You're coming all the way to Telluride ... why not let us spoil you? This new (2008) luxury residence is in the heart of town -- the 'Depot' area -- just steps from the gondola and ski slopes. This elegant and sophisticated three-bedroom town home lives and feels like a single-family residence and offers wonderful views, open living spaces, south-facing deck, quality custom construction and high-end finishes and fixtures throughout. Part of a complex, the South Residence offers primary access off the alley just south of West Pacific Ave. An open kitchen and living area with high vaulted ceilings, gas fireplace and large south-facing deck with gas grill and outdoor seating and wonderful views occupies the entire second floor. The master suite, mudroom and entry are on the main level, and two guest rooms (each with its own full bath) share the entire lower level. The top floor houses a large loft with full queen sofa bed and TV/DVD. The loft area is also served by a full bath off of the kitchen. 2,000 sq. ft.

Just spent 5 wonderful days in this beautiful home. A group of friends and I went to Telluride to attend a wedding on the slopes. The location of this home was absolutely perfect! It was close to all of the restaurants and shops in town. It was also a quick walk to the gondola, no matter what footwear you choose. (Ski boots to attend the wedding at the top of the Prospect Bowl lift, heels for the reception at the amazing Allred's.) Charlie & Meredith provide all of amenities that you will need, and are in constant communication if you need anything leading up to staying in the home. Amy, who looks after the house, was warm, friendly and had lots of great suggestions for enjoying Telluride. The house is comfortable and cozy, yet spacious enough to give everyone their privacy. And the steam shower in the master bathroom is the best after a long day skiing! We LOVED staying here! Every bed was so comfortable, even the couch pull-out. The owners definitely thought of everything that you could need, and went over & beyond to give the perfect balance of comfort like home & the hospitality of a hotel.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Myself and three buddies just spent a few days skiing and stayed at this property. It looked like a model home. I've stayed at several places in Telluride, including Mountain Village, and this ranked at the top. Very close to the Gondola and downtown restaurants and shops. Couldn't have been better. The owners take great care to make sure everything is perfect and it was. We will definitely return! Just returned from at great ski week at Telluride and we were very pleased with our stay at this property. We love staying in the town vs the mountain village and this is such a great location, about a block from the gondola and within walking distance of all the shops and restraurants. The home is beautifully decorated and the kitchen has everything you need (including spices) if you want to stay in one night and cook. Charlie, the owner, is great to work with and even called after we got there to make sure everything was going good. Amy, the caretaker, was very helpful, too. We definitely want to stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Just returned from Super Bowl Weekend in Telluride. I cannot say enough good things about Charlie and Meredith's home on Pacific in the heart of town. The house is more like a hotel than a private home. No detail is missed, down to having logo'd soaps and custom house keys for the unit. Charlie, owner, is a great host and went out of his way to call me during the stay to make sure everything was fine. Their inkeeper, Amy, even met me with a warm hot chocolate when I arrived! That's better service than I got from the Fairmont in Mountain Village! The rooms are nicely appointed and the living room has a very comfy couch. There's wifi and an apple tv. Viking appliances. Radiant Heated floors. The BEST steam shower. And SO close to the Gondola. It's a perfect location. A slight bit of warning, I'd say that this house is not suitable for anyone with serious mobility problems. The house is very vertical, spanning 4 floors. Anyone that has problems climbing stairs, especially at that altitude, may want to consider a flatter unit. Other than that, it's pretty much the perfect location, the perfect house, and the perfect hosts. This is a fabulous property! Great location, beautifully appointed, well-designed--will meet the needs of the most discriminating traveler! Would highly recommend this property and would love to return for another stay. The owner and the house manager were very helpful. The photos are very accurate and provide a nice introduction to this well maintained home. When you say close to gondola and downtown you meant it. What a treat. . The place was perfect for the 8 of us, extremely comfortable. Your manager Amy was "Johnny on the spot". Fortunately we didn't have any problems but know she would have been there if needed. Thanks again Charley for sharing your place with us. My family and I stayed here and absolutely loved it. The house is super comfortable and clean. The location is amazing, we didnt have to drive anywhere. The location for attending Blues and Brews was perfect and also for walking around downtown. Nice view off of the balcony of the gondola and hillside and trees which were turning golden for the fall. So much space in the home and the beautifully decorated and well appointed kitchen made it enjoyable to be there just like being at home. Charlie the owner was very friendly and easy to work with.The whole experience was very easy, safe and enjoyable.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Our family fell in love with Telluride in 1999. We've returned every year, renting all over town and in Mountain Village. When we decided to own a home in this very cool town, we limited our search to locations very close to the two centers of activity -- the gondola base and Main Street in Telluride.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Gondola District:
We wanted a home with top-quality finishes and a 1-min. walk either to the gondola and Lift #8, or to the shops and restaurants on Main Street. We found just that at 408 Pacific in Telluride. Voila -- welcome to our home in paradise!
