My 6th floor, stunning, two-room designer apartment is air conditioned (a rarity in Paris apartments). Remodeled and renovated in 2009 under the supervision of the Italian architect Leoterio BERELLINI, this 30 square meter flat offers the warmth of wood and the modernity of the 21st century.
Upon entering the light rooms which feature blond solid oak parquet floor go directly to the PEDRALI round clear glass and chrome table, sit down on a Victoria ghost Philippe STARCK chair and look out the double glazed French window. Above the typical Paris tin roofing, you can see the Eiffel tower, from first level to the 324 m high top. Look to your right and you will see the trees of the “Jardin du Champs de Mars” and in the distance the “Sacré Coeur” of Montmartre.
From where you are you can see the functional kitchen with brushed inox countertops and sink, white lacquer cupboard doors hiding the under-the- counter refrigerator / freezer, white Limoges china, champagne glasses, shiny stainless steel steam cooker, spaghetti pot and coated fry pans. The induction stove and multi combination microwave oven, tea & espresso machine, toaster to cook a delicious breakfast and romantic and tasty meals.
On your left is a wooden desk with two drawers, a cordless telephone to make your free calls home or restaurant reservations…, the box with an unlimited high-speed internet connection. On the shelves are precious art books, a selection of handbooks to guide you as you discover the City of Light and live in Paris as a Parisian. The warm cherry wood paneling conceals a large wardrobe.
On the wall, lit by a Northern Lighting tripod lamp by Louis POULSEN, 19th century engravings show architectural details.
Behind the door is the bathroom, with pietra serena type floor, small light grey tile mosaic on the walls and inside the shower stall. Above the sink, a large triptych mirror conceals shelves, electric socket and blow-dryer. Under the sink and hanging on the door are Andre COUREGE towels and face mitts.
It is from the second room that you can truly appreciate the work of the Italian architect Leoterio BERELLINI. The design and layout will give you the impression of space. Nothing blocks your view to the end of the apartment, as perspective and fluidity hide the technical part of the kitchen. In the living room, there is an antique Louis XVI chest of drawers with marble top next to the Louis XV Carrara marble fireplace surmounted by a large mirror, Thanks to a dimmer, the 19th Century Japanese cloisonné lamp provides a warm light.
Sit on one of the two comfortable “modernized” Louis XV armchair, put down your drink on the mirror-polished stainless steel table designed by Maurizio PEREGALLI for ZEUS, to watch your choice of English speaking channels on the large flat screen TV. Or, under the Eileen GREY tube light, prepare your itinerary for the next day while listening to your favorite music on the stereo.
When you are tired, grab the chromed handle to open the queen size bed concealed behind the cherry wood paneling. Your bed is ready. You will appreciate the quality 100% cotton satin sheets and 100% latex mattress. From this cozy nest, admire the view out of the window and beyond the trees, the golden Invalides dome, which hosts Napoleon tomb.
From every French style window, you have an open view of the so typical elegant dressed stone buildings of Paris. This spectacular view (especially the Eiffel tower at night when the light display starts!) is one you will remember long after your stay.
You feel hungry? Go downstairs. It will not take more than a minute to find everything:camembert or any of the 500 French cheeses from the cheese shop , where the owner can advise you about what cheese is best for you, a “baguette” from the next-door baker, fresh fruits and veggies from a green grocer, meat from a butcher or seafood at the fishmonger or any groceries you need at the always open grocery store. Wine and liquor? “NICOLAS”, one of the best French wine stores, located just across the street will give you excellent advice on how to combine food and drinks. Or just pick one of the many restaurants in the neighborhood offering French and international cuisines.
To start your day, consider a walk to “Le village Suisse” This site, which has served as a center for antique dealers since 1900, currently features over 150 different merchants.
Museums within a 5-25 minute walk include: Rodin, Orsay, Branly, Grand Palais, Petit Palais, Palais de Tokyo, Orangerie, Jeu de Paume, Louvre, Maillol, Trocadéro
If you do not feel like walking or taking a bus or Paris’s historic Metro, rent a bike from the “Velib” station in front of the building. A two minute ride will bring you to the Invalides or Eiffel Tower where, if you were wise enough to make a reservation weeks ago, you could have an unforgettable meal at Alain DUCASSE’s Jules Vernes restaurant on the second floor of the tower. Or in five minutes, following in President OBAMA’ steps, you can experience “La fontaine de Mars”, a very old Parisian bistro, which specializes in hearty Southwestern cooking (foie gras, magret or confit de canard…). Should you wish to prepare your own meal, return three blocks to rue Cler, one of the best and most famous and vivid 3 or 4 pedestrian streets for food in Paris.
Back “home” why not relax at the corner Thai spa or beauty salon and finish your shopping at the two duty free shops… or select among the various neighboring French and exotic restaurants. The area is very safe and considered one of the best in Paris. Whether you are on vacation or on a business trip, it really is a spectacular sight to stroll or jog around the Champs de Mars and in one glance view Trocadero, Eiffel Tower and Ecole militaire.
Last but not least, this is a fantastic value when compared to staying at a three star hotel, not to mention having to get breakfast and meals at restaurants.

I wanted to take a moment to thank Didier for being a gracious host. My wife and I had a great time in this penthouse apartment this NYE. Although not large in sq footage, the place is much larger than an upgraded room at many hotels and the view of the tower is wonderful. There was plenty of space to roam when the murphy bead was tucked away in its closet. The bed was a queen but very comfortable. The location was fantastic and the apartment was nicely decorated and in great condition. The hall entrance could use updating but that is not to fault this property. Close to the action and all the amenities you would ever need. The restaurants below the apartment and down the street were great for lunches and snacks. The market is just below for wine, cheese and the croissants at the bakery were delicious. We highly recommend Carmine, it's Italian but one of the best things I ate during the trip was the bone marrow app there. Metro is a few blocks away but the walk is great, that's what you're there for. The only thing that needed attention were the bath and hand towels, a little scratchy. I am sure that was a rotation thing from the house cleaning crew. Highly recommended from the couple in Las Vegas!!!

Great apartment! Pictures are very accurate. Tastefully decorated, beautiful views and it was very clean and well maintained. This was our first time renting an apartment instead of going to a hotel, and we will for sure do it again. I would absolutely recommend this apartment. Didier was a pleasure to work with - very kind and helpful!

This property had an extremely good location. Minutes from the Metros and the Eiffel Tower. You can see the tower from the kitchen penthouse window. There are numerous restaurants, grocery stores, even a cheese shop just steps away. While we didn't do much cooking, the apartment had all the tools including a stove top with three burners. The bed was very comfortable and the size was perfect for the two of us. The building itself could use some work and I was worried on our way up. The apartment had been totally remodeled to include a rain shower in the bathroom. Double pane windows helped the noise considerably. Watching the Eiffel tower at night with the light show was an incredible treat. Very nice property and very clean.

Photos are completely accurate- the place actually feels bigger. Perfect for a couple. The building is quite (i only saw 1 tenant in 5 nights!) Building seems old, but the apartment is really modern and beautiful. Didier was great to deal with. He really loves this place, and it shows. It's clean, modern, and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. My wife love the hot shower! New windows keep it quite and comfortable. There's about 3 english tv channels, but who's going to Paris to watch tv?! Location is good for traveling around paris. The bus #69 starts 30 steps from the front door! (check out Rick Steves, paris book for Details) It's better than the subway and goes to most of the major touristy sites, and you can use subway tix on it. Also, 2 subway stops within 5/10 min walk Bir Hakem (sp?) and Champ de Mars, which makes getting all over the city much easier. Rue Cler is a nice 10/15 min walk, Eiffel tower twinkles in the kitchen window. Elevator is Tiny, but worked great. You do have to go up about 12 steps to get to it, but way better than the stairs. The bakery downstairs had ok esspresso coffees and good baked treats for breakfast. I would stay there again. Didn't really use the kitchen, but it was modern and nice. Internet worked fantastically. Phone to the US for free, worked and was another bonus. Between the extra room, the kitchen, internet, comfortable/clean bed, stereo, free phone, the views of the tower and monuments, and best of all a REAL QUITE NIGHT sleep-skip the hotel and book this place.

My husband and I spent a week in late September using this rental as our hopping-off point for daily excursions in Paris and Ile-de-France. This apartment met our needs perfectly -- stylish, convenient, and well-priced in a wonderful Parisian neighborhood. The apartment is even nicer in person than the lovely photos would suggest -- comfortable, sleek, and welcoming. You really can dine in the apartment with a stellar view of the Eiffel Tower. We had a tremendous stay and thank Didier, the owner, for making this rental experience so easy and pleasant. We look forward to renting this apartment for our next trip to Paris.

Arrived and stayed a stones throw away from the Eifel Tower. Literally out the dining nook the tower was present. The apartment was immaculate, equipped with all the necessities for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Didier, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with, very informative, very helpful and always willing to go the extra step to ensure satisfaction. The pictures were a good depiction of the apartment but we felt the apartment appeared larger in person. Location was outstanding for us. Right downstairs was our bakery, cheese store, wine shop, butcher shop, supermarket and around the corner a beautiful wellness spa. Walk a few blocks in either direction and you can catch the metro, the RER or a bus or two that take you all through Paris. A couple of finds in the neighborhood are a small branch of Poilane Bakery (must try their cookies!) near the metro station on Grenelle Boulevard and a wonderful Restaurant for dinner on Avenue Bosquet called 7e Vin everything is delectable. The staff is great. We would recommend the apartment to couples who want to experience what living in Paris feels like when it is done correctly. We recommend this very highly; a great experience.

We were very glad that we had chosen this apartment. We have had a very enjoyable stay there and experienced a true Parisian style of living, though short. The apartment was exactly like what the photos have shown and in very good condition, equipped with everything we needed. The owner was very kind and detail-minded, and we have encountered no problem at all during our stay. The view from the apartment was absolutely stunning. The apartment was in an accessible location, walkable distance to metro/public transportation. Shops, restaurants and supermarket were all nearby. We would like to thank Didier the owner again, whom has made our Paris trip even more unforgettable, by offering us this nice apartment! Surely we will come again in the very future. We will recommend this apartment to our friends without reservation (in fact we have already done so!).

My husband and I stayed here for five days in June. It fit all our needs perfectly. We made espresso in the morning, ate crossiant for breakfast from the bakery below, and sat in the lawn in front of the Eiffel Tower at night. We went to the markets and made dinner with our finds in the kitchen. It was also a short walk to two great farmers markets, and lots of tourist attractions. All the pictures accurately display the apartment. My only complaint is that the only English television stations are news channels - while it is great to hear the news, it would be nice to have another choice. Overall - this is a great value in a great location for having a local, Parisian experience. Highly recommend.

My companion and I had everything we needed for our five-night stay in this clean and ideally located apartment. The view out the windows was marvelous as we watched Parisians live their daily life. The shops on the block provided fresh fruits, breads and pasteries, meats, cheese, plus brasseries plus laundry and grocery. The bed was comfortable and we slept well with no city noise. Amazing. Close to public transportation, Rue Cler, and of course, the Eiffel Tower!

Upon entry you are welcomed into the parsian world, the pictures are perfect representations of the apartment, it is definetly as described. This was our first trip to Paris and we wanted to be close to the Effiel Tower with a view & what a view! For an experience to appreciate the city more from a local point of view this is definetely the way to go. The apartment is very quaint, is kept very clean & the bathroom has a rainshower style shower that is great. There is a stereo that we enjoyed listening to French music on which helped to enhance the Paris experience. The convience of having a kitchen + eating area is very nice. The coffee maker provided makes GREAT coffee, which we enjoyed every morning. Imagine drinking your morning coffee or eating dinner while gazing at the Tower, well we don't have to imagine because this apartment allows you do that, pretty incredible. Just having the view is worth it, plus all the added other bonuses of being in the heart of Paris! Downstairs just steps away are many amenities which helps in keeping costs down from dining out. There's a few markets to pick up groceries, a local Patissiere to pick up bread + pastries (try the croissants & the pain au chocolate, so flaky & delicious, they make great bagette sandwiches too) & a great wine store across the street called Nicolas where the wine merchant is very helpful. Rue de Cler is only a 10-15 minute walk across the park for more markets, cafes; there is a fish store, Chocolatier + Fromagerie (called La Fromagerie de Grenelle-again where they were very helpful with selections) & so much more. One of our favorite things to do at night was take our blanket & walk across to Champs de Mars Park only a 3 minute walk & enjoy a bottle of wine or Champagne & watch the Eiffel Tower light show at night, something we'll never forget. The Metro is minutes away by the Seine; but you need only walk 10 to 15 minutes to be at Invalides, Rodin Musee, Rue de Cler or 20 minutes to the Musee de Orsay and Luxenburg Gardens. During a hot spell while we were there, the air conditioning worked great, it would cool the whole apartment very quickly. Didier was only a phone call away or he would reply to emails promptly with answers to our questions. He was there to greet us and explain everything about the apartment or any other questions; I would recommend his apartment to friends and family. We looked at a lot of properties on VRBO and we are very pleased with this little piece of Paris.
