winter where you are just a few miles away to fantastic alpine and cross-country skiing.

Oct-May .. $300/night (3 night min) or $1500/week
$300 reservation deposit required. Balance due 30 days prior to check in.
$75 cleaning fee
Dock rental available for boats 24 feet or smaller
Dock rental is $300 per week.
Pets considered. $100 per pet fee

Our family has had the pleasure of staying in this great house twice in the past 2 years and would love to come back! All the comforts of home, with more than enough room inside and out for 2 active children to roam safely. This superb location allows us to enjoy the nearby village of Lake George or head up the lake just a few miles to Bolton Landing. We liked the privacy that the surrounding property offers, along with the extremely close waterfront access to a gorgeous lake! We'll be back again next summer!

I've rented this property on several occasions, and love it! It's comfortable, homey, and clean. The setting is lovely, and the proximity to the Lake and Lake George Village make it ideal for my family. We can't wait until our next visit!

We are a family of four (with 2 small kids) and have stayed at The Red House a number of times both on season and off, and have had a marvelous experience. We've shared our stay with another family and the house fit us all comfortably. It is charming, with the feel of an "Adirondack Cottage" but with the amenities of a newer home. (New kitchen, big baths, good-sized bedrooms and closets, and a spacious screened in porch.) We love the location; it's private, yet accessible to everything in the area. The Meaders, who own and manage the property, are lovely people; accommodating and thoughtful. For the space, it's also extremely affordable compared to other rentals in the area. The Red House is like a little home away from home and will always be dear to our hearts. You will not be disappointed!

Our family and friends have rented this beautiful home for a week in July the past two years and absolutely love it. It's a quick walk down to the lake and a short drive (couple miles) into Lake George Village. The Meador family that owns the property are wonderful and very accommodating.
