Come and spend some quality time at this wonderful cabin located near beautiful Payette Lake. Enjoy your mornings, afternoons and evenings in this tranquil setting. Watch deer, fox and the occasional black bear, from the comfort of the living room, dining room, kitchen, front porch or deck. It is cozy, comfortable and convenient! It is located in the year-round beauty of a glacier created valley surrounded by lakes and streams, forests and meadows.
Our cabin is only a short walk to the lake and an approximate 3-minute drive into the charming alpine valley setting of downtown McCall. It is centrally located near many activities: a 15-minute drive to Brundage Mountain Resort for downhill skiing and snowboarding; a 4-minute drive to Bear Basin Trailhead where you have miles and miles of pristine groomed cross-country ski trails in the Winter and easy-to-extreme mountain biking trails in the Summer; a 7-minute drive to snowmobile parking for wonderful wilderness trails to sled.
In the Summer and Fall, McCall is a hiking, backpacking, cycling (road or mountain-bike), golfing, boating, hunting and reel- or fly-fishing paradise. In the Winter and early Spring, it is THE place to come for downhill and cross-country skiing, ice-skating, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, snow-tubing and making snowmen! Also, the last weekend in January and first weekend in February is when we have our annual McCall Winter Festival, complete with parades, special events and magnificent snow-sculptures created by talented artists from all over the U.S. There are two large grocery stores in town to supply your culinary needs and great restaurants if you choose not to cook. And for those of you who like to content themselves with shopping, there are plenty of places to indulge.
You can bring your own “toys” - there is plenty of extra off-street parking at the cabin – or you can travel light and rent them here. Our friendly merchants can supply you with boats, jet skis, rental water-skis/wakeboards/towables, snowmobiles, cross-country and downhill skis and snowboards, and, in Cascade (30 minutes South of McCall) you can rent ATVs.
All in all, Casa del Carmen and our lovely town will meet . . . or beat . . . your expectations of a wonderful vacation, whether you are an outdoor enthusiast or simply want to curl up with a good book in front of the fireplace!

A charming park with a spectacular view. A peaceful place to sit and relax, have a picnic, visit with friends. A bronze sculpture of a family of whimsical bears is a perfect photo opportunity.

Before we had ever been to McCall, we had been told what a beautiful place it was. As we drove into town on a beautiful summer day, we had our first look at Payette Lake. The highway descended into the flower clad town which gave us a glimpse of this beautiful glacier-formed lake and the surrounding mountains which frame it. It took our breath(s) away! Since that time, we have made this wonderful piece of paradise our home. When we bought this cabin, our dream was for our guests to experience the innumerable wonders of this area, just as we do. We hope you enjoy it!

My husband and I plus our 2 well behaved dogs stayed here for the month of August. Every thing was perfect especially the weather which I know was up to mother nature. The cabin was very comfortable all we needed was our clothes and the owners couldn't of made us feel more welcome. This cabin is very convienient to all Mccall has to offer and I would definitly reccomend it. With any luck we will be back!!

We had a quick weekend trip to McCall and wished we could have stayed longer in this comfortable cabin. It is very well maintained and perfectly clean, the beds are comfortable with nice bedding, a nice sized kitchen, and a living area that is open with enough room for several people. The location is convenient to the lake and town and in a quiet neighborhood. We had a fabulous summer getaway and would definitely choose this cabin again in the future!

My wife and i stayed in this house for 5 weeks in Feb / March 2011. We feel that as good as the photo's are - they still don't do the house justice. It has an open plan between the kitchen, dining and lounge rooms that provides a great space to catch up after the days events. We loved the main bedroom and ensuite - the bed feels luxurious, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed.You will sit in the lounges at the end of the day and not want to get up - and you won't have to, as the house is situated in a beautiful and private location close to the centre of town - you can roll down the blinds and just relax. The owners were fantastic, we had a very small issue with the Cable T.V and that was fixed in a quick and professional manner. We have been travelling for over 20 years and the owners of this house are the most honourable that we have encountered in that time. We have already booked in for our next holiday, we can't say any more than that.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cabin! We stayed for 5 nights in January and we couldn't have felt more at home... everything is so well appointed and comfortable. And perfectly located -- close to Bear Basin where we enjoyed fabulous snowshoeing and, of course, Brundage ski resort which offered us amazing ski conditions. This home offers everything you need for a perfect home away from home vacation: perfectly appointed kitchen, outside gas grill, laundry facilities, and a garage that was nice to park our car in since it snowed quite a bit during our stay. Thank you again, Cathy, for everything and we hope to stay here again for future visits to McCall!

We have lived in Idaho for many years and had visited McCall innumerable times. However, we did not even know this neighborhood existed. The house is close to town but there is no traffic noise and the quiet is wonderful. The house is spacious and has all the amenities you would need. We hope to visit again soon.

What a fantastic house! Location, location, location. Just minutes from downtown McCall and in a very quite setting. Clean, warm, and just an all around great house. You will not be dissapointed with this one.

I had the pleasure of staying at this house while on a hunting trip. Had a great time and there was plenty of room to move around. The neighborhood was nice and peaceful as well, but still within close proximity to town.
