This distinctive, meticulously maintained home has four bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The main floor has a large comfortable living room with a cathedral ceiling, overhead fans, large screen television, and a gas fireplace. The house is completely air-conditioned. On the main floor there is also a master bedroom with a queen size bed, television and a master bathroom with jacuzzi tub.
There is a half-bath on the main floor as well as a new state-of-the-art kitchen with a mini-bar and large table. Off the kitchen is a large screened in porch with television and a large deck with table, chairs, lounge chairs and ample seating. There is a huge backyard for wiffle ball games and a large vegetable garden. The shed holds all our beach chairs, beach toys, bikes and kayaks.
Upstairs are three large bedrooms (one king, two queens) and a large bathroom. There is a full basement with washer/dryer and extra refrigerator.
This large, airy, beautifully landscaped house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac near the bike paths in Katama. Walk to town, walk to South Beach! There are nature trails, birdwatching opportunities, clamming in Katama Bay, kayaking in Edgartown Great Pond - this is a nature lover's paradise! We are near the Katama Airfield and Katama Farm. This is your home away from home! Enjoy your stay as you explore this beautiful Island paradise of Martha's Vineyard.

Why the Owner Chose Katama
Katama is one of the most beautiful parts of the Vineyard. Even on the hottest days in summer, there is always a wonderful breeze. You can hear the roar of the surf on South Beach in the backyard. You can walk to town, walk to the ocean or ride your bike on the bike trails.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Large yard; vegetable garden; large deck; screened in porch; near bike paths; walk to town or the ocean; quiet, dead-end street; beautiful landscaping; nearby kayaking, fishing, boating, sightseeing, nature trails, swimming, clamming, etc.
On Nantucket Sound, so the beach is more of a family beach with few waves. Great place to watch the sunset or watch the windsurfers and kiteboarders.
One of the many bike paths on the Island this one runs from the beach to town.

Our families have always vacationed near the ocean. Cape Cod; Rye, NH; the Hamptons on Long Island; Bonita Beach, FL....but we have been lucky enough to vacation on the Vineyard for 25 years. It is our home away from home. And, in our opinion, it is the most beautiful beach location in the world.
