Year Purchased: 2009
Why the Owner Chose HighlandsWe always wanted a house in the Colorado Rockies. Breckenridge is so convenient to get to and it has a lot to offer. It is a wonderful small mountain town with great restaurants and of course, great skiing! And there is so much to do in the summer too. We also like the fact that it's so close to Keystone, Copper, A-basin, and even Vail and Beaver Creek.
The Unique Benefits at this HouseWe just purchased the house in fall of 2009. It has all new furniture and equipment. The kitchen is truly state of the art with top of the line appliances. The house is in an upscale and quiet neighborhood less than 5 minutes to the gondola and town. We have fun games in the 2nd family room area - foosball and 9 ft. shuffleboard.
Owner's Map of Highlands
Hi! My name is Orion. I am a Rhodesian Ridgeback and the real owner of this house. Vince and Kristina might tell you otherwise but that's OK. We all come from Littleton, CO to spend time in the house together. Vince is originally from NJ and Kristina is from Europe. After much moving around the world we are happy to claim Colorado as our home. Vince and Kristina love traveling back to Europe and all the other continents as well. They really enjoyed their trips to Africa and I guess that's why they decided to get me, a Ridgeback, the lion hunter. It's a bit cold for me in CO but I am well taken care of and have several coats and boots so I can enjoy the snow. My favorite spot in the winter is in front of the fireplace. There are several in our house which makes me happy. I am sure it will become your favorite spot too.

We just spent a fabulous week at this great house!! It felt like home away from home. Close to the Breckenridge slopes and golf course, which provided a great opportunity for walking each day. The house was everything described and more. The kitchen was fully equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, so we were able to easily prepare meals at home. Close to shopping areas and great restaurants. The owners are wonderful to work with. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back again!!

A group of 12 of us stayed there and were in absolute awe of the place. We had a great time going skiing, hitting the hot tub, cooking in the kitchen and warming up by the fire. Great for such a big group. I've never been in such a beautiful house and hope to come back again!

My friends and I just stayed at this gorgeous home for a full week. There were 10 of us and more than enough room. The house was fully furnished and we felt right at home. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a hard day at the slopes, which are not far from the house at all. Overall very enjoyable stay and we hope to return next year.

Unlike our previous rental experiences at Breck, this house has a ton of space to spread out - every room is very large and tastefully furnished. Even the houses in the neighborhood have a lot of space between them. The electronics, furniture and appliances are all high quality - we really appreciated the wireless internet. We'll be back again soon - thanks for a wonderful stay!

We recently rented this home for a snowshoeing event that we attend every year, and it was PERFECT! The homeowners are friendly and easy to work with, and provided amazing hospitality with the use of their vacation home. The rental is beautifully appointed, with personal touches throughout the house to make you feel at home. Dog dishes, treats, and an acre to romp around even made our dogs feel at home! The kitchen offers a bit of convenient luxury, although it made it hard to go back to my kitchen at home! The bedrooms are spacious, with very comfortable beds and linens. Everything in the house is clean and well-appointed, and there was tons of space for our group to spread out and relax comfortably. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, we hope to return again soon!

Wonderful Weekend

We had such a wonderful weekend at this lovely mountain home. There were quite a few of us (10) and there was no shortage of room or crowed feelings anywhere. I so enjoyed the totally stocked kitchen. Many times when you are at vacation homes, they are lacking in items for all of the cooking needs, not at this home. We were able to make great meals and lacked nothing when we went looking for a pan or dish for some extra need we found. We had infants in the group and there wasn't any problem with noise carrying over to different areas if others were enjoying some activity elsewhere in the home at bedtime or nap time. Just a wonderful experience all the way around. We hope to be able to stay here again! We were in the mtns. for a charity event we attend every year and it was a very convenient location for all of us. Some went skiing, some snowshoed and some just relaxed for the weekend. Loved it!

My wife, myself and 6 of our friends stayed at the property in early April. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house was beautifully maintained with luxurious furnishings. The master bedroom was huge and the master bath was awesome with a huge walk-in shower! We used the hot tub every night. It even snowed a few times we were in it which made it all the better. The location was great as it was less than 2 miles from downtown Breckenridge. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying here the next time we visit. I would recommend this property to everyone thinking about visiting Breckenridge!

This was the nicest house we ever stayed in. Itβs even better than the pictures. It's very spacious and nicely decorated. Everything is new. The location is awesome -very close to downtown and the ski area. I was surprised how great the kitchen was, tons of dishes, utensils, etc. and even sharp chef knifes. Nice comfy bedding and mattresses and the blackout shades in every bedroom allowed us to sleep in with the bright mountain sun waking us up too early. No detail missed. The owners are super easy to deal with. Our deposit was returned very quickly.

I've stayed in a number of winter homes in Colorado during the ski season but this one tops them all! Myself and the group I was with didn't even want to leave the house because it was so nice! Lots of space for everyone to sleep comfortably, beautiful views, close to Breck and simply an excellent place to enjoy a vacation. I plan on renting again in the summer, the golf course is right there!
