This home is a great gathering place for the upscale traveler. It is definitely not suitable for party animals, as it is a peaceful place to unwind, relax, and have a pampering getaway and we DO charge for damages. If you are planning on partying all hours, please do not inquire. Also, due to the floorplan of the home and the different levels, we do not recommend handicapped or crawling babies as a safety precaution. You are welcome to stay, we just want to give you advance notice.

We loved our stay everything was great. All beds were comfortable, we were attending a wedding and wanted a place where everyone can stay and this house offered that. Loved it.

I would recommend this place for 3 single adults or two couples who want a base camp for a big wine tasting trip. You can cook some meals in the nicely appointed kitchen and enjoy breakfast at the dining table. Just don't plan to get comfortable and hang out together watching movies or hanging out. It's clean but not regularly used. The landlady is clearly trying hard but needs to rethink how she has staged the house.
Owner response:The home has 4 bedrooms, a piano bar that sits 6, the formal dining room seats 6-8, and the parlor is open to the piano bar for comfortable conversation for a large party, and the downstairs has a bed, a futon and theatre seating for group get togethers (games, movies, etc.) I am not understanding all of the comments above, such as the staging of the home, please feel free to email me to clarify, but it does accommodate up to 8 people comfortably and is clearly set up for relaxation and "Serenity", hence the name. Not sure what you mean by not regularly used, as this year has had hardly any availablity, as every weekend for the past 4 months has been booked solid, and then some. It is our hope and desire that people feel at home in our home, and enjoy it as much as we do. But we appreciate peoples comments as we like to continue to improve our signature services, such as going the extra mile to add complimentary teas, soaps, robes and slippers to make your stay more comfortable.

The interior of the home is all that the listing says it is, with the expection of the 2nd bathroom requiring repair to the shower head. (We had to prop it up with a plastic bottle because it wouldn't hold position with regular hardware.) Beautiful piano bar/kitchen counter and rooms well maintained. The master bath is very nice with lots of light. The back porch and back yard clearly required attention! The porch needs to be pressured washed and painted. The remaining areas were dirty (there is no grass). The hot tub was not hot. We were there one week and reported the problem on day one with no fix during our visit. Someone did come out and hit the "reset" button but to no avail. We had friends staying at Emily's House and Downtown Digs during the same week. I would recommend both those homes over this one.

As stated in the contract, we would try to get any mishaps repaired ASAP, so as soon as we heard about the spa not heating we immediately got the repair man out and thought the reset button would fix the problem. When it did not, we sent him out again, then went ahead and ordered the part needed. Being a vacation rental, I hope you can understand that things do malfunction or break every now and again. Unfortunately, you left before the part was in but I assure you, it is working fantastically now. As for the shower head, I am sorry, but we never got a call or heard anything of that until you checked out and Housekeeping noticed it, and that was repaired immediately with a brand new shower head. As for the backyard, last week we had the entire front and back porches, decks and all railings painted and you would be happy to know it looks absolutely beautiful! We just had to wait for the rains to stop before painting. As for there not being grass, there is a putting green in the backyard (mini golf course)and the entire front yard is grass so I am not sure as to what you meant by that. I hope you had a wonderful stay and hope you will stay with us again.

Had a 50th Birthday party get together that fit the house perfectly. It is well appointed in the kitchen, we had Chef's in the house, and all the essentials were there and new. A Big screen TV for the Masters, putting green and spa for hanging out, Hunter Ranch is 8 minutes away for golf and all the Wine tasting you can dream up. Would recommend this to anyone visiting the Paso area with a extra plus, actually walking distance to downtown.

Me and a few friends were going to Paso for the weekend to just relax and we stumbled upon this place. We booked it over the internet sight unseen and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Not only was it nicer than we expected but it was incredibly clean and set up perfectly for lounging around and visiting. Furthermore, it was an easy few blocks walk to downtown Paso which made it convenient for dining out (there is a great kitchen, if you'd prefer not to dine out for every meal). Everyone agreed that we could not have done better, especially for the price. I would highly recommend this for anyone going to Paso that doesn't want to feel like they have to be out all the time and can't sit around and enjoy each other's company in their accommodations.
