Map & Owner's Profile
Penn Cove Waterfront Cottage
Year Purchased: 2011
Why the Owner Chose Coupeville
Relaxation in a lovely historic town on Whidbey Island, located approximately half-way between Seattle WA and Vancouver BC with easy access to ferries and the highway.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The cottage is located in a quiet established neighborhood within the Town of Coupeville
The cottage is within walking distance of the historic downtown area, including many restaurants, the library, the history museum, many unique shops and galleries, Coupeville dock, the Chamber of Commerce, farmer's market, and the site of most festivals.
The Farmer's Market is held each Saturday in the summer in the lot behind the state-of-the-art Sno-Isle Library. Here is your opportunity to purchase fresh produce straight from our local farms and borrow books and digital materials, or peruse the internet in friendly surroundings.
Visit the Island County History Museum for information on the early settlement of Coupeville, and the Chamber of Commerce to discover the current festivals and other activities taking place during your stay.
This is the place to launch your small boat or kayak. Native Americans from various tribes in the Puget Sound region launch their racing canoes here during the exciting Water Festival in March.
Have a picnic or play tennis in the town park, and enjoy "Concerts-on-the-Cove" during the summer months!
Larger boats refuel at the Coupeville Dock and it's the place to rent a kayak, sign up for a charter or a whale-watching boat, or take sailing lessons. Discover facts on the marine life in Penn Cove, have a great cup of java, or dine in an inspiring setting over the water. In mid-July, get close-up photographs of spinnakers rounding the buoys during Race Week, and board the Lady Washington, a tall ship, during the Coupeville Arts and Crafts Festival in mid-August.
Penn Cove mussels are renowned nation-wide! You may sign up for a tour of the mussel farm facilities at the Coupeville Dock during the Mussel Fest the first week in March.
