Abby's Sonoma Getaway was perfect for our group of 8 people. It was so spacious and very clean! The weather was chilly and wet during our weekend, but we were able to spend alittle time sitting around the pool and enjoying the beautifully landscaped backyard. The large windows in the dining/family room area are wonderful for looking at the backyard. The property is secluded, yet close to the downtown area. The beds were comfortable and the linens high quality. We had a personal chef come and cook for us one night and the open kitchen worked very well for being able to sit at the counter to watch/learn from him and interact. The owners were very easy to work with and we appreciated their quick email responses to our questions. I would definitely recommend this house to friends and family. Thanks for a great weekend!

Lovely Home in Sonoma

The home is amazing! Beautifully maintained and spacious layout. The landscaping is attractive and the home situated on a quiet side street approx. one mile walk to Sonoma Square. Large open kitchen/dining room/living room layout perfect for family relaxation and dinners. Great location for day trips to wineries in Sonoma and Napa Valley as well as excursions into Marin County and SF. Owners made sure instructions regarding house were left and great suggestions for local grocery markets, restaurants and activities. Weather too chilly to use pool but enjoyed view of the landscaped backyard area surrounding it.

What a great spot for our group of 8 to spend a long weekend! The house was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the outdoor living space was fantastic. We loved the Fall/Halloween decorations. Quiet street in good location near Sonoma town square. We visited numerous wineries - Castello Amarosa and Artesa were our favorites. Great food at Hurley's in Yountville, Girl and the Fig in Sonoma and Hopmonk for lunch in Sonoma. Excellent sandwiches at Oakville Grocery. We will be back!

Abby's Sonoma Getaway is a great place for a family or group of friends to stay while visiting the Sonoma area. The house is in beautiful condition and the pool, Jacuzzi and Volleyball court are very nice. The whole experience is well worth the cost. This was our second visit at Abby's Sonoma Hideaway and we will definitely return. On a scale of 1-10 I give the entire experience a 10!!!

Myself and 5 other Gals were so excited about the house we rented in Sonoma, we couldn't wait to get there and enjoy. The house and entire property was so spectacular - it showed beyond our expectations! Everything was spotless clean and more spacious than what the web page displays. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend it others!

This house was beautiful, the outdoor area was wonderful you could just sit all day and look at the beauty! We came from all over to come to my son's wedding! Grandpa and Grandma 89 from Ala., Aunt and Uncle from Ga. Mom and Dad from Fla. and we were from Texas with our 9 year old. Everyone was in agreement that this house made the trip wonderful for all. My other four grown kids stayed in a bigger house with their friends. THEIR owner was a PILL with notes all over the house and not helpful at all, very uncomfortable. Plus they paid much more than we did. These owners of the Abby's were more than helpful and went out of their way to help with every need we had. You would be silly to stay anywhere but here. My kids will be back for their one year Anniversary they will come back to this house! It was all on one level which was very nice for the older people, plus very clean and updated. We loved this place and the people that own it. THEY CARED about us, and that is hard to find this day and age. Good luck and Thank you!

Wonderful Family Getaway

Abby's Getaway was the perfect spot for our family gathering. Now that we have two adult working daughters, it can be difficult to arrange time to get away for a vacation together. This was the perfect place. It is lovely, spacious and private, and the owner was so accommodating. Although it was only minutes to downtown Sonoma, we just didn't want to leave the property. A thoroughly enjoyable time and we look forward to doing it again next year!

Great retreat for large groups/families

We had a group of 9 people for a wine tasting weekend and it was a great stay. The accommodations were large enough so no one felt crammed in and the open living/dining/kitchen was great for cooking and entertaining the group. The house is conveniently located in Sonoma, not too far from the square or the highways. I would definitely recommend this property to others. Some of our guests even asked me later for the name so they could rent it again for future weekends. It had a great pool with jacuzzi and a really great volleyball court, which we didn't get a chance to use but would have loved to. The only negative thing I can say is that for some reason the Master bedroom did not have any shades/drapes so first thing in the morning you have a ton of light filling the room. Some people may like that, however, we were a group of women that likes sleeping in a little. This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Our family stayed at Abby's Sonoma Getaway the weekend of our son's wedding. Our time there was wonderful. We will certainly come back and rent that house again if we vacation in that area. The owner was great work with and the house was very clean and well laid out. I definately recommend this property to others.

Great 5 days, We enjoyed the property. We had a wedding in the area and this location was perfect , Close to town and very accessible to everything. Clean and neat House was beautiful, kitchen was perfect for entertaining, Would love to enjoy this property again and again. Would be great for old friends or family to gather for a week and enjoy the house and area..The garage apartment was good for the overflow on the nights we had extra guests. Wish we had more time to enjoy this place, CLose to many wineries

We wanted to spend quality time with our children (don't get us wrong we love our grandchildren but this was about grownup time) and this was the perfect place for it. We melted right into comfort mode. The location and the owners suggestions made it easy to explore the area. We enjoyed wine tasting, dining out, walking around the town, a drive into San Francisco for the day, and experience the night life in Sonoma. The most wonderful part of our stay was the time spent at the house. We sat for hours - talking to eachother, enjoyed the spa, played volleyball (and rock em sock em robot), we danced, we reconnected with eachother. This was a perfect home to remind us that a vacation is about romance, laughter, new experiences, and for us - family. Perfection from the booking to the departure! Thank you - we'll be back!

We had a wonderful time staying in Abby's Sonoma Getaway this January. The house was perfect for our group of 8. I would recommend it to anyone! It was easy to find and a quick trip from SFO. Perfect location for wine tasting in Sonoma and Napa or lunch and dinner on the Sonoma Square. The layout and space of the house truly exceeded our expectations. We had a great time cooking meals in the kitchen and all enjoyed being able to hang out comfortably in the great room. The giant backyard was perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather during the day and the hot tub was amazing for the cooler nights. Thank you so much Steve, Abby and Patty!!

Ten of us stayed at Abby's for a girls' weekend, renting the main house and separate unit. The house was wonderful, in impeccable condition, and with of the amenities we could have wanted. The owner was very accommodating. Throughout the weekend we walked to Sonoma Square, lounged by the pool and in the hot tub, had brunch on the patio, and went for walks through wine country. A private chef did a cooking demonstration in the chef's kitchen, and there was room for all of us to have a working station or just observe and drink wine. Overall was a beautiful and wonderful getaway! I can't wait to go back and rent the house with my family. Thank you!

Excellent winecountry getaway

You will not be dissapointed. The house is more beautiful than the pictures show. The house is located on a semi-private road with easy access to both the Sonoma and Napa valleys. There were 7 of us with 4 more that showed up for the weekend and we had more than enough room. The pool and backyard was great after a long day at the wineries. The only negative was the lack of window coverings in the master bed/bath. The gardener seemed to spend an extra amount of time trimming the bushes by the master bathroom window while we were showering one day.

Owner response:Thanks for the nice review. Gardener only here friday from 11am to 4pm. Set on 3 acres, all windows have coverings and the master is very private.

Absolutely Wonderful in every way

We rented Abbey's Sonoma for our daughter's wedding week. We needed a home that would accomodate our family, which included 3 grandparents over 90. It made traveling with elderly people very convenient since it's all on one floor with 3 bathrooms. The house is gorgeous, even better than in photos. The rooms are decorated beautifully, with fine linens. Everything is provided for you. We didn't think we would use the fireplace outdoors, but the unexpected cool nights were a good reason to sit around the fireplace. The grounds are equally beautiful. The young adults never got out of the pool at night. Although we had a very busy week, we thoroughly enjoyed our home in Sonoma. My husband and I are dreaming of going back and renting it again with some friends or family so that we can really enjoy it without the hecticness of a wedding. The owner is fantastic to deal with. He answered all our questions. I can't say enough good things about this home. Convenient to Sonoma Plaza, although you will need a car. A dream home!
