This is a great rental if you're looking for a weekend getaway. Whether you're interested in golf, skiing, hiking, wine tasting, or trying out new restaurants, there is something for you here. The condo was very comfortable and spacious with great views of the resort and ski slope. The owners provided plenty of information on all of the local activities. We couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the weekend.

My family and I stayed in this condo unit last Labor Day weekend to celebrate my birthday. The place was very neat and clean and really beautiful! It was so comfortable there and we had so much fun mainly because we stayed in this beautiful unit. The view of the mountain from the balcony was perfect! My family members climbed the mountain and I took their pictures from the balcony with my camera zoomed in. We enjoyed the scenery in that area of Vernon, as well as the amenities of the Appalachian Condo Hotel - the pool, hot tub/spa, and sauna. Our stay there made my birthday celebration this year really memorable. The owner was very nice. I thank her for being so accommodating and for making sure that everything went well. We would love to go back there for our future vacations.

This was a great condo- wonderful location. We could watch our husbands in the bike races right from the balcony and then walk to the nicely heated pool or waterpark. Wendy was more than accommodating with all our questions both before and during our stay. We plan on coming back! Thanks!

The condo had everything we needed and is more spacious than the pictures make it seem. I loved having my morning coffee on the balcony, so peaceful. I want to bring my girls back and just chill! Thank you for the great accommodations! We had a fabulous time! The condo was spacious and we loved the location. We thoroughly enjoyed the view, the pool and the hot tub! During the weekend we visited the local wineries and went hiking. It was a great getaway!

We had a fabulous time in this beautiful unit. The view was amazing, and our family enjoyed splitting our time between skiing, working out in the gym and swimming in the outdoor 4 season pool. We will definately be returning.

A most wonderful vacation

This is our very first vacation rental through an individial owner. We were very nervous at first becuase we were bringing our family who was visiting us from Malaysia for what might be thier once in a life time ski vacation. We wanted everything to be perfect. After a few emails with Wendy, the owner, we decided to put our faith into her and rented the property. Wendy was so accomodating and understanding. She took the trouble to meet with us when the key cards did not work when we checked in. There was a unison "WOW!!" when all six of us stepped into the condo. The view was incredible. We could watched our niece and nephew skiied down the slope in the comfort of the living room the following days. The decor is warm and cozy, the place is kept in tip top condition, we have the kitchen supplies that we needed for a simple breakfast. The rooms are spacious. My husband and I took the guest room, our niece and sister in law the master and our nephew and his Dad slept well on the sofa bed in the living room. The condo is conveniently located close to the ski school, the underground parking and other amenities. The owners are so thoughtful to compile a list of what to do and where to eat in the area. We tried three of the restaurants listed and they were great. We had a most wonderful time staying with property #268898. If all vacation rentals by owners are like this, we will not be shopping around for hotel rooms any more. Thank you Wendy!!

Came for a Wedding, Would Love to Come Back

These renters are great!!! Our plane was delayed over 3 hours, and I had the keys to this 2 bedroom unit. Wendy was so great and was able to help my uncle acsess the unit even though I was still in Denver. The unit is beautiful, we loved the fireplace. Since it was rainy and cloudy from Nov. 4-6th, the cozy living area was perfect. The four of us even enjoyed the hot tub with some mimosas prior to the wedding. The views from this unit are gorgeous, and we spotted deer in the morning. Reading material was available if needed and the television had enough channels. The hot water confused us for a moment but all directions are listed on the refrigerator. So this was easy to fix, my husband was able to access the internet per the directions in our paperwrk, hiwever my computer would not. Never figured this out. A wonderful stay and we would recommend this renter and unit anytime of year!!!

Wonderful place to getaway!

We stayed 2 nights and had another wonderful time at the Appalachian. The two bedroom is very spacious and light. We have four small children and love to visit for 2 nights at a time. The kids enjoy the heated pool in all seasons. Mom and dad love the shuttle to local restaurants so we can enjoy a drink and stay safe. Definitely going to stay again. The only con is the price. Even though renting from an owner is far less than dealing directly with the hotel, it is still pricey for a family with 4 young children.

Wonderful Condo

I booked the condo for a trip in August 2010 to visit family that lives nearby. I rented for a week with my twin 5 year olds. Our family has had varied success throughout the years renting through VRBO, but I was happy to find this condo was all that is promised on the website. Although the weather during our stay was rainy, my children loved watching the mountain bikers on the ski hill and the pool/hot tubs, and had a fantastic time riding the chair lift up the mountain and hiking the trails. I can only imagine how wonderful the condo is in the winter for watching activities on the ski slope and being just steps away from the ski lift! The unit was well appointed and all of the administrivia was nicely executed:) The condo is located close to a lot of amenities including a grocery store, post office, natural/organic food store and several restaurants. There was plenty of room for the three of us, and the pull out sofa mattress was one of the most comfortable I have ever had the chance to sleep on! Thank you for sharing your condo with us, and providing a nice retreat while visiting family:) We look forward to return visits, my children frequently ask when we can return to the place with the "great pool"!

we just recently returned from a three day getaway at mountain creek and enjoyed everything about staying in this unit...absolutely spotless and the view was amazing...especially for my moutain bike loving husband! we are really enjoying the vernon area and can't wait to go back again! loved having all the brochures in the unit and the typed list of restaurants with the added notes about each place was great and so helpful! We will definalty recommend your unit to everyone we know!

This is a great condo. It has plenty of room - the king beds are awesome. The kids loved the pool and we loved the hot tubs. It's very convenient to be able to walk over to the waterpark.

A Little Peace of Heaven

We have just spent a fantastic 3 weeks in the Appalachian 348 and its just as great as it sounds - there is nothing in the condo that is missing for a perfect hassle free stay - the condo was just as it looks and was in immaculate condition. There was even ice and coffee in the freezer and shampoo conditioner and bodywash in the bathhrooms. Lovely fluffy beach towels to save us carrying them from Scotland. We had a complete list of nearby restaurants and some helpful comments on what they were like. It was amazing to sit on the balcony and watch the groundhogs playing and even a couple of bears amble out of the woods. We had lots of trips to nearby warwick where there were plenty of places to eat - we never had a bad meal and the prices were all very reasonable.My son and husband played all the 7 local golf courses which were in immaculate condition and ranged from easy to hard. It proved a great base for trips to New York City and north to see out daughter at camp. Although we just wanted to come back from NYC and enjoy the peace in Vernon. I would without a doubt recommend it to all my friends and relatives and will definitely rent it again without a moments hesitation should we be fortubate enough to be in the area again. Congratulations on creating such a great and welcoming condo.

Was a little nervous about booking the stay over the computer, but everything turned out more than perfect. Coordinating everything with the owners, was easy and hassel free. The location, and ammenities of the condo were perfect, and very clean!! We stayed with two additional couples, and had more than enough room. You can literally lay on the couch and watch people ski down the bunny slope. Can't wait to stay again this winter :)

Great place, beautiful owners. We stayed there for 2-3 weeks. Plenty of instructors, fantastic kids camp. Easy parking, convenient ski in-out. Nice restaurants in the area (cascade resort, Warwick winery). We'll certainly visit again.
